Chapter 22
She felt the loss immediately when she left and sat in her car. She drove back home. While she sat in the bath, she started to feel thirsty again. She held her head. The events of the last two days had made her feel completely okay, but now that she had no one around again, all her problems appeared again.
Finally, she could sleep well, but she felt even worse. She got ready and went into the hospital. When she arrived, she noticed the little crowd at the reception. She frowned at first, but then she realized what was happening. Asher was back, and their colleagues and assistants were around him. He looked happy, obviously he felt good to be liked and cared about so many people. Olivia had a bittersweet feeling, but she smiled and she walked on. She changed, and then she started to work. She did not realize Asher’s gaze was on her.
The Bloks
nightmare period was still ongoing. Since the won could no longer be blamed, they blamed the close celebrations.
She treated patient after patient. That should have helped her forget about her thirst, but that did not work this time either. A half year passed since she got blood the last time, and unfortunately, her body ached as well. She felt like her body was drying out. Even though she feared the darkness, she could accept his faith, but she did not want her death to be long and torturous. Whilst she had a little break, she took her new phone and searched for a flat for rent, She did not know if she had time to move on, but she felt she had to try.
She wrote her resignation letter and said she would give it to Dr Knox at the end of the day.
She went back to work, and just when she got back, a patient arrived from a serious car accident.
She ran there and got ready for the surgery quickly. When she saw the patient full of blood and heard about his injuries, she thought she could not save him. but she told herself she must try. She forgot about herself, and she smelled in the air. She felt her fangs come out instantly, and she froze for a moment to calm her nerves down
“Dr. Floses, we will lose him!” an assistant shouted at her, but her senses and hearing were gone. She swallowed and returned to push, waking her from her daze.

“I get this, Olivia. Have a break. She heard Asher. To make Asher believe she could not do her job because her thirst was the least she wanted, she quickly pushed him away.
“I’m fine.” She said, and she quickly started to work. Asher didn’t want to argue because of the patient’s state. He just left the room, but he stayed close.
Finally, Olivia got him back, and even if she was not sure he would survive, she was proud of herself, but she also knew she had to leave immediately. She could not risk lives. After she finished, she ran out of the hospital and squatted down, leaning against the wall where no one saw her. Her whole body ached and felt like she could not hear it. She took how minutes outside while her fangs disappeared, at least.
She walked back slowly, and she went straight to Dr Knox.
She said she wa
was nut well. Dr Knox suspected she had caught the infection from Asher, so she was very understanding and let her go home. She didn’t dare to drive; she didn’t want to risk innocent lives. She just left her car there and walked home. When she was at home, she sat down on the floor next to her inflatable bed. Her body ached even more. She felt like she was not able to move.
She lay down, and she just watched the ceiling. Olivia was thinking. She was thinking of her long life. She tried to recall her human life. It was so many years ago; she didn’t know how many exactly. It was over five hundred years ago, What she wanted to remember was her parents and her family. Did she have a lover? She frowned. Did she have a pet? How did she become a vampire? She was a human before, for sure. She frowned. “Was I luman?” Olivia questioned out loud. She knew nothing anymore. Her vision went blurry, and her pain was unbearable. She passed out.
