“You can talk to me. I don’t live here, and I would never put you in trouble for speaking up,“
The boy needed a few minutes to tall, because he started crying. Asher waited for him to be able to
speak patiently.
“Since Beta Harry is leading the pack, it is a hell for us. They beat us up for a small reason. It doesn’t matter what we do. Anytime we ask them why they do this to us, they say because they can. They say we are good for nothing. We are weak, and it is better if there aren’t many of us in the pack. They only need enough of us to serve them.”
Asher’s eyes widened. And he promised himself he would talk to his father alust that as soon as possible. He suspected Beta Harry had taken the Alpha role since his father had gotten ill, but he did not think he had made the pack a horrible place to live.
“You don’t have to worry. I will tell the doctor to keep you here for a few days.” The boy shook his head.
“Please, let me go back tomorrow. If I stay here long, they will punish me for laziness.”
Asher rolled his eyes again; then he nodded in understanding:
“I’ll make sure they will give you lighter duties.
The boy still looked scared, but he nodded. Asher knew what he wanted to say. He wanted to ask him to say nothing so he wouldn’t be punished more, but Asher wanted someone to do something about this situation. He suspected this boy wasn’t the only one who suffered from punishment daily, and that just wasnt acceptable in the Blue Moon Pack.

Aster just watched him for a while. The boy slept in. He felt sorry for him, and for a moment, he thought about what he had not been thinking about for a long time.
It was his fault. He could return and do his role if he was strong enough to face Lury and Harry. Beta Harry would hate him for that, but he could make the lives of these weak, innocent creatures easier. He sighed and stood up, then walked to the window with crossed arms.
There would be so many things that he should change. He could help so many park members to live everyday life, and he remembered he used to have numerous ideas to change things, buildings, schools, and rules. This place could be a goil place to live. There was only one thing that he couldn’t miss. An Alpha needs a Luna. If he chouses someone from the pack, Beta Harry would become furious, abd as the pack members take him as their leader, they would oppose Asher, beta Harry and his daughter were the masters of lying, and he had to admit that to take the Alpha position where he belonged by blood would he hand without supporters
He lowered its head. There was no way he would accept Lucy as his Luna.
A long time passed when he heard the doctor enter.
“Are you still here, young Alpha?” He was surprised to see him there,
“I just wanted to make sure he is fine.”

The doctor shank his head.
*I did that already. He said they have nothing to do in the pack if they cant defend themselves. If they want in stay despite that, they are strong enough to take the consequences

“Since you left, the thighs have changed a lot. Beta Harry has full power over your father, and it seems like Alpha Arthur doesn’t want to change it.”
“He is ill” Asher tried to find an excuse for his father, but the doctor shook his head again.
“He isn’t human, young Alpha. Our bodies i
work differently. The medications used to treat him aren’t causing damage in our minds. We remain clear. So you can’t make an excuse for Alpha Arthur, I am afraid.”
