Chapter 6
“No, and now, if you would excuse me. He tried to move on, but Lary hugged him again.
me go.” he whispered in disbelief.
“Please, just let me hug you for a moment. I miss you so much.” And she inhaled the scent of Ashers shirt,
Asker turned around so Lucy couldn’t embrace him. She had no choice but to let him go, making his refusal clear.
“Forget me,” he said, walking away quickly. Lucy stayed there, crying loudly, which only angered Asher more.
Finally, when he reached his car, he just tossed his bag into it and left the territory in a rush. He regretted coming here this evening. He should have known he would meet her again, and she would force him to listen to her lies again.
He drove back to his house in frustration. Because Lucy hugged him, her scent remained on his clothes, which made him mad. It still made him excited but in a bad way. It didn’t make him aroused; it only made him remember the bad times which he hated.
When he entered his house, he quickly undressed and threw his clothes into the washing machine. After he turned it on, he turned on the shower. He stepped under the shower and scrubbed his skin using a hard sponge and shower gel until it started to hurt him. Eventually, he used two full bottles, but when he got to bed, he could still smell her scent on his skin, keeping him awake half the night. He turned around a hundred times, trying to cover his face, focusing on the scent of the limen, but probably, the scent remained in his mind. It was close to the morning when he finally managed to fall asleep.
In the morning, he opened his eyes suddenly. He sat up and checked the time. He was fare,
“Fuck!” He shouted, then he jumped out of bed. He got dressed quickly and ran to his car,
Because he was late, he also had to face the traffic, which only made him more frustrated.
He parked his car, and he rushed to the hospital. He planned to drink coffee as soon as possible, as he had already felt exhausted.
“Asher, you are late.” The receptionist greeted him.
“I slept in.” He said while he went to the folders, ignoring her.
“You are down to do out of hours, GP Asher rolled his eyes first, but then he frowned.
“But why?”
The receptionist only shrugged her shoulders. Asher only made a face. How would she now? He thought.
Not that he wasn’t happy about having a peaceful day, but as he felt exhausted, he would have been happier to do a job that kept him occupied for the entire shift.
He hurriedly walked to the consultour rooms and met his manager, Dr. Knox. She didn’t look too happy, though.
“Asher, do you know what time it is?”
“I know. I am sorry. I forgot to set my alarm,”
Dr Knox shook her head in dislike, but she knew Asher usually turned in with good timekeeping, so she thought the scolded him enough.
“You go to the consultant room four. Dr. Hores is already there. I wour you to take care of her today. She learns quickly and moves like she already knows the place, but I don’t want her to feel like we don’t take care of her.”
Asher added, hiding his dislike. When Asher heard he would need to be with Oli agar and could not escape like yesterday, he felt horrible. He walked to the department, and usually, he wouldn’t have rushed duside the room, but patients were waiting so he didn’t want to keep them waiting.
He took a deep breath before opening the door. As soon as he stepped into the room, he met Olivia’s gaze, who examined a young boy.
“Oh Dr Carter got here finally.” She said sarcastically, plancing at Asher.
