Chapter 41 After Xander had told me that the whole pack was going crazy, because I had gone ‘missing‘ I felt extremely guilty. I shouldn’t have fell asleep under that tree, bad things could have happened. A rogue could’ve attacked me or I could have been kidnapped, so many things could have happened and a the future alpha I should be more responsible. I sighed as I felt the rain falling onto my body. It was still raining but it was just a little shower now. I looked up to see my large house a few yards away from us. The majority of the pack, with my parents standing in front, were waiting outside not even caring about the rain. As soon as my parents saw me they let out sighs of relief, making me feel even more guilty. I ran up to them and they dropped to there knees, hugging the life out of me. I let out a quiet whine to let them know that I was sorry and they simply hugged me tighter. “We thought something happened to you Celeste, we were so worried.” My mom said as soon as the released me. I looked at her with big eyes and nodded my head. I felt something being pushed into my side and looking up I saw that it was Lela holding a change of clothes in her hands. I grinned a her before taking the clothes and running behind a tree to change. As soon as I came back my parents hugged me again, this time properly, and I hugged them back. Thank you for helping us find her son, we appreciate it so much.” My dad said to Xander. “It wasn’t a problem sir, I was glad to help.” He answered back as he stared at me with a smile. I blush rose up onto my cheeks and I quickly looked away but I know that he saw it because I heard him let out a soft chuckle. “Is it true? That you and Xander are mates.” I suddenly heard from behind me. I slowly turned around to see a group of people, some my age, some adults, standing there looking at me expectantly. My eyes widened but they turned into a glare when I looked at Xander. He smiled sheepishly, I had to contain an eye roll. I turned back to the group to see them looking between us curiously. My parents were watching me carefully to, seeing what I would say. I sighed and took a deep breath, there’s no point in denying the truth. “Yes we are mates.” I answered honestly. I know most of the entire pack heard me and many people gasped. “So it’s true. But why aren’t you guys together?” A girl from my school asked. It made my blood book because she’s one of the girls that’s constantly hanging off of Xander’s arm. Xander must have noticed that I was getting worked up because he stepped in. “It’s complicated and we don’t really want to talk about it.” He answered kindly. I silently thanked him and watched as the girl checked him out before shrugging and walking away. Looking around I noticed that almost every girl was practically drooling over my shirtless mate and that angered me beyond belief. A very low and quiet growl made its way out of my mouth but only the people who were close to me heard it. My parents, along with Seth, Lela and Xander gave me a strange look. Before I even had time to think about what I was doing I grabbed Xander’s hand and started pulling him towards the house quickly. All I could think about was to get him away from all of those other girls, so that they couldn’t look at what was mine. I dragged Xander up the stairs and into my bedroom, shutting the door I pushed him down onto my bed. Xander looked confused after I did that but what I did next got the message across quite clearly.  “Mine” I growled possessively before crawling onto the bed and straddling him. Xander looked at me with wide eyes that were soon replaced with Just filled ones as I ran my hands down his well sculpted chest. My wolf was so close to the surface at the moment that I wasn’t even thinking about what I wasdining as i placed my lips on his and started to kiss him hungrily. Xander responded immediately and started kissing me with just as much pection. He ran his tongue across my bottom lip, asking for entrance and when I denied him he growled. Suddenly I felt Xander’s hands slid into my shirt and run up and down my sides, this caused me to gasp and he immediately plunged his tongue into ayseth. Our tongues battled for dominance, I was desperately trying to keep control of the kiss but I eventually gave into him. I broke away after a few Homeches to catch my breath but that didn’t stop Xander he trailed kisses along toy jaw and down onto my neck where he started to be and rup. I sarkall & derp breath when he hut my soft spot and I felt him smirk against my neck before he started to suck

Chapter 40 Chapter 40 Alpha Alaric cleared his throat and all heads snapped back towards him. “As you all know you’ve been called here because my daughter Celeste is nowhere to be found. The last time she was seen was earlier today out in the meadow behind our house, I went back to look for her but her scent was walked away by the rain.” He paused to look at all of us. Every person in the room had a concerned look on there face because there future alpha was nowhere to be found. “Now were going to split into groups of five am go look for her. I’ll be in charge of a group, Luna Ashton will be in charge of one, beta Josh will have a group, his son Seth will have one, and Xander will have one.” He finished. I was somewhat surprised that he out me in charge of a group and apparently so was some other people. “Why is he in charge of a group? Why is he even here, he’s not in our pack?” A guy who I think goes to our school called out. I let out a low growl but Alpha Alaric have me a warning look. “Xander is here because, he’s the best chance that we have at finding Celeste.” He called out. Many people had offended looks in there faces because there alpha had just said that a non member of there back was more capable then them but they don’t know that she’s my mate. “That’s insulting. He’s nearly a pup, what makes him so much better then the rest of us?” Called an middle aged man. The alpha let out a frustrated sigh but before he had the chance to speak up I did. “She’s my mate. That’s why, now can we get going or not?” I asked angrily. Almost every person in the room let out a surprised gasp. I rolled my eyes and stared hardly at the wall. “Okay let’s get going.” Alpha Alaric called. I nodded my head and started walking towards the door. Five men where following behind me but I couldn’t be bothered to speak to them. “Follow me.” I barked out before I took my shorts off and shifted into my wolf. I saw a brick path ahead of me and I knew that that would lead to the meadow that she was in. We arrived in a big open meadow in less then five minutes and I immediately started sniffing around. The rain was pouring heavily and I was beginning to think that her scent had completely washed away when I caught the slightest hint of her scent. My wolf went crazy when he smelt it and I immediately started following it out of the meadow and to the west. I barked at the other men motioning for them to follow me before I took off, following her faint scent. The only thing that slightly out me at ease was the fact that Celeste’s scent wasn’t mixed with anyone else’s, so she wasn’t kidnapped. We followed her scent westwards for about twenty minutes before turning to the left and continuing but suddenly I lost her scent. I sniffed around all over the area but I couldn’t pick up her scent again. I started to panic, what if we can’t find her. The other men in the group were looking at me questioningly but I ignored them. I closed my eyes and concentrated very hard, blocking out the loud rain, and it was then that I heard the faint sound of a heartbeat. My eyes shot open and I sprinted in the direction of the heartbeat. I looked ahead of me and saw a small stream and as I neared the stream the heart beat got louder and louder. I stopped at the stream and looked around confused. I was getting frustrated when I turned around and saw something that made all of my panic fade away, my small mate lying under a large tree. She was in her wolf form but I knew it was her because of how crazy my wolf was going. I ran towards her small black and white wolf and stopped right in front of her, Her breathing was deep and even and I knew that she was simply sleeping. I nuzzled my about into her neck, taking in deep breaths of her scent, before lying my large wolf body over her smaller one. Celeste stirred when I did this and a few seconds later her eyes fluttered open. Her bright blue eyes looked around confused before they landed on me. She flattened her ears against her head and growled at me but stopped when she realized it was me. I sighed and happily licked from one side of her face to the other. She looked surprised before she let out a frustrated growl. I smiled at her best I could before carefully getting up from her. Celeste looked around and her eyes widened when she saw that it was dark outside. I stepped forward and pushed my forehead to hers, she froze for a moment before relaxing. I closed my eyes and sighed happily, my mate is safe and that’s all that matters. *Celeste’s POV I huffed in annoyance as Xander nipped at my hind leg again. It’s the forth time he’s done it in the last ten minutes and it was really starting to irritate me. Apparently I wasn’t going fast enough, or so he told me through the mate link, and so he was nipping at my legs to get me to go faster. 11:31  After I Got Pregnant, My Mate Said His Wolf Cheated

Chapter 39  When I run I’m happy and free, it feels like all of my worries are melting away. I had spent all day worrying about what happened with Xander that it felt so good to be able to forget it all and just let loose, to have a little fun. I’m still unsure about what I’m going to do but at the moment it’s not a priority. About half an hour later I was starting to feel tired and thirsty so I stopped at a stream that I had found a while back. I stared down into the crystal clear water, studying my appearance. My fur is completely white with large specks and dots of black in it, an even mixture of my parents fur. I greedily lapped up the cold water and when I was rehydrated I happily trotted over to a big tree that was a few feet away. I plopped down right under the giant tree and rested my head on top of my front paws. I had just closed my eyes when I heard the quiet sound of falling rain drops. I opened my eyes and curiously studied the small rain drops as the fell onto the ground and before I knew it I fell into a deep, dreamless sleep. *Xander’s POV* I clenched my hands and with a frustrated sigh I chucked the pencil I had been holding at my bedroom wall. I watched as the pencil broke into many small pieces and ran a hand threw my already messed up hair. I jumped backwards onto my bed and layer down, closing my eyes and putting my hands behind my head. Ever since the incident at school I couldn’t stop mentally beating myself up. I had promised steps that I would take it slow and try to build a friendship with Celeste before I even thought about a relationship, but of course I had to go and kiss her and probably mess up any chance I had with her in the first pace. Then I had to go and apologize to her for everything, she’s probably overwhelmed with everything. I was still deep in thought when suddenly my bedroom door was thrown open and somebody ran in. Startled I jumped up from my bed and glared at the intruder, my mom. I was just about to open my mouth and probably say something mean when I noticed the look on her face, she looked worried and scared. You see my Kim is usually a very calm and collective woman so seeing her like this was putting me on edge. “What’s wrong?” I asked worriedly. My mom gulped and steadied her breathing before answering. “It’s Celeste, she’s missing!” She rushed out. As soon as the words left her mouth I froze. It was like I was paralyzed, unable to move or breath. Missing. That’s a word that I never wanted to hear when it came to my mate. What is somebody took her? What if they had her trapped in a cage or a cell right now? What is they were hurting her? That last question seemed to knock me out of the frozen state I had been in and my eyes snapped back to my moms. “What do you mean she’s missing!” I bellowed. My mom jumped back a few inches from my sudden outburst but quickly compose herself. “She’s gone. Ashton and Alaric called about five minutes ago asking if she ha crossed over into our land because they can’t find her anywhere and they can’t pick up her scent because of the horrible storm.” My mom finished in one breath. My wolf was howling inside my head, demanding that I go find our mate. I turned and sprinted out of my room and down the stairs. “Xander! Where are you going!” My mom yelled after me but I ignored her and only stopped when I got to the bottom of the stairs where my dad was standing with his car keys in his hand. I quickly shook my head at him. “No that will take to long, I’m running there.” I rushed out as my mom reached the bottom of the stairs. Dad nodded his head and I took that as my cue to go. I ran towards the front door and towards the woods behind our house. I only stopped to take my shorts off, so I would have something to change into when I shifted back. I immediately shifted into my large dark brown wolf and grabbed my shorts in my mouth. I ran towards Celestes house at a speed that I don’t think I’ve ever reached before. I couldn’t even recall how long it took me to get there because I was so worried. The rain pounded down on my fur, soaking me but I couldn’t seem to care. I saw the large White House in front of me and Celestes mom, Ashton, standing at the back door hulding it open for me. I quickened my pace and jumped up onto the porch, shaking dry before entering the house. Ashton turned around so that I could put my wet shorts on and I cleared my throat when I was decent. She turned back around and gave me a small but sad smule. She didn’t say anything to me but simply led me into the living room where Celestes dad and at least twenty other pack members stood. All heads turned towards me and most had confused looks on there faces, with the exception of Celestes dad and her cousin Seth. 11-21 After I Got Pregnant. My Mate Said His Wolf Cheated

Chapter 38 “You father had this pathway put in back when we were teenagers.” She said, a faraway look on her face. I nodded my head and the two of us walked onto the stone pathway into the woods. We walked for a few moments, in complete silence, until we reached a beautiful lake. I was completely surprised because I had no clue that there was a lake anywhere near our house. “Your dad brought me here for our first date, and ended up carrying me all the way home.” She ended with a laugh. A small smile made its way into my face because of how in love my parents are. Continuing on the path my mom went into full story mode. “You see for one of our dates your dad had made this pathway and then scattered rose petals to lead me to him. The petals led past the lake and all the way to where he was.” She finished as we approached a waterfall. Just like the lake it was beautiful. As we continued to walk we passed a large meadow of flowers and a small stream that was buzzing with life, all along the way mom told me about her and dads date. I was starting to think that this story didn’t really have a good meaning behind it because it was doing nothing but putting me in an even worse mood when we suddenly walked into a large and beautiful meadow. The trees towered above us, creating a canopy, and there were butterflies and flowers and life everywhere, it was amazing. I stared in awe before mom started taking again. “And this place, this place is the most important of all of them. This is where your dad proposed to me, where we completed the mating process, and where we got married.” She said dreamily. I got slightly grossed out look on my face when she talked about the mating process but other wise I thought it was sweet. “I get it that this place is special and stuff but to be honest your really helping me feel any better..” I trailed off. Mom turned to me and smiled largely before taking a seat on the ground. She patted the grass next to her and I slowly sat down. She then continued with her story. “But our relationship wasn’t always happy and fairy tale like. You see back when I was about seventeen I wasn’t very…pretty to put it lightly. I was over weight and I used to get picked on all the time. Your father, being the future alpha was a total player and when he found out I was his mate he rejected me.” Mom said as she stared at a pretty flower in front of her. I let out a quiet gasp and stared at mom questioningly. I would have never guessed that dad had rejected mom because there so happy and in love with each other. Mom nodded her head before continuing. “I was so heart broken that I ran away. I ran for a few days and eventually I met Reed and he and the other boys excepted me into their pack. I worked hard and lost all of my weight and before I knew it I was beautiful and more confident with myself. Eventually we had to move in with your dads pack because of rogue problems. He was so surprised to see me and after a lot of hard work we got together and lived happily, put the point is that he realized what he had lost and how much I had meant to him. And I think that’s exactly what’s happening with your mate, I think that he’s finally realizing what he has. ” Mom finished off her story. I was speechless for a few moments after that. Could it be true? Could he finally realized what he has right in front of him? Question after question was running threw my head and I just didn’t know what to make of it. I let out a sigh before turning to my mom to see that she had a small smile playing on her lips. She got up and brushed the grass off of herself before looking down at me. “Why don’t you stay out here for a little while, it’s a really great place to think.” Mom said as she smiled and walked off back towards the house. I rubbed my eyes with my hands and then laid down in the grass. Could what my mom said be true? Could Xander really be changing his mind about me? And if so then what am I going to do about it? Well one things for sure, he won’t be getting me back easily. “Celeste’s POV* I stared up at the tall trees above me and let out a frustrated sigh. I’m still laying in the meadow that my mother brought me to earlier and I haven’t moved an inch since. My eyes darted around the meadow and with a grunt I pulled myself up off of the ground. I had just started to walk towards the paved path that would take me back home when I had the sudden urge to shift, so I did. 1 quickly scanned my surroundings to make sure that there was no one around before I pulled my clothes off and neatly put them at the bottom of a nearby tree. I closed my eyes as the familiar feeling of the shift took over my body, I slightly smiled and when I opened my eyes again I was no longer on two feet but on four paws. I let out a happy bark and took off running in the opposite direction of my house. I was running at top speed, ducking under branches and jumping over fallen trees, my wolf was so happy to finally be let out because it had been a while since I last shifted.    After 1 Cot Droonant My Mate Said His Wolf Cheated  

Chapter 37 My eyes widened and a thousand thought were running threw my head, sorry for what? For kissing me or for playing with my heart like he has been doing. I sucked in a small breath and shakily released it. “For what?” I asked quietly. Xander sighed and looked at the ground before bringing his eyes back to mine. “For everything. For doing what I have been doing to you, for hurting you and being a huge jerk. I- I’m sorry.” He spoke, getting quieter towards the end. I was shocked to say the least. My mind was practically blank and I had no clue what to say. One minute he’s strutting his whores in front of me, purposely trying to hurt me, and the next he’s kissing me and saying that he’s sorry. It just doesn’t make any sense. Xander…I don’t know what to say. Your going to give me whip flash with your sudden changes of heart.” I spoke seriously. Xander let a small smile make its way onto his face but it soon disappeared and changed to a serious one. “I know and again I’m sorry. I just, I’m not asking you to forgive me I just want you to know that I’m sorry for hurting you.” He finished. I had opened my mouth to reply but before I could he walked towards me and put a hand to my cheek, silencing me. He looked into my eyes, and as I stared back into his I saw nothing but truthfulness. He slowly leaned towards me, for a moment I thought he was going to kiss me but he didn’t, he slowly pressed his lips against my forehead for a few moment and pulled away. And without another word he walked away. I watched Xander’s retreating back and sighed frustrated, the boy doesn’t make any sense to me. Suddenly I heard the bell ring and cursed under my breath, late for class again. I arrived to my last class of the day a few minutes late but the teacher let me off with a warning. I fidgeted in my seat because I could feel Xander’s gaze on my back, and that how the rest of my health class went by, me fidgeting in my seat because I could feel Xander’s eyes. When the bell finally rang I was the first one out of the seat and I speedily made my way out of the class room. I thought that I heard Xander’s voice from behind me but I couldn’t be sure. When I got out into the parking lot I quickly made my way over to Seth’s car. Lela and Seth were already at the car waiting for me and when they saw me nearly running to approach the car they gave me questioning looks. “What’s up with you?” Lela asked as soon as we got into the car. I sighed and ran a hand threw my hair before briefly telling her about what happened between Xander and I. “Wow. He just doesn’t make any sense.” Lela muttered as she leaned back in her seat. I sighed and nodded my head in agreement. Before the conversation could continue any further Seth stopped outside my house. “We’ll here we are, I’ll call you later. Bye guys!” I said as I got out of the car. “Bye!” Seth and Lela both answered before pulling away. I slowly made my way up the driveway and into the house. I dropped my back pack onto the ground and was about to go upstairs when I suddenly decided that I needed somebody to talk to, somebody who could give me some advice, my mom. I walked towards the kitchen, knowing that mom would be in there, and when I neared it I heard soft humming. As soon as I walked in moms head snapped up and she gave me a large smile before coming over and giving me a hug. “Hi honey! Did you have a good day at school?” She asked genuinely interested. I let out a long sigh before slowly shaking my head. “No.” I trailed off slowly. Mom got a concerned look on her face before she sat on the seat next to me and took my hand in hers. “What happened?” She asked worriedly. I took in a deep breath before explaining everything that happened at school, from the kiss to Xander’s apology, all in detail. “I just don’t understand, I don’t get him, I don’t know what he wants from me.” I finished quietly putting my head into my hands. I heard my mom get up from her chair and a few moments later I felt her put a hand on my shoulder. “Come take a walk with me, I think that I have a story that will help you…understand him better.” Mom said slowly. I looked at her confused before getting up from my chair and following her outside. In the backyard we have a huge garden and the woods are right behind it. I followed my mom out towards the woods, we were walking threw the garden for a moment before we approached a stone pathway that lead into the woods, one that I never even knew existed. My mouth fell slightly open and I turned towards my mom who had a small smile on her face. I opened my mouth to ask but she beat ine to it.  

Chapter 36 “It was n nothing.” I stuttered. Lela snorted before muttering a few words under her breath. “Is he your mate?” Sydney asked suddenly. I froze on the spot before glancing at her with wide eyes. We’re all close friends but I don’t know if I should tell them. I bit my bottom lip and twisted my fingers together before slightly nodding my head. Sydney, Courtney and Violet all gasped while Lela kept her gaze on me. Nobody said anything for a few seconds and I was starting to question my decision of telling them when Violet asked a question. “Why didn’t you tell us?” She asked quietly. I knew that this question was going to be coming and I don’t know how to answer. I searched my brain for an excuse when I decided that I wasn’t going to lie to them, because there my friends. Because…I didn’t know how to tell you guys.” I finally answered after a few minutes. Sydney raised an eyebrow at me and crossed her arms over her chest. wReally? How about, hey guys I found my mate and he’s the totally sexy alpha from the other pack.” Sydney finished with a giggle. A growl tried to make its way out when Sydney called Xander sexy but I thankfully held it in. “It’s not that simple okay, he doesn’t exactly want me.” I finished with a sigh. Again the three girls gasped and came a bit closet to me. “Did he reject you?“Courtney asked in disbelief. I quickly shook my head no. “He didn’t reject me..he just told me that we can’t be together because…I don’t even know why.” I answered quickly. Relief spread across there faces but was soon replaced with confusion. “That doesn’t make any sense.“Sydney said and she put a hand on her hip. I nodded my head in agreement but before the conversation could continue any further the bell rang, signaling that the period was over. We all made our way towards the locker room but before I entered I felt a pair of eyes on me. I slowly turned around and connected eyes with my mate. He was simply staring at me and it as starting to make me nervous. After a few seconds he started walking towards me. My eyes widened and I felt a blush slowly rising on my cheeks. When Xander reached me I nervously shifted on my feet. “We need to talk, meet me after class.” He said. I looked at him confused but he simply gave me a small smile and walked away. I stared at his back confused before turning away and trudging up the stairs to the locker rooms. To be honest I’m really nervous to hear what he says, I’m afraid that he’s going to tell me that it was a mistake and that it was never meant to happen. After I dressed back into my clothes I slowly made my way out of the locker room and into the hallway, and just as I expected Xander was leaning against the wall waiting for me. I stood next to him by the wall and looked down at the ground, nervously. He let out a long sigh before facing me. “Llook, I’m.” He started but stopped after a few seconds of stuttering. I felt pain stab my heart because this could only mean that he was going to tell me that it didn’t mean anything to him. I took in a deep breath before speaking the words that he couldn’t seem to get out. “I get it, you don’t have to say it.” I started. Xander looked at me confused. “You do?“He asked. I nodded my head and took a small step away from him. “Ya I get it, you want to tell me that the kiss was a mistake and that it wasn’t meant to happen. You don’t have to say it.” I said quietly before turning to walk away. I got no more then two steps away from him when I felt a hand wrap around my arm and hardly pull me backwards. I slammed into Xander’s chest and his arms wrapped around my small frame. I was breathing heavily because the close contact was literally making my heart pound. Xander had his arms wrapped around my waist tightly and he was slowly breathing in my scent. After a few moments he let me go and I took a wobbly step away, turning around to face him. Xander looked, surprisingly, mad. I scrunched my eyebrows together confused and looked him in his eyes. He stared right back into mine and I felt the butterfly’s being released again. Sighing, Xander ran a hand threw his dark hair. “Why do you do that?” He questioned but continued before I even got the chance to reply. “You jump to conclusions all the time! When I told you that We couldn’t be together you jumped to the conclusion that I was rejecting you and now with the kiss!” He finished angrily. I flinched back at his angry tone and he must have saw it because his face softened and he took a step toward me, grabbing my hand. 11:31  After I Got Pregnant, My Mate Said His Wolf Cheated 37.6% Chapter 36 “I’m sorry, you just get me so worked up. Look I wasn’t trying to say that the kiss was a mistake, because it was anything but that. That kiss was amazing and I could never regret it, I was trying to say that..I’m sorry.” He finished quietly.

Chapter 35  “Okay class, today we will be running.” She stated. There were groans and whining coming from all around the class room but I was okay with it because running calms me. Coach Thomas rolled her eyes before continuing. “You have to run fifty laps around the gym and when your done you can do what you like but don’t leave the gym.” She finished and with that she walked towards the bleachers and took a seat. I grinned before turning to Cole to see that he had the same grin on his face. “I’m gonna beat you!” He said. I smirked and shook my head. “No your not, I’m gonna beat you!” I said back and with that I took off. “Cheater!” I heard Cole tell from behind me but I knew that he would be able to catch up. I laughed and sped up when I heard him coming. Cole is my beta so he’s not as strong or fast as me but he’s pretty close. You see his father was beta to my father so the title was passed on to him. Cole and I had ran about ten laps and we were booking it around the gym. Cole was only a little ways behind me and I turned my head to look back at him and when I turned back around I saw that I was about to crash into a small girl. My eyes widened but I had no time to stop myself, so instead I securely wrapped my arms around the girl and right before we hit the ground I flipped us around so I took the fall. I hadn’t even realized it but there was pleasurable tingles erupting all over my body so I knew that it could only be one girl. I looked up at the beautiful girl lying on my chest to see that she had a surprised look on her face. Celeste looked down at me and her eyes widened even more. “What are you doing?” She hissed. I grinned up at her and attempted to shrug my shoulders. “If I hadn’t of grabbed you I would have crashed into you and crushed you.” I answered casually. Celeste rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath that I didn’t quit catch before looking back to me. “We’ll I’m okay so you can let me up now.” She said as she started to push away from my chest. My wolf didn’t like that idea because him and I were both enjoying this way to much. A low growl escaped my lips, surprising both me and Celeste. She looked down at me and I could see that her eyes had flecks of emerald green in them and I suspected that those were her wolfs. Celeste gulped and tore her eyes away from mine. “Are you going to let me up?” She asked quietly. I didn’t answer I simply continued to stare at her luscious pink lips. After realizing that I wasn’t going to respond she looked back to me and the second that she did I slowly started moving my lips closer to hers. Her breathing hitched but she wasn’t moving away. Our lips were centimeters away from each other and just when I thought she was going to pull away she pressed her lips to mine. Sparks erupted where our lips touched and I couldn’t help but to let out a low growl. Her lips were soft, like rose petals, and the way that they fit against mine was like they were made for me and me only. I could only imagine what we looked like at the moment, Celeste laying on top of me and kissing on the gym floor but I couldn’t care less at the moment. I was kissing my mate and that’s all that mattered. But of course all good things have to come to an end. There was suddenly a loud whistle followed by a yelling voice. “Jackson! Hawke! Break it up! This is gym class!” Coach Thomas yelled. Celeste and I were snapped out of our hazes and Celeste was up and off of me faster then you could say ‘mate‘. I watched as she scurried away, cheeks on fire, towards Lela and a group of girls who were all wide eyed and opened mouthed. I sighed in frustration, a perfect moment ruined. *Celeste’s POV I want to die. That’s all that was running through my head as I walked over to Lela and my other friends. What happened with Xander just mere seconds ago was..was…amazing, incredible, like nothing I had ever felt before. But it was so embarrassing. The entire class, from both his pack and mine, were watching and saw everything that happened. I mean everybody in both packs has to know that were mates by now, if they don’t then they must be stupid. Chapter 34  “Okay good, we can go sit with Celeste and her friends.” She said as she started walking towards the table that my beautiful mate sat at. Just hearing her name had a funny feeling erupting in my chest but I would never admit that to anybody. I sighed and followed Perrie over to the table. When we neared them I heard that Seth and Lela were having a conversation while Celeste was picking at her untouched food. As soon as the three of them heard us sit down there heads snapped towards us and they fell silent. “Hey Celeste. Oh I hope you don’t mind Xander and I sitting at your table.” Perrie said cheerfully as she looked towards Celeste. “Oh no it’s fine, I mean you are my cousin right?” Celeste said with an obviously fake smile plastered on her face. I know that Celeste doest like Perrie and its mainly my fault, I do feel bad about that but there’s really nothing I can do about it. Perrie turned towards Seth and Lela and introduced herself. “I don’t think we’ve met before, I’m Perrie.” She said. I wasn’t interested in there conversation anymore so I turned all of my attention towards Celeste. She was currently listening to Perries conversation with her friends and totally unaware that I was staring at her. Everything about this girl is amazing and I can’t help but to stare when I’m around her. I loved the way that her dark black hair fell in loose curls framing her beautiful face and those gorgeous blue eyes of hers, I could get lost in. I know that’s its not fair for me to sit here and think about how amazing she is when I’ve done nothing except hurt her but there’s a reason that I do what I do. I don’t flaunt those girls around in front of her to hurt her and I most definitely didn’t practically reject her to hurt her, even though that’s all I accomplished by it, I do it to protect her. I do it to keep her safe, because if she was with me she wouldn’t be safe. There would be so many dangers to her and I just can’t risk that. I suddenly felt a pair of eyes on me and when I looked to my right I saw that Celeste was peeking at me from behind her hair. We made eye contact and she immediately snapped her eyes away from me. A small smile found its way to my lips and it was soon replaced by a cocky smirk when I noticed that she was the color of a tomato. I low chuckle escaped my lips because of how absolutely adorable she is. Deciding to be a bastard I placed a large hand on her upper thigh. A loud squeal left her lips and the other three people at the table looked at her strangely. “You okay Celeste? Lela asked. Celeste quickly nodded her head in return. Lela gave Celeste a suspicious look before turning to me and glaring at me. I smirked back and she rolled her eyes, turning away. I knew that Celeste felt the sparks that were running from where my hand was touching her thigh but she, to my disappointment, removed my hand. I mentally snorted before placing my hand back onto her thigh. She let out a quiet sigh before again removing it. A small smirk made its way onto my face at my new found game and I put my hand back. Much to my entertainment this is how the rest of lunch went by and when the bell rang Celeste was the first one out of her seat. I watched in amusement as she practically sprinted towards the door. We have gym together next and health after that so I don’t know how she thinks she’s going to be avoiding me. I slowly walked towards the men’s changing room and when I reached it I strolled in like I owned the place. Our school is an all werewolf school so most of the guys in the class are from my pack, but a few are from Celestes. I walked towards my assigned locker and saw my best friend, Cole, standing next to it. “Hey man,” I said as I neared him. His head turned towards me and he gave me a grin. “Hey dude. I saw who you were sitting with at lunch.” He said wiggling his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes at his immature–ness and started to change into my gym clothes, “Shut up man.” I grumbled as I pulled my left shoe on. Besides my parents Cole is the only one who knows that Celeste is my mate, and he’s the only one that knows the real reason as to why I haven’t accepted her as my mate. Cole and I walked side by side into the gym to see that most of the class was already there. Our gym teacher blowed the whistle and we all got to doing our warm ups, they aren’t that bad but there way more then a human gym teacher would assign for warm ups. Once we finished warm ups we all gathered in a circle around the teacher and waited for instruction. 11:31 

Chapter 32 I stood in the water for about five minutes before getting to work washing my hair and my body. About ten minutes later I sadly turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. I shivered as the cold air hit my skin and quickly grabbed a towel, wrapping it around myself. I walked quickly into my bedroom and towards my closet. I didn’t really take any time deciding my outfit, I just grabbed the fist thing I touched. I put on my undergarments and them pulled on the pair of white shorts I had grabbed. They reached about mid thigh and they had a roll on the end. I matched it with a light sleeveless turquoise shirt that fell off my shoulder on one side. I then slipped on my white gladiator sandals. Walking to my bathroom I pulled my blow dryer out and got to work on my hair. My hair, being extremely long, took forever to dry but when it was I put my midnight black hair into long loose ringlets that fell down my back. I then did makeup. I applied the usual, light eyeliner and a swipe of mascara. I looked at myself in the mirror and felt satisfied. I grabbed my phone and my bag and headed out of my room. Half way down the stairs I remembered that Seth and Lela couldn’t come get me today so I had to get a ride from my mom. I quietly made my way to the kitchen where I knew my mom would be. Just as I had guessed my mom and dad were both in the kitchen but so were my aunt and cousin. I kept my head down, not making eye contact with my aunt or cousin and made my way to my mom. “Hey mom, Seth and Lela can’t come get me today so will you give me a ride?” I questioned. She had opened her mouth to respond when I heard another voice from behind me. “I can give you a ride. You know save gas and all.” Perrie said happily. I slowly turned around to see Perrie smiling at me. “Oh that’s a great idea!” My mom said. I slowly nodded my head. “Ya that would be cool.” I said quietly. I then walked over to the counter to make myself some toast. Halfway through my toast I heard somebody come up next to me. “Listen Celeste, I’m sorry about last night. I didn’t know and I shouldn’t have pushed at you.” Aunt Adrianna said. I looked to her and gave her a small smile. “It’s okay, you didn’t know.” I replied. She smiled thankfully at me before waking away. I finished off my toast and looked to Perrie. “Keady?” She asked. I nodded my head and then turned to my parents. “I love you guys, see you after school.” I said. “Love you to!” They answered at the same time. I followed Perrie outside and go into her black Volvo. She pulled out of the driveway and I took the time to look her over. She was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and a white lace shirt with a blue tank top underneath. Perries naturally blonde hair was perfectly straightened and she had on light eye shadow and eye liner along with mascara. All in all she looked beautiful and I could see why Xander liked her. That small thought pained me to think but it was the truth. We pulled into the school parking lot about five minutes later and I jumped out of the car. I turned to see that Perrie had also gotten out. “Thanks for the ride.” I said as we both walked towards the school. “Ya it was no problem. She said with a smile. Suddenly I felt another person join us and by his scent that was making my wolf go wild I new of was Xander. “Hey Perrie.” He said as he put an arm around her waist. She smiled brightly up at Xander and scooted closer to him. “Hey Xander!” She exclaimed happily, Xander flashed her a smile before his eyes traveled to me. I saw an emotion flash in his eyes but I could t tell what it was because it was gone so fast. “Oh! This is my cousin Celeste.” Perrie said. I resisted the urge to role my eyes. “Ya we’ve already met countless times.” I told Perrie not breaking eye contact with Xander. “Wait she’s your cousin?” Xander asked. His eyes were still glued to mine but I couldn’t tell if he was asking me the question or not. “Ya! I just found out yesterday to.” Perrie exclaimed. This time I did roll my eyes and I saw Xander smirk largely. “That’s interesting. It seems like you to come from a family of very beautiful women.” He stated with that smirk. I glared at him and felt jealousy burn inside me when he said that Perrie was beautiful 11:30  Chapter 32 “Why Thank you!” Perrie said happily before leaning up and kissing Xander right on the cheek. I had to hold in a growl and to keep myself from doing anything stupid I simply turned around and started to walk away. “Where are you going?” Perrie called from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder to see her giving me a confused look. 11:30

Chapter 33  “I have to go, sorry.” I answered turning around but not before I saw Xander smirk at me again. It was like he enjoyed hurting me. *Celeste’s POV I grumpily picked at my food as I sat at the lunch table with Lela and Seth. They were lost in there own conversation about who knows what, but I couldn’t be bothered to listen. The whole day all I have been hearing about is how ‘perfect‘ Perrie is, and its really starting to get on my nerves. I mean I understand that she’s the shiny new toy but can’t people have some respect for them selfs and not talk about her like she’s some goddess. I said before that it was hard for me to not like her but its slowly becoming easier. Suddenly I heard two people sit down at our table, looking up to see my two least favorite people, Xander and Perrie. My eyes widened and I noticed that bela and Seth’s conversation had stopped. Perrie, obviously oblivious to the fact that an awkward silence had settled at the table, immediately started up a conversation. “Hey Celeste. Oh I hope you don’t mind Xander and I sitting at your table.” She said happily. I put on a fake smile and waved my hand at her. “Oh no it’s fine, I mean you are my cousin right?” I joked towards the end. Perrie laughed slightly before turning towards my friends. “I don’t think we have met before, I’m Perrie.” She said as she looked at them. Seth currently had his arm tightly wrapped around Lela and she was leaning into him, making it obvious that they are mates. They both gave Perrie a smile before Lela spoke up. “I’m Lela and this is Seth.” She said motioning towards Seth. Perrie nodded before asking another question. “Oh! Are you guys mates?” She asked excitedly. They both smiled and nodded there heads. “That’s so cute.” Perrie said with a genuine smile. It was strange that Perrie was sitting with us but even stranger that Xander was. He has a tight bit group of friends, friends all from his pack, and he always stays with them. So at the moment it’s feeling pretty weird seeing him over here. I knew the reason that he was though is because of Perrie. The tables in our cafeteria are round and have a single round bench going all the way around the table so Seth and Lela were seating next to each other with Perrie next to Lela, Xander next to Perrie and me in between Seth and Xander. I didn’t feel the least bit comfortable sitting next to Xander and I could feel the hear radiating off of him. I slightly shifted before stealing a glance at Xander to see that he was already staring at me. I quickly snapped my head back but that didn’t stop the blush from rising on my cheeks. I felt more then heard a deep chuckle come from Xander, this of course only made me blush harder. Seth, Lela and Perrie were all having a conversation about something that I didn’t quit know, leaving Xander and I in silence. I was just about to join there conversation when I felt a large hand on the upper part of my thigh. A loud, surprised squeal left my lips and everybody at the table gave me strange looks… “You okay Celeste?” Lela asked giving me a look. I nodded my head because I didn’t exactly trust my voice at the moment. She gave me a suspicious look before returning to the conversation. Pleasurable tingles were coming from the place where Xander’s hand was placed on my thigh and my wolf was purring inside of me. I slowly turned my head towards Xander to see that he had a very large cocky smile on his face. I gave him a very evil glare and when he saw it his smirk only turned into a smile. Seeing his dimples smile made my heart beat faster and I was almost positive that he could hear it. A gently grabbed his hand and took it off of my thigh, placing it on the bench next to him, only for him to put it right back where it was at. I sighed and tried to remove it again but it didn’t work. That’s how the rest of my lunch went by, Xander’s hand on my thigh and me trying to remove with no luck Xander’s POV Ilet or an annoyed sigh as I followed Perrie into the cafeteria. She’s starting to get in my nerves because all she ever does is talk, talk, talk. The only reason that I started talking to her is because she was new and looked like she’d fit into our group well, but it turns out she’s not even joining my pack.
