He simply couldn’t accept this cruel reality. The woman who once claimed that she loved him deeply had abandoned him on
their wedding day, leaving without a trace.
What infuriated him even more was that not only did she leave, but she had also given him away to someone else. Thinking
of this, Bruno scoffed at himself.
“This is absurd! Did she ever ask for my opinion before making these decisions?”
As he was losing himself in his painful thoughts, he suddenly caught sight of a phone left beside the easel.
It was an old phone I had left behind.
When he saw it, Bruno grabbed it in desperation. He quickly entered his birthday when it asked for a passcode. Miraculously, the phone unlocked the next moment.
When the screen lit up, a flash of relief appeared in Bruno’s eyes.
“Thank goodness she didn’t change the password. So maybe she’s just playing hard to get?” he muttered to himself.

What Bruno didn’t know was that I had already stopped using that phone long ago after, he saw the messages and
photos on the phone.
At this moment, Raine happened to return.
Bang!
The phone flew straight at Raine’s forehead. She cried in pain, but she didn’t even have the time to check her injury when she
saw the furious Bruno right in front of her.
“Raine, look what you’ve done! Didn’t you know Aelia has a heart condition? And yet, you still told her everything about us! And now? She didn’t even show up to our wedding because she was so jealous! Are you happy now?”
As he spoke, Bruno slapped Raine hard across the face.
“Get out!” Bruno roared, glaring coldly at her.
Raine had never experienced such coldness from him. Before, she was always the one being sweet–talked.
It was all because of Aelia! Everything was her fault!
Raine covered her face, hiding the hatred growing in her eyes.
Bruno thought she was crying again, and rubbed his forehead irritably. “Go home and think about what you’ve done. Do I
really need to teach you what you should and shouldn’t do?”
Still, Raine didn’t leave. She just repeated what she had said yesterday. “We got everything we wanted! Why do you still want to marry her? Do you love her?”
Raine looked up, tears welling at the corners of her eyes as she waited for an answer.
Seeing her delicate appearance, Bruno’s heart softened. “You’re like family to me, but Aelia is different. She only has me.”
Raine took a deep breath and hugged Bruno. No matter how badly he treated her, all she could do was turn her hatred onto
someone else. She continued playing the role of the empathetic one.
“If you’re upset, just cry it out. She’s gone, but you still have me.
