Chapter 92 Your Home  Bella was feeling really frustrated, and she couldn’t figure out how to deal with it. She didn’t want to see Dominic at all. She asked Lia to drive her in her old, beat–up car. If she had used the fancy car Dominic gave her, it would have felt like giving in. Bella didn’t care about winning an argument with Dominic; she just wanted to avoid him. Lia had trouble starting her old car, but she finally managed to get it going. “You really think this old thing can outrun his car? It’s like comparing a cheetah to a stray dog. Actually, this car is more like a bunny.”  Bella didn’t say anything, just waved for Lia to keep going. A mile down the road, Dominic’s car pulled up and blocked them. Lia was scared and anxious. “What if we had crashed into him? Who would be responsible?” Bella, frustrated, replied, “It would be his fault. If we had crashed, he’d have to pay for the damage. He’s got plenty of money.” Lia went quiet.  The two cars sat there, neither moving. After ten minutes, Lia, tired and hungry, yawned and said, “What’s he waiting for? I’m beat. You should go talk to him and tell him off. I’ve got your back!” Bella knew sitting there wasn’t going to help, so she called Dominic. Dominic saw her through his windshield and answered the phone, “Why aren’t you coming home?” Bella replied, “That’s your home.” Dominic was quiet for a moment, then said coldly, “Do whatever you want.” He hung up and drove away, disappearing down the road. Lia was confused. “What happened? What’s going on with you two?” Bella, feeling drained, said, “It’s nothing. Let’s go back. I might stay at your place for a while.” The next morning, Bella woke up in Lia’s apartment and felt a bit sad because everything was so unfamiliar. Dominic had always told her she had to come home every night, so even though she was close to Lia, she had never stayed there before. Lia had already gone to work and left Bella the spare keys and some food. Bella got up, opened the curtains, and checked her phone. There were no messages or missed calls. She thought about the car and high heels she had seen at the Miller manor the night before and felt uneasy. She put her phone aside and went to get ready. At the hospital, she saw Ian. They usually just nodded I to each other, but today, he looked like he wanted to say something. Bella tried to avoid him because she didn’t want to hear about Amber. She wasn’t ready for that yet. She walked into her office and sat down. Ian followed her in. Rubbing her temples, she said quietly, “I have a lot to do today–two surgeries later, and I need to get ready. Do you need something?”  Ian looked at her for a moment and said, “If you don’t want to hear what I have to say, I won’t tell you. But if you want to know anything, just ask.” Bella just hummed in response and thought there wasn’t much point in asking. Dominic had already brought someone else home. What was the use? After her surgeries, it was already 2:00 pm. Bella ate some bland takeout, which filled her stomach but didn’t sit well with her. Annoyed, she threw the half–eaten food in the trash. A nagging voice in her head told her to talk to Ian. She was curious about Dominic and Amber, and the urge to find out more was getting stronger.  

Chapter 91 Homeless  Bella stood by the entrance, not sure if she should go inside, until Sylvia noticed her. “Ms. Jones, why are you standing out here?” Bella, feeling anxious, quickly shook her head. “I just remembered something I needed to handle at the hospital. I’ll be on duty tonight, so I won’t be coming back. Can you tell Dominic for me? I have to leave now.”  Before Sylvia could say anything, Bella had already turned and walked away. When she got back to the hospital, a nurse looked surprised. “Dr. Jones, didn’t you already clock out? Are you volunteering for extra work? You’re really dedicated!” Bella couldn’t admit that she had nowhere else to go, so she forced a smile and said, “A patient mentioned they might come in late… I’m just waiting to see if they show up.” As the night went on, more and more people asked why she was still at the hospital. Even though they were just being friendly, it made her feel even more uncomfortable, like she didn’t belong anywhere.  Bella couldn’t face going home, and hanging around the hospital felt awkward, so she decided to drive to Lia’s place. Having a friend like Lia kept her from feeling completely alone.  Lia’s studio was slammed with a big project, and she was working late. With just a few people on her team, they were all exhausted from the workload. Seeing how tired Lia was, Bella didn’t want to bother her with her own problems. She just sat quietly, looking at the beautiful wooden carvings around the studio. Lia took a quick break to drink some water and vented to Bella, “I don’t know who ordered this huge project, but they picked the hardest carving style possible. “I’m not even thinking about the money anymore–it’s draining me! If it wasn’t for my studio’s reputation, I’d just use a machine to do it. My hands are a mess!” Bella felt for her. “Didn’t you meet the client when you signed the contract?” Lia shook her head. “No, I never met them. They sent an assistant who looked like bad news. If I’d met the client, I probably wouldn’t have taken the job. It’s the most expensive and complicated carving we’ve ever done, and it’s taken up all our time for the last three months.”  Bella tried to reassure her friend, “Don’t worry. I’m here to make sure you don’t overwork yourself. You just focus on your work, and I’ll handle everything else.” Lia chuckled, though she seemed half–annoyed, “Are you guarding me? Or did you just come here because you had another fight with Dominic?” Lia always seemed to know what was going on with Bella. She stayed quiet, which made Lia’s concern grow. “Did I guess right? What happened this time?” Bella shook her head. “It’s nothing. Just keep working. I’ll stay over at your place tonight.” Seeing Bella’s mood, Lia decided not to push further and went back to her tasks. By 11:00 pm, when the other workers had left and the studio was quiet, Lia wrapped up her work. “Let’s go. If Dominic’s being a pain, you’re welcome to stay with me.” Bella tried to laugh but couldn’t. “Stop joking. I’m so tired–let’s just go home and get some rest.‘ As Lia locked the door, she muttered something under her breath about Dominic, “I’m not joking. You know exactly what kind of person Dominic is. Even if you don’t say it, it’s written all over your face that he’s upset you again. I swear, I just want to…” Lia’s voice trailed off as she suddenly spotted a black Rolls–Royce parked outside. She froze and pressed herself against the door. “Oh my gosh! When did he get here?” Bella’s heart raced. It was definitely Dominic’s car. Why was he here? She had told Sylvia she wouldn’t be coming home that night.

Chapter 90 HETI Bella had been too drunk last night to remember anything, but now she was completely awake. Dominic’s touches were making her shiver with excitement. Even though she was conflicted inside, she couldn’t resist him. She was always serious and stubborn. He was the first person she ever liked, and no matter how many problems she faced, her feelings for him stayed the same. Seeing ham made her happy, and even though she tried to act like it didn’t matter, she could tool everyone but herself. As his kiss moved to other places, he cubbed her wrists and gently bit her inner arm. When he saw her dazed look, his deep eyes softened Then, the sound of his phone ringing broke the mood. Dominic looked annoyed. He didn’t want to pick up, but the phone kept ringing Bella said quietly, “You should answer the phone.. He picked up his phone, and his face changed when he saw who was calling Alter a moment, he went into the bathroom to take the call. 27 Belay in bed, trying to calm her racing heart. She had seen “Amber Yates” on his phone screen and figured someone with a name like that must be quite beautiful. When Bella got dressed and left, Demmie was stal on the phone. The rest of the night was quiet. The next moming. Bella found out he had left in the middle of the night and hadn’t come back. – She went through her usual soutine breakfast and then off to the hospital. When she saw Lin, she asked, “Do you know Amber Yates?” Jan looked surprised. “Amber Yates? She’s Dominic’s ex girlfriend. How do you know her?– Belin’s face went pale. “Oh, it’s nothing. I just saw her name on Dominic’s phone last night I need to po to work.” She quickly left, her mind full of worries. After being with Dominic for years, Bella had no idea he’d ever had a relationship before. She could guess that a man like him would never be short of female attention, but she had never seen him with anyone The orly time she was completely in the dark was during his three years abroad. The fact that call from his ex could make him leave her so quickly and stay out all night meant this ex must have been very important to him. Bella laughed at herself. Last night was their first real moment together, and she was starting to let her feelings take over, only to realize now that he might have just been playing After work, Bella came home and saw a new car in the garage–a pak Porsche with flashymodifications.  Inside the house, she found a pair of elegant high heeled shoes by the door, and the air smelled like an unfamiliar woman’s perfume. Chapter 89 Blushed At the red light, Domink’s car pulled up next to Bella on the lett. Just then, she heard Yvonne’s voice from the right “Ms. Jones!! Bella rolled down her window and saw Yvonne waving at her from the backseat, smiling. Bella couldn’t help but smile back Felix, who was driving, also looked at her and said, “What a coincidence..” As Bella was about to reply, the light turned green, and the cars around her started moving when she looked back, Dominic’s car had already disappeared into the traffic Feeling worried, Bella quickly said goodbye to Felix and sped up, trying to catch up with Dominic. But by the time she reached Miller Manor, Dominic’s car was already in the Bella walked into the living room but didn’t see Dominic. So she went to her room to charge her phone. When she turned it on, she saw missed calls from Dominic from two hours ago, right when she was out with Lia. She wondered why he had called her so suddenly. Sylvia came in with clean clothes and said, “You’re back from dinner with Mr. Miller? Why did you come home separately? Mr. Miller has been home for a while now.” Bella looked confused. “I didn’t have dinner with him..” Sylvia seemed puzzled. “Mr. Miller called earlier and said not to cook dinner because he was taking you out. Didn’t you go with him?” Bella realized then that Dominic hadn’t just seen her car at Lia’s studio by chance–he had been trying to find her. She also noticed she was wearing his pajamas, which had been pulled up above her chest, and her undergarment was out of place… She was completely confused. The empty spot next to her in bed still felt warm. What happened last night? Trying to sneak out without being seen, Hells left his room. Bot Sylvia appeared at the top of the stairs, as if she had been watching. “Ms. Jones, you’re awake? Mr. Miller saw you were still asleep at lunchtime, so he didn’t wake you. Do you want me to get you something to eat? Chapter 85 Not Easy Dominic rushed forward and grabbed Bella’s clothes, Inadvertently tearing them with a loud rip. As he pulled her hack, she slammed into him, and they both fell to the floor bella,shaken and confused, realized her clothes were ripped, and the cold night air made her lower half feel very cold. She was only wearing a long T–shirt that was now torn so much that her waist was almost exposed. “Are you crazy?” she yelled. Dominic sat up and grabbed the back of her neck. He made her look at him like he was holding a cat. His face showed both anger and a bit of fear Bella was confused by Dominic’s yelling. Her words were slurred from drinking, “1., I just had one of your bottles of wine. Was it that expensive?” Dominic was too angry to speak. He had seen her leaning over the edge, ready to jump, and talking about how life wasn’t worth it. And now she was asking about the wine? When he stayed silent, Bella remembered what had happened and realized she had almost tallen Still a bit tipsy, she said, “Why did you come up here and yell at me? I almost fell. You’re hunting me! Let go!” Dominic’s face was tense with anger. “Almost fell? You were trying to junap who gave you the right to die? You’re not afraid of dying, but you’re afraid of a little pain? Bella realized Dominic had misunderstood. He thought she wanted to die because of Simon, but she had just lost her balance because he scared her.  She tried to explain, but her tongue felt heavy, and her head was spinning from the alcohol. Without thinking, she tried to push him away, wanting to get free and feel better but then he suddenly kissed her, his lips claiming hers with intense passion. Bella felt like she couldn’t breathe, her hands telling uselessly by her sides as he held her close. She didn’t mind the kiss; in fact, she found some comfort in it. When his touch reached her sensitive spots, she let out a soft incan. Then Dominik suddenly pulled back, his passion tading as he returned to his usual calm self. He roughly threw his shirt over her, lifted her into his armis, and, seeing she was too drunk to stand, carried her downstairs. His face was still etched with lingering anger. Bella wrapped her ass around his neck, looking up at his strong low and lips, still feeling his kiss. In her drunken state, she said something she would never say when sober, “We’ve fucked so many times, but I’ve never been your girlfriend… You’re so irresponsible… You jerk!” Dominic stopped suddenly, “How about you try being my girlfriend then? Just so you know, it’s not easy.” He stared at her, and it was hard to tell if he was joking or serious. Bella leaned on him, slurring her words as she mumbled, “Why don’t we just try it? If it doesn’t work out, who cares? I’m sick of things being so unclear between us. Even if it’s just for a day, being your girlfriend might make me lead less crappy. Don’t you think so?”

Chapter 84 What More Do You Want from Me Having probably never encountered much darkness in her life, Bella couldn’t believe that Simon would go to such lengths. After all, Bella was his biological daughter. Even if he had abandoned her, they still shared the same blood. How could he be so cruel? When Simon first found her in the small town and saw the letters her mother had left behind, his regret and tears seemed genuine. If he could so easily fake heartbreak in that situation, then Simon was even more terrifying than she had imagined. With a glimmer of hope, she locked on Dominic’s door When he opened the door and saw her, his eyes darkened slightly. Her hands trembled as she held the documents, and her eyes were red and brimmed with tears. She asked him softly, her whole body trembling as if she might collapse, Leaning against the doorframe, Domine hesitated, then said, “Maybe I shouldn’t have told you” Bella’s tears finally fell, but she quickly wiped them away. “I understand,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “Thank you. I’m fine” with that, she turned and left, her steps faltering Dominic raised his hand, then lowered it. The adult world was cruel. There are certain things they couldn’t avoid facing. Simon’s mistake was showing up in Bella’s life with ulterior motives from the start. For some people, it was better never to appear at all. They should have remained s forever. bella returned to her room and repeatedly shaded the document. She was so familiar with it that she could almost recite it word for word.  in a fit of rage, she tore the photos her mother had left behind into shreds, ripping out any parts featuring Simon. Even after all that, she couldn’t calm down. As soon as she lay down, her mind was flooded with the terrible things Simon had done. At one point, she even wished viciously for Simon’s sick daughter to die, as if that would bring her peace. But the real culprit was Simon himself. Late at night, she took a bottle of wine and went to the cooltop terrace. The view was pleasant, and the peace was soothing. No matter how depressed she felt, no one could see her there Her vision blurred from the alcohol when her phone rang.  She picked up the call and saw it was from an unknown number. Assuming it was Simon using a new number, she answered but remained silent. She tossed her phone aside and leaned over the railing, gazing at the garden below, which lay silently asleep in the night. The many flowers in the garden still displayed vibrant colors under the moonlight, while she felt increasingly faded. At 25, she had achieved little, with her love life and personal life still in disarray. She laughed bitterly to herself, “What’s the point of living? It’s just a waste of oxygen.” Dominic’s sudden shout startled her, causing! her to slip and lose her balance, her body going over the railing

Chapter 83 Need Someone to Warm the Bed Bella’s heart pounded as she gazed intently at Dominic She had never looked at him with such boldness or seriousness. So, she was family to him, and he would protect her.
