Chapter 31  “Oh hey I gotta go, my mom wants me. I’ll talk to ya later.” She said hurriedly. “Okay, talk to you later.” I replied before hanging up the phone. I rolled off of my bed before grabbing my book bag and pulling out my binder, I had a lot of homework so better get started on it. A half hour and a few assignments later my mom called me down for dinner. I got up from my chair and jogged down the stairs. When I got into the living room I saw that my parents along with Adrianna and Perrie were already seated and waiting for me. I took a seat next to Perrie and looked at the table. My mom had prepared a delicious looking chicken meal. “Looks good mom.” I said happily as I grabbed a plate from the center of the table. My mom smiled at me before getting her dinner. I piled my plate up with a bit of everything before digging in. The three adults started a quiet conversation between the three of them and Perrie and I sat quietly by ourselves. “So Perrie, how did you like your first day at school?” My mom questioned kindly. Perrie raised her head and smiled largely at my mom. “Oh it was great, I’ve already got quit a few new friends.” She explained. I bitterly thought about how one of her new ‘friends‘ was my mate. “Celeste?” My mom asked. I snapped my head up and looked at her. Ya?” I asked. She had a questioningly look on her face and I got the feeling that I had–missed a question. I asked you of you had any classes with Perrie.” My mom repeated. I didn’t have any classes with Perrie because she’s a senior and I’m a sophomore. “No I don’t, but I think Seth does.” I responded. Mom nodded her head and continued. “Oh I see.” She replied. An awkward a silence settled over the table before Adrianna decided to speak up. “So Celeste, have you found your mate yet?” She asked interested. As soon as the words left her mouth my whole body tensed along with my parents. My wolf whined at the thought of our mate and I simply replied with shushing her. I looked up at aunt Adrianna to see that she was giving me a questioning look. I cleared my throat before looking down at my plate. “Yes I have found my mate.” I said quietly. My parents both sent me worried looks and I smiled reassuringly at them. I raided my head again and looked at Adrianna. She had a smile on her face. “Oh that’s great! Who’s the lucky young guy?” She asked kindly. I sighed and picked at my nails under the table. I hadn’t told anybody besides my friends and family about what happened with Xander and I definitely didn’t want Perrie to know. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. My parents obviously saw my uncomfortable situation and jumped in to help me. Um it’s kind of an uncomfortable subject to talk about.” Mom said quietly. Aunt Adrianna threw her a confused look before looking back to me. What do you mean? You said you found your mate.” She asked. I sighed and wiped my sweaty hands on my jeans. “I did.” I answered back. From the corner of my eye I could see Perrie looking at me questioningly. “We’ll then, go ahead and tell us about him.” She said cheerfully. I clenched my jaw together, I was starting to get frustrated with her because she obviously didn’t realize that I don’t want to talk about it. “He’s nothing realy “I began but never got to finish my sentence. “We’l he’s your mate so he has to be something” She interrupted me. I let out a small growl before blowing up on her. i dont want me shay! Ya my mate doesn’t want me, that’s all there is to it!” I exploded. The whole table fell silent and you could practically hear a ps drop. I glad balore pushing myself up from my chair “To” I sad to no one in particular before turning around and running to my bedroom. Once I got to my room I slammed the door behind me. before randing to my bed and betting the rears a fall, because the truth hurt. The truth was that my soul mate, the person that was made entirely for me, didn’t want me and there was nabung I could do about it. I don’t know how long I cried for but I cried until I tell into a dreamless sleep. The next morning I was awoken to the and of iny alarm clock I groaned and slanuned my fist down onto it. I laid in bed for a fin Chapter 31  savoring the feeling of my bed, before pulling myself up. I slowly walked towards my bathroom, I wasn’t exactly excited to see myself because I was sure I looked a mess, and sure enough when I looked in the mirror I saw a monster. My previously straightened hair was a rats nest and I had dried mascara lines on my face. My eyes were puffy and red from crying and I had slept in my school clothes. I sighed before running a brush through my hair and stripping out of my dirty clothes. I turned the shower on and waited a few seconds for it to heat up and once it was I stepped into it. My once tensed muscles immediately relaxed and I smiled happily as the warm water hit my body. Chapter 32

Chapter 30  “Thanks for the ride.” I yelled to Seth and Lela as I exited the car. They both smile at me before driving away. I walked up to my door before throwing it open and strutting inside. As soon as I entered I heard multiple voices coming from the family room so I quickly made my way there. When I entered the room I saw two strangers standing in the middle of our front room. One was Perrie and the other was a older woman who closely resembled her. My mom turned around and smiled at me. “Celeste I want you to meet your Aunt Adrianna and your cousin Perrie.” Damn. Celeste’s POV My mouth slightly hung open and a thousand thoughts were running through my head as I stared at the two people standing in front of me. I had always known that I had an aunt and I had also always known that my mom and her never got along. So that left the one big question in my head, what was she doing her? My mom cleared her throat and looked at me expectantly. I plastered on a fake smile and took a step towards aunt Adrianna. I stuck my hand out for her to shake but she ignored that and pulled me right in for a hug. I was startled at first before I cautiously put my arms around her and hugged her back “Oh my! You have grown so much since I last saw you! Look at you, all grown up!” She exclaimed as she pulled away from me. I honestly don’t remember ever meeting this woman in my life but I decided to go along with it. “Ha, ya.” I replied with a smile. I looked to see Perrie smiling at me happily and it made me want to scratch somebody. “It’s nice to see you again Perrie.” I said with a fake smile. Perrie smiled at me largely before nodding her head. “I had no idea that you were my cousin!” She exclaimed happily. My mom let out a light laugh and stood next to my dad. “How did you guys meet?” She asked. I sighed before answering. “We bumped into each other in the lunch room, that’s all.” I quickly replied. At the moment I wanted nothing more then to leave the room and try to forget about my newfound cousin. There was an uncomfortable silence that lingered in the air for a few seconds before my dad spoke up for the fist  time. “Celeste, your aunt Adrianna and cousin Perrie have decided to join our pack and they will be staying with us until they find a house to live in.” Dad stated with a tight smile on his face. My dad didn’t like aunt Adrianna one bit, I have never been able to figure out why but I knew he didn’t. I mentally groaned at the news before forcing a smile on my lips. That’s great!” I said with as much enthusiasm as I could. I could tell that my dad saw right threw my falseness and gave me a questioning look but I simply shook him off. They will be staying in the spare guest rooms so if you would show Perrie to hers that would be great.” My mom asked as her, my dad and aunt Adrianna walked out of the room. I closed my eyes for a second before putting on another fake smile. “I show you to your room.” I said as I turned towards Perrie. She smiled happily before following me up the stairs. We walked in silence until we reached the room she would be staying in. “We’ll this is it.” I said as I awkwardly twisted my hands behind my back. Perrie nodded her head and stepped towards the door. “Thanks for showing me where it was.” She said with a genuine smile. I nodded my head before turning around and walking down the hall to my bedroom. I opened the door and quickly entered the room, shutting the door behind me. I let out a frustrated sigh before throwing myself on my bed I can’t believe that my mated new toy just so happens to be my cousin. And the worst thing about it is that Perries really nice and I’m having a hard tone disliking her I was torn out of my frustrating thought by the buzzing of my phone. I reached 1 to my back pocket and pulled it out, lifting my head up so I could see The wrens It was an aming call from Leis so I answer it itello? I spoke quietly into the phone.  “Hey” Care Leia’s chargy core on the other line, I dightly chuckled at her enthusiasm before speaking. what’s up ↑ I questioned. Lela let out a sigh before continung. Chapter 30 “I just wanted to call and tell you that Seth and I can’t give you a ride to school tomorrow because were going to be running late.” She said apologetically. I sighed and ran a hand threw my hair. “It’s okay, I’ll just have my mom take me.” Was my simple reply. “Okay. Sorry about that again we just have some family stuff to take care of, nothing big.” She said. I suddenly heard her moms voice from downstairs. yelling at her.

Chapter 29 I didn’t feel like eating today, so I wasn’t going to. A few minutes later Seth and Lela returned to the table with food in there hands. Lela slid a sandwich across the table and looked at me expectantly, I shook my head and pushed it back to her. “Oh come on, you need to eat Celeste.” She whined as she sat down. I sighed before taking the sandwich and unwrapping it, I knew if I didn’t eat it they would both through a fit. I munched on the turkey sandwich and stared down at the table. I could feel Lela and Seth’s eyes staring intently at me but I refused to look up. “Are you alright?” Lela finally asked, breaking the silence a few moments later. Without looking up I nodded my head. Seth let out a deep sigh before grabbing my hands. “No your not Celeste, we know it and you can talk to us about it.” He said comfortingly. And he was right, I’m not okay, but I don’t feel the need to talk about it. I’m not that kind of person, I keep things bottled up inside of me, that is until I can’t take it anymore. “I appreciate the fact that you care about me, but I really don’t want to talk about it right now.” I said quietly. I looked up for a few seconds and saw that they both had defeated looks on there faces. I felt a tinge of guilt in the bottom of my stomach but I pushed it away. The lunch bell rung and the three of us silently stood up from our table and walked towards the lunch table. I had just dumped my lunch into the garbage and turned around when I ran right into somebody, successfully knocking me to the ground. I sat startled on the ground and let out a groan because my butt was in pain. “I’m so sorry!” I heard a voice come from above me. I looked up to see a girl that I had never seen before. She had bleach blonde hair, but it didn’t look died it looked natural, along with dark tanned skin and wide baby blue eyes. She was a beauty and she had to be the new girl that everybody was talking about, “It’s fine.” I said with a smile as I hauled myself up from the ground. The girl looked guilty so I gave her a kind smile. + “I’m Celeste.” I offered as I held my hand out for her to shake. Her eyes widened and recognition flashed in them before she covered it up and put a smile on her face. “Perrie.” She answered as she took my hand in hers. After a good shake I released her hand and took a step back. “Again, I’m really sorry about running into you.” She repeated with a sheepish smile. I had just opened my mouth to reply when a tall figure stepped up next to Perrie and put there arm around her. “Hey babe. What are you doing talking to her?” Xander asked with a smirk on his face. I immediately stiffened as soon as I heard his voice before slowly raising my head up to look at him. He had a cocky smirk on his face and he was intently staring down at me. “Oh nothing baby, I just accidentally ran into her.” Perrie answered. Xander nodded his head before swooping down and capturing her lips with his, and that’s when I realized that Perrie was the blonde that had been sitting on Xander’s lap. I sucked in a deep breath before rolling my eyes and stomping away from the ‘happy couple‘. I slightly turned my head back to see that Perrie was staring after me confused, I rolled my eyes again before turning away from the bitch. “Finally!” I sighed in relief as Seth, Lela and I exited the school. After the whole incident at lunch I had been in a horrible mood all day and the rest of school seemed to drag on. I followed the pair out to the car and climbed in. Seth started up the car and pulled out of the parking lot. “Hey Celeste who was that girl you were talking to at lunch?” Lela asked curiously. Just the thought of Perrie put me in a sour mood. I sighed and ran a hand threw my long black hair. “Her names Perrie, she’s new here.” I answered quietly. “Ooh! That’s the the girl that everybody has been talking about.” I nodded my head and she continued. “Do you know what pack she’s in?” She asked curiously “We’ll my parents haven’t said anything to me about it so shed probably in Xander’s, it would make sense because he was all over her at lunch today.” I said litterly Lela finched away from my harsh tone and it was then that I realized how much of my alpha voice I had put into that.  “I’m sorry Isla, I didn’t mean to use the voice. It just kinda happened cuz I’m not in the best of moods.” I said apologetically. She nodded her head before smiling happily at me. A few minutes later and we had pulled up to my house.  

“I’m done, so I’ll just take this into the kitchen.” I stated. Mom nodded her head before returning to her conversation with Emily. I walked out of the dinning room and into our kitchen, gently setting my bowl in the sink. I went to turn around and rammed right into a hard chest. I stumbled backwards but right before I fell a strong muscled arm wrapped around my waist. Sparks exploded everywhere our skin touched and I had to hold in a happy sigh. Xander slowly brought me up and positioned me on my feet. He was standing only inches away from me and I knew that if I was to look up I would be in the perfect position to kiss him. I slowly rose my head up, and just as I had thought his lips were inches from mine. I stared into his warm brown eyes and felt my breath catch in my throat. Xander slowly leaned towards me, his face inching closer to mine, and just as I thought he was about to kiss me he leaned around me and set his plate into the sink. Xander looked down at my flustered face before backing away from me. He started walking away from me and I let out a relieved sigh, but he stopped right before he exited the room. He turned around and stared right into my eyes, a cocky smirk making its way onto his face. Remember what I said last night, your mine and only mine.” Xander stated, and with that he walked out of the room leaving me with my thoughts. My crazy confusing thoughts about my crazy confusing mate. Celestes POV I sighed angrily as I stared at the board in front of me. The weekend had, like always, flew by and today was dreadfully Monday. I was currently sitting in my fourth period English class, staring up at the board and listening to the teacher ramble on about something I couldn’t care less about. Suddenly I felt something hit the back of my head, I quickly turned around in my seat and glared at the idiot sitting behind me. “What do you want Seth?” I asked quietly. Seth smirked at my angry face before becoming serious. “Have you seen the new girl?” He asked me just as quietly. I tilted my head to the side and frowned. “New girl?” I asked confused. Seth nodded his head quickly. I hadn’t heard anything about a new girl at school so the news was a bit surprising. “No, I haven’t seen her. Why? A there something weird about her or anything?” I whispered quietly, Seth bit his lower lip before slowly shaking his head. “There’s nothing weird about her, but all of the guys are all over her.” He said, not meeting my eyes. I frowned slightly before replying. “What do you mean?” I was confused now and he was obviously going to have to spell it out for me. Seth sighed before running a hand threw his hair. “What I mean is, she’s dressed like a slut and all of the guys are all over her, including your mate.” He said the last part very quietly so that no prying ears would hear. I nodded my head before turning around in my seat. It hurt to know that Xander was all over her, I mean after the scene he pulled at the club I actually thought that maybe he wanted me, but I guess I was wrong. The bell suddenly rung, making me jump slightly in my chair. I quickly gathered all of my things and shoved them into my bag. Jumping up from my seat I slowly walked out of the classroom. Seth and Lela were waiting for me outside the classroom door and by the look on Lela’s face I knew that she had heard the news. “Lets go.” I said, plastering a fake smile onto my face but Seth and Lela, being my best friends, saw right threw it. The three of us all quickly walked towards the lunchroom. I really didn’t want to go into there, because I knew that I would see Xander and that slut, but I had to show him that I was stronger then he thought I was. We entered the lunchroom and I couldn’t help but to scan my eyes around the room, looking for him. And I immediately found him. Xander was seated at his usual table with all of his usual friends but one thing was different, he had a girl sat right on his lap and he was steadily making out with her. I’m not going to lie and say that it didn’t hurt my heart to see that but it didn’t hurt as much because I had honestly gotten used to it. I was just about to turn away when Xander brought his lips away from the girls and looked right up at me. Our eyes connected and the last thing I wanted to do was look away. I looked into lus eyes deeply and for a moment, only a moment. I saw pain in Xander’s eyes but he quickly covered it up lofore looking away from me and going back to his slut. I frowned deeply before turning back to Seth and Lela. They both had worried looks on there faces but I simply shook my head before walking over to our table. Chapter 29

Chapter 27 Chapter 27 I then brushed my teeth and washed my face so it was clear of any makeup. I was wearing a pair of short shorts and a tank top so I, being the lazy person that I am, decided not to change out of it. I put on my fuzzy pink slippers and headed down stairs. Before I entered the kitchen I heard multiple voices and one of them being somebody I hated very much, Xander. I walked into the kitchen and everybody stopped talking to look at me. My parents along with Xander’s and of course himself were seated at the table. I raised my eyebrows and cleared my throat. Slowly the adults went back to there conversation but Xander stared at me. It wasn’t weird that they were here because every once in a while my parents invite them over for breakfast and same with them. I walked over to the stove and grabbed a plate filling it with the delicious food my mom had cooked. I could feel Xander’s stare burning holes into my back the entire time and it was making me a bit uncomfortable. I turned around and scanned my eyes over the table, noticing that the only available seat was next to Xander. I silently groaned before slowly walking towards the table and taking my seat. It was silent in the room and there was a somewhat tense atmosphere. After a few seconds of the unbearable silence my mom started up a conversation. “So Xander, how have you been recently?” She asked kindly. Xander tore his eyes from me and focused his eyes on my mom. “I’ve been really good. How bout you?” He replied with a smile that, I’m not going to lie, made my heart beat faster. Suddenly I heard a loud grunt come from across the table, and with questioning eyes I looked up at my father. “Ya I bet you have been having a good time while my baby girl has been heart broken.” My dad muttered under his breath but everybody at the table heard him. From the corner of my eye I saw Xander clench his jaw and his fists balled up. “Look I think I should just put this out there right now, I regret nothing. I was just doing what I felt was right.” He said harshly. I was a bit confused now because just last night he had said that I was his and only his. Suddenly my dad slammed his fists down onto the table startling everybody. “Your nothing but a piece of scum, and its a shame that my daughter got stuck with you as a mate.” Dad spit out. There were gasps heard from the other three people at the table but I was to surprised to say anything. I looked over to Xander and saw that his eyes had turned black and a loud snarl came out of his mouth. My dad stood up also and it looked like the two were about to fight. “You two stop it RIGHT NOW!” Alpha Reece yelled. Xander immediately sat down in his chair and bowed his head but it did nothing to my father. My mom quietly stood up and put a hand onto my dads shoulder. “Honey, calm down.” She spoke quietly. Dad instantly relaxed and took a seat. I couldn’t bring myself to make eye contact with anybody at the table and I was assuming that nobody else could either. “I’m sorry for my foolish behavior, I was out of line.” Dad said truthfully. Reece nodded his head and we all continued to eat our breakfast. Again silence fell over the table and this time nobody took it upon themselves to break it, that is until my dad opened his mouth again. “What the hell is on your neck Celeste?” Dad asked in a hard tone. My eyes widened and my hand flew to my neck. I winced when I touched because the skin was still sore. I raked my mind for an excuse and said the first thing I could think of. “It’s a…bruise.” I said quietly. My dad let out a snort and rolled his eyes. neck “Celeste I’m not stupid, I know a hickey when I see one. Now who gave it to you?” He demanded. I opened my mouth to respond but quickly closed it when I actually thought about it, I can’t just tell them Xander gave it to me. My eyes flickered over to Xander and I noticed that he was tense. Apparently my dad saw my eyes flicker to Xander because his head snapped in his direction. “Was it Xander?” He asked. My silence answered it all though. “Ridiculous.” He muttered as he glared at my mate. Xander had just opened his mouth to reply when my mom jumped in. “Alright that’s enough. Honey how about you and Reece go up into your study and discuss what he came over here for?” She asked, directing her question at my dad. Dad stiffly nodded lús head and him and Reece got up, walking out of the room. “Thank goodness.” Mam muttered as she let out a sigh. Emily, Xander’s mom, let out a quiet giggle nodding her head. I slightly turned my head so that I could see Xander only to notice that he was already staring at me. I snapped my head back before grabbing my plate and standing up.

Chapter 26 It was like Xander could feel my gaze on him because he looked up. When he caught me staring at him he smirked before retiring to the girl. I was about to get up and leave until a brilliant plan formed in my head. I smirked evilly and roamed my eyes over the crowd. When I spotted my target I strutted towards him sexily. Ty was standing in a group with his friends and as soon as they saw me walking towards them they started wolf whistling. “Hey sexy.” Ty smirked as I approached them. It was obvious that he was into me and that made what I was about to do then times more fun. I walked up real close to him and placed a hand on his chest. “Hey baby. Do you want to have a little fun?” I purred. I watched as he gulped harshly and his friends snickered in the background. Ty was in Xander’s pack and a senior so this was a little risky. “What exactly did you have in mind baby?” He asked as he raised his eyebrows suggestively. Ty was a really good looking guy, with blonde hair, blue eyes and a strong build, but he just wasn’t my type. I bit my lip and roamed my eyes up and down his body. “Dancing of course.” I said and watched as his face slightly fell. I smirked at him and pressed myself into him. “Unless you don’t want to?” I asked as I batted my eyelashes innocently. Ty immediately shook his head and I smiled at him. I grabbed his large arm and led him towards the dance floor, swaying my hips as I went. I could see that Xander was in the same spot as before so I walked over there. I immediately started swaying my hips to the beat and moving to the music. Ty got behind me so I swayed my backside against his front. He let out a groan and thats what got Xander’s attention. Xander’s head snapped towards us and and soon as he saw us grinding against each other his eyes flashed black. I watched as he tensed and with a smirk I continued to dance with Ty. This went on for about five minutes and I was beginning to think that it wasn’t going to work when I felt Ty’s lips on my neck. I smirked happily and tangled my fingers in his hair. In all honestly though I didn’t want Ty anywhere near me. Ty was happily sucking on my neck when suddenly I was torn away from him and by the sparks that I felt I knew it was Xander. “What the hell?!” He asked angrily. Ty’s eyes were wide and he was looking at me confused. Xander had a hold of my left arm and my wolf was purring because of how close we were. “What’s wrong man?” Ty asked Xander calmly. Xander glared evilly at Ty and that caused him to step back. “Stay away from her, she’s mine!” He growled angrily. Ty’s eyes widened and he looked to me. I could tell that he knew we were mates and he gave me a questioning look. “Im sorry man, I didn’t know that you guys were mates.” Ty said holding up his hands. Xander growled and it looked like he was about to snap so I put my hands on his chest and gently caressed him, while I stared up at him. He looked down at me and his eyes softened, a few seconds later he stopped shaking. “Just stay away from her.” Xander repeated and with that Ty walked away. Xander then turned towards me and I gulped because there was anger in his eyes. He slowly leaned in towards me and I felt my breath hitch. He brought his lips down to my neck and hungrily started to nip and suck. I gasped at the sensation and quickly brought my hands up to his hair. Xander continued to suck for a few more seconds before he pulled away and looked down at my neck. A big smirk made its way onto his face before he looked down at me. “You are mine Celeste and don’t you forget that.” Xander said with one last smirk before walking away. I stared at his back completely confused, what does he mean I’m his? He practically rejected me and now he’s saying I’m his? Oh hell no! I raised my hand up to my neck and cringed when I touched the part Xander had been sucking on. My eyes widened when I realized what it was. I ran over to the mirror hanging on the wall and nearly screamed wham I saw the large red/purple hickey that was on my neck. He had practically marked me as his. My scumbag mate suddenly wants me back, just great. “Celeste’s POV “Celeste it’s time to get up! My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I looked over to the clock that sat on my nightstand and groaned. It was only ten and that’s way to early to wake up on a Saturday. I tiredly drug myself out of my bed and into the bathroom. I looked a mess. When I got home from the party last night I was really tipsy and I only changed into a pair of pajamas before I passed out on my bed. My hair was a mess so I started with that, I brushed threw it and then pulled in into a messy bun on the top of my head.  

“I’m so sorry Pais.” Lela said as soon as I finished telling her. I nodded my head and slowly sat up.  “If you don’t want to go to the party anymore I won’t force you.” She said quietly. I shook my head before standing up.  “No I want to go.” I assured her. Lela smiled happily and jumped up clapping her hands.  “Ok let’s get you ready then!” She cheered. I rolled my eyes but allowed her to drag me into my bathroom. Lela immediately went to work getting me ‘beautified Lela made me sit in a chair as she plucked and waxed, primed and prepped and ever other form of torture you could imagine and by the time she was done I was practically jumping for joy.  “Okay are you ready to look?” Lela asked me after she had slipped the very tight dress onto my body. I had stupidly agreed to let her do everything without me seeing so I had no clue what I looked like or what I was wearing at the moment.  “Yes.” I said trying to hold in a groan. Lela slowly led me over to the full length mirror that was on my wall and removed her hands. As soon as I saw my reflection I gasped. I’m not trying to be vain but I looked good, My waist length, black hair was scrunched up sexily because Lela had put mouse in it and looked like I had just had a steamy make out session. Lela had put a dark line of eyeliner on my bottom lids and she had just a touch of sparkly silver eyeliner on my lids, along with a bit of mascara. My lips were covered in red lipstick and finished off with a gloss.  Lela had put me in a rather revealing dress but I couldn’t bring myself to care. The dress was entirely black and it barely covered my butt. It was strapless and it had to cuts on each side on my thighs so it showed off some skin. It had cuts going down my back that stopped right above my butt and it hugged me like a glove, showing off all of my curves. On my feet I wore a pair of toe less black stilettos. All in all I looked extremely sexy.  “Wow,” I said quietly and I saw Lela smirk in the mirror. I rolled my eyes and turned around so I could examine her, she already been ready she came over. She was wearing a light purple dress that hugged her and reached right above her knees. She had left her crazy red hair down- natural so it was all over the place. We makeup was simple and she looked great.  And    “Seth’s here, you ready to go?” Lela asked. I took one last glimpse in the mirror before nodding my head and following her out of my room. I knew that my parents, especially my dad, wouldn’t approve of what I was wearing so I tried to get out quickly but of course that didn’t work.  “Celeste? Where are you going?” I heard my moms voice from behind me. I slowly turned around and watched as she took in what I was wearing. She frowned but didn’t comment. I was about to reply until I heard my dads footsteps behind her, my eyes widened and I started to freak out. My dad entered the room and as soon as he saw me his eyes widened and he clenched his fists.  “You are not leaving the house looking like that. Go upstairs and change right now.” My dad demanded but I wasn’t about ready to listen. I shook my head angrily.  “There’s nothing wrong with what I’m wearing.” I said firmly. Dads eyes flashed and I gulped nervously.  “Yes there is.” He said angrily. I narrowed my eyes at him and clenched my teeth.  “No there’s not!” I said angrily. My mom put a hand on dads shoulder but he didn’t acknowledge her.  “You look like a slut!” He burst. I felt a bit of pain in my heart but I pushed it away. I gave him a determined look and stepped forward.  “I don’t care it’s my choice and this is what I want to wear.” I said sternly. My dad let out a frustrated sigh before throwing his hands up in the air. “Fine! Whatever!” He finally gave in. I smirked and walked towards him. I wrapped my arms around him and he hugged me back.  “Just be careful baby girl.” He said in my ear as he was hugging me. I nodded my head and hugged my mom when he released me. I waved to my parents and then walked back to Lela who was waiting by the door. She smirked at me and I smiled back at her. We walked outside with are arms interlinked and as soon as we entered the car Seth groaned.  “Oh boy! I’m going to have to beat the boys off of you with a bat!” He dramatically said. I rolled my eyes at him and crossed my legs at my ankles. As we drove to the party I felt my nerves rising. I knew for a fact that Xander was going to be there and I was actually really scared to see him dressed like this. I had zoned out so again Lela had to snap her fingers in my face when we arrived.  I nervously got out of the car and looked up at the big house. I could hear the music blasting even from outside and there were already people passed out on the lawn. Lela and Seth walked over to me and together we walked up to the house. Werewolves have really good hearing so it hurt my ears once we walked into the house because the music was five times louder/inside.  I scanned my eyes around the scene in front of me and cringed. The large living room had been made into a dance floor and there was at least a hundred people dancing and grinding against each other. Many people were spread out in the room swapping spit with each other, and I nearly fell down because a very drunk person stumbled into me but thankfully Seth caught my arm. I rolled my eyes and walked towards what I assumed was  the kitchen.  It was even worse in the kitchen, there was alcohol littering the counters and drunkin people stumbling all over the place. Seth and Lela walked in d went straight for the bottle of front of me and towards the counter that the drinks were on. Seth tried to hand me a beer but pushed it aw vodka that was sitting on the counter.  “Wow calm down there Pais, we all know how you act when you get drunk.” Seth said as he tried to take the bottle away from me. I narrowed my eyes at him and pulled the bottle closer to me.  “I’ll be fine.” I replied happily. I popped the lid off of the bottle and took a long swig of it, cringing as it stung my throat going down. Lela raised her eyebrows at me but I shrugged her off. I scanned my eyes around the room and nearly stopped breathing when my eyes connected with a certain somebody’s. Xander was standing on the opposite side of the large kitchen and his eyes were fixed on me.  I watched as his eyes roamed up and down my body and I couldn’t help but to smirk. His eyes turned a shade darker and I could see the lust in them. He had just started walking towards me when a blonde girl stepped in front of him and placed a hand on his chest. She said something to him and batted her eyelashes afterwards, seeing her hand on his chest pissed me off and I wanted to hurt her.  Xander smiled cockily down at the slutty girl before looking up and smirking at me. He led her over to the dance floor and they immediately started grinding on each other. I gritted my teeth and looked away from the two. I took a big gulp of the vodka before taking a seat on a stool Seth and Lela seemed to have disappeared but I shrugged it off. I looked hack over to Xander and nearly cried when I did. Him and the shunty blonde were in a heavy make out session and he had both of his hands firmly planted on her butt. 

“And maybe you’ll be able to tell us what happened that made Xander say the things he did.” Reed threw in. I tensed at his words. I immediately tell anger flood into me because the way he said it, he made it sound like I did something to make Xander practically reject me. I angrily stood up from any i seat and glared at Reed.  “Nothing happened! Absolutely nothing happened! Your making it sound like I did something to make Xander practically reject me, but let me tell you something, I didn’t! Your son is just a fucking bastard who doesn’t know how to keep his pants on and it’s really disappointing that I was the girl who got stuck with him as a mate!” I yelled. My breathing was coming out heavily and I could hear my things I had just said about our mate.  wolf whimpering in my head because of the mean  Everybody in the room was stunned, they had never seen me like this before. I took in a deep breath and shakily let it out feeling the tears make there way to my eyes. I desperately tried to hold them in but it just wasn’t working. The things I had just said about Xander were true but that didn’t mean it didn’t pain me to say them. A single tear ran down my face and I furiously  ed it away before looking up.  My dad looked disappointed, my mom sad but Reed and Emily looked plain out devastated. Another tear ran down my face and I knew that if I didn’t leave the room quickly I would completely break down in front of them. I turned on my heels and ran out of the room.  “Celeste!” My dad called and I heard my mom quiet him down.  “Leave her bee honey, she needs some time alone or she’s going to break.” She said to him. It always comforted me how well my mom knows me. I ran into my bedroom and slammed the door behind me. Throwing myself on the bed I tried to hold back the tears that wanted to come out, but with no look. It was like a waterfall of tears, just streaming down my face and I couldn’t stop them. I silently cried for what felt like forever and it must have been a while because I heard a knock on my door followed by the voice of Lela.  “Celeste! Are you ready to get ready?” She asked happily. I groaned in reply and wiped away the tears that were still on my face. A few seconds the door was thrown open and Lela strutted in. As soon as she saw my red, tear stained face her happy smile fell and she rushed towards me.  “What’s wrong Pais?” She asked as she sat down  next  to  me. I sighed and quickly told hold what had happened down stairs. 

Chapter 23  “What are you guys so excited about?” He asked curiously. Lela, of course, immediately started to tell him her plan. “Celestes going to the party tonight and I’m going to make her look so fine that every guy there will be on there knees begging for her attention.” She stated proudly. I rolled my eyes at her and watched as Seth cringed. “You know she still is my baby cousin so don’t make her look to good.” Seth said protectively. I slightly smiled at his protectiveness, he has always been like a brother to me. Lela let out a huff and rolled her eyes. “Blah! She will look so good..” She said getting quieter towards the end. Seth and I rolled our eyes at the strange girl before turning our attention elsewhere. I stared out the window as we pulled out of the parking lot and I couldn’t help but to let out a sigh. Today had been such a long day and I was nearly jumping for joy when the final bell rang. All day I had to watch Xander flirt and make out with other girls, it literally felt like my heart was being ripped out and to make matters worst Seth was hovering over me all day long. I mean I love him but he needs to back off. I’m not in the mood to go to any stupid party but I know that she would have kept bothering me until I agreed to go. The party is at Ty’s house, he’s a jock so practically everybody will be there. I really don’t know why Lela insists on me going but I guess it’s to late now. I was brought out of my thoughts when Lela snapped her fingers in my face. “We’re here.” She stated staring at me strangely. I lifted my head to see that we were parked in front of my house. I nodded my head but before I could get out of the car Lela put a hand on my shoulder. “I’ll be here at six to get you all sexyfied.” She said with a laugh. I rolled my eyes at the silly girl and exited the car. “Bye you guys.” I said to Seth and Lela. They both smiled happily at me before driving off. I looked up my house and sighed for what felt like the hundredth time today. After what happened with my parents this morning I don’t really want to go inside but I know I have to. I readjusted my bag on my shoulder before walking up the driveway and pushing open the from door. As soon as I entered the house I heard voices coming from the living room. I quietly shut the door behind me, so I wouldn’t disturb them, and walked towards the room. “She should be home any minute now.” I heard my dads voice come from inside. I was a bit confused as to who he was talking to because my mom would’ve already known that. “Okay good, we need to talk to her.” I heard Reeds voice. I clenched my teeth tightly, I really didn’t want to see him right now. I mean don’t get me wrong I love Reed but he’s Xander’s dad and that means he only wants to talk about one thing. I slowly turned around and started to make my way towards the stairs, very quietly so I could make my escape, but of course I had to do something stupid. I was almost to the stairs when I rammed into a table we had set up. I cursed under my breath and tried to scramble up the stairs. “Celeste?” I heard my moms voice come from below me. I quickened my voice but my dads demand stopped me. “Stop right now young lady, you need to come down here and talk to us.” He ordered with a hint of his alpha voice. I let out a loud, annoyed sigh before intly. I narrowed my eyes slowly turning around. My mom, dad, Reed and Emily were all standing at the bottom of the stairs looking at me before scrambling down the stairs and walking past them into the living room. I took a seat on one of the couches and waited for them to enter. The four adults followed right behind me and took a seat on the couch opposite of me. I fiddled with my fingers and avoided eye contact with any of them. After a few minutes my dad let out a frustrated sigh. “Celeste were not going to lecture you or anything we just want to talk.” He stated. I raised my eyebrows but didn’t look up from my fingers. “About what?” I asked innocently. I slightly raised me head in time to see dad clench his jaw. “Don’t act like you don’t know because you know exactly what we want to talk about.” Dad said angrily. My mom put a comforting hand on his shoulder and he immediately calmed down. I scoffed angrily and glared at the four adults. “Well I don’t want to talk about it.” I snapped back. My mom sighed quietly and looked over to me. “Honey you need to talk about it, it’s unhealthy to keep your feelings bottled.” She said gently. I rolled my eyes before running a hand threw my hai

Chapter 22  I put on a little bit of make up and then walked towards my closet. I put on the first thing I grabbed which happened to be a pair of black skinny jeans and a cute long sleeved red shirt that had hearts on it. I pulled on my black toms and then headed down stairs. I was just about to walk into the kitchen when I heard hushed voices. I paused for a moment to listen. “I’m worried about her Alaric.” I heard my mother say from inside the kitchen. My dad sighed and I heard him move towards my mother.  “I know honey, I am to.” He replied. It was silent for a moment before my mom replied. “I know what it feels like to be rejected and I don’t want her to have to go threw that.” She said softly. I frowned in confusion, rejection? I heard tay dad suck in a deep breath before he let it out. “I know. We can’t make Xander change his mind though. I talked to Reed yesterday and he said that Xander refused to even talk about it.” Dad said. 1 decided I didn’t want to hear anymore so I walked into the kitchen. Mom and dads heads snapped up and when they saw me a look of sadness came over them. “Hey guys!” I said trying to be cheerful but I could tell they hadn’t bought it. They gave me concerned looks and I had to hold in the eye roll that wanted to escape. I quickly walked over to the counter and got out the stuff for cereal. After I made the cereal I sat down and slowly started eating. It was completely silent am I could feel there eyes on me. I quickly turned around and saw that my parents were giving me sympathetic looks. “Stop staring at me like that! I’m not some charity case!” I snapped. As soon as the words left my mouth I regretted them. My dad gave me a hurt look and it looked like my mom was about to start crying. I sighed and was about to apologize when I heard a honk from outside. I got up and walked out of the kitchen not even saying bye to my parents. Seth and Lela were waiting for me outside and I climbed into the car without saying anything. “Hey!” Lela said happily. I simply raised my hand to her then turned to face the window. Lela got the message and didn’t try to talk to me for the rest of the ride to school. When we got to the school Seth parked the car and I was up and out in less then a minute. I slung my bag over my shoulder then hurriedly walked into the school, keeping my head low. I made my way to my locker before u heard footsteps from behind me. I didn’t turn around though because I could care less who it was. “Wow, slow down Celeste.” I heard Lela’s voice come from behind me. I rolled my eyes annoyed and then scolded myself for it, just because your hating the world right now doesn’t mean you have to be mean to everybody else, I thought to myself. I turned around slowly and forced a smile on my face. “Sorry I just wanted to get to my locker.” I said lowly. Lela raised her eyebrows at me but didn’t comment. Seth walked up behind Lela and wrapped his arms around her waist, he then kissed her neck and whispered something in her ear that made her giggle. It hurt me to see them do stuff like that because I know that I will never get to. I cleared my throat loudly and there eyes snapped to mine. I gave them a look and they both looked apologetic. I contained the eye roll that wanted to come out and turned around, heading towards my first period class. On the way there I bumped into a few people and each time I wanted to punch them. Every little thing was irritating me but I couldn’t help it. I nearly snapped as another person slightly bumped into me. I sighed, this is going to be a long day.. *Celeste’s POV* “Oh come on Pais! It won’t be any fun if you don’t go!” Lela whined as we exited the school. I rolled my eyes at my childish best friend and quickly  walked towards Seth’s car. “Lela I already told you, I don’t want to go to the party tonight.” I replied. Lela let out a frustrated sigh and ran up next to me. She grabbed my arm and spun me around to face her. “This will help you get your mind off of him, 1 promise.” She said truthfully, I breathed in heavily before letting it all out in a loud sigh.  “Fine.” I muttered quietly. Lela let out a happily squeal before she dragged me over to the car. “Oh this is going to be so much fun! I’m going to make you look so good and boy is he going to regret what he did.” She said happily and I could practically hear the wheels turning in her head. I groaned annoyed before getting into the car. Lela is my best friend but she can get on my sometimes. Seth was already sitting in the drivers seat and when Lela and I got in he gave us questioning looks
