Chapter 2
When I woke up again, I was already on the bed in the medical room by Worrior.
The medical room was eerily silent. my legs had lost all sensation, the stench of blood mingling with the sharp tang of disinfectant in the air.
I lay on the cold, hard bed, my fingers limp at my sides, my vision blurred. The only things she could feel were the violent pounding of my heart and the all–consuming agony of betrayal and despair.
“This isn’t the Pack’s law!” My voice was hoarse, laced with suppressed fury.
Alpha Keal stood at the foot of my bed, his expression devoid of guilt–only an icy

authority. He stared into my eyes, his gaze frostbitten. ”
Selene, this is for the good of the Pack. This is the law.” He paused, weighing his next words carefully. “You were never the right choice. Vivian is.”
“Vivian?” I whispered, pain flashing in my eyes. “You favor me so much, Alpha Keal? You’d abandon me just like that?”
Alpha Keal didn’t respond. Instead, he coldly signaled the Pack Doctor to proceed. A bone–deep chill swept through I as she realized she had been completely discarded in this place devoid of warmth.
She knew then that Alpha Keal and Vivian’s bond went beyond mere duty. Their connection had long surpassed the boundaries of Pack loyalty.

Vivian–the she–wolf who had always claimed to be Alpha Keal’s fated mate -had flaunted her status shamelessly, manipulating everything to her advantage.
Vivian was pregnant now, and that pup, regardless of gender, would become the Pack’s future ruler.
I, on the other hand, was nothing more than a temporary plaything, now worthless–so worthless that even my corneas had been carved out and given to Vivian.
“Are you really going through with this?” my voice rose, raw with anger. “Do you feel no pity for me?”
Alpha Keal’s expression remained impassive, as if my pleas were nothing but background noise. A faint flicker of disappointment

crossed his face. “Selene, you’re intelligent. You know the Pack’s laws. Vivian will be the strongest wolf, the most suitable mate. You… are no longer my other half.”
His words were a knife to my heart. I bit my lip hard, fighting back tears. She had given this man everything–risked my life for him -only to be cast aside without a second thought. Memories of their time together flooded my mind, once–sweet moments now turned bitter with irony.
Suddenly, a familiar voice spoke from behind.
“Alpha Keal, Vivian’s surgery has begun.” It was Beta Elio, Alpha Keal’s Beta–a man I had always despised, knowing he and Vivian were cut from the same cloth. He glanced at me, his eyes devoid of sympathy.

“You know I have no choice,” Alpha Keal said, his voice frigid. “This is the Pack’s decree. Vivian must receive the best medical care.”
“But these are mine!” I screamed, my voice breaking. “My eyes! You carved out my corneas!”
Alpha Keal didn’t flinch. He leaned down slightly, his gaze deepening. “For the Pack’s future, it’s a worthy sacrifice.”
“Worthy?” I let out a hysterical laugh. “Is that how you justify this to yourself? For that pregnant she–wolf’s sake?”
Alpha Keal didn’t answer. He turned and walked away without another word.
My heart split in two, but I refused to collapse. Clenching my jaw, I suddenly felt an unfamiliar power surging within me–a

force rising from the depths of my bloodline.
“Go ahead… leave,” said softly, my voice devoid of pleading, only cold detachment. “I won’t be the weak she–wolf you see anymore.”
Alpha Keal didn’t look back. The door slammed shut behind him, leaving me in suffocating silence.
“From this moment on,” my voice was glacial, freezing the air itself, “I am no longer part of this Pack. I don’t need your pity.”
I closed my eyes, embracing the pain as the awakening power within me grew stronger.
I was no longer the weak she–wolf Alpha Keal had discarded. My bloodline–the lineage of the white wolf–had awoken in my rage and suffering.
