Chapter 8
“Enemy attack –!”
The early morning alarm pierced the silence of the snow field. I sprang from my bed, my gray eyes glinting in the darkness.
I grabbed my dagger and rushed out of the tent, running head–on into the warrior with blood on his face.
“Rebellion Pack!” The soldier fell to his knees. “The eastern line has been —”
The explosion swallowed up the second half of the sentence. I looked up and saw Alpha Damien Black’s flag fluttering in the flames.
“Gamma team, listen!” I tore off my skirt and wrapped it around my wrists. “One team

protects the old and the weak, and two teams break up with me!”
“Are you crazy?” Healer Lucian grabbed my shoulder. “Your eyes aren’t quite healed yet
I threw away his hand. “Now I’m your only hope.”
In the middle of the battlefield, my silver hair was like a flag in the firelight. Alpha Damien’s fighters surrounded me.
“Miss White Wolf.” Alpha Damien walks out of the shadows and Vivian follows him like a pet. “We meet again.”
Vivian gives a malicious smile: “I hear you are now the guard dog of the snow pack?”
my nails lengthened: “At least it’s not a rebel

bitch.”
Alpha Damien laughs. “Tough talk.” He suddenly took out his knife and hit me in the throat. “Show me how much the legendary white Wolf —”
The silver burst..
I am a fly–away, white Wolf born with talent and my recent efforts to elevate my powers to terrifying proportions.
I grabbed the knife with a backhand, and one of the three rebel fighters fell to the ground screaming.
Alpha Damien took a few steps back, “It is true that he is a white Wolf, and his strength is as strong as ever! Let’s go!” As soon as Alpha Damien gave the word, the rebel wolves began a massive assault.

In the melee, a dark figure takes down five rebels who attack me. When the sixth enemy fell, my dagger caught the shadow’s throat.
“Does a Worrior deserve to be near a white Wolf?” I looked coldly at Alpha Keal, whose face was stained with blood.
Alpha Keal’s ears drooped feebly. “I just… Want to help.”
“Help?” I raised my eyebrows sarcastically. “Like you helped Vivian gouge out my eyes?”
Vivian’s scream was suddenly heard in the distance. Alpha Damien was dragging my hair toward the fire: “Useless junk!”
Alpha Keal–instinctively took half a step and then stopped.

I sneers, “Go ahead, your Mate is waiting for you.”
“No.” Alpha Keal’s voice cracked horribly. “I owe her, and I paid her back.”
With the help of me White Wolf, the Snowfield Pack successfully fought off the rebel wolves.
In the rubble after the war, Healer Lucian bandages my bleeding eye.
“You must have a good rest.” “If you don’t pay attention, you’ll be blind forever!”
I shook off the gauze. “Then fix everything while you can see it.”
I stood alone on the edge of the cliff, with the sound of dead branches cracking behind me.

“Come out.” “I said without looking back.
Alpha Keal came out from behind the tree with a bloody bandage in his hand. “You… It fell on the battlefield.”
“Follow me?” I turned, my gray eyes cold in the moonlight. “You’re not even worthy of me now.”
Alpha Keal suddenly knelt down. “Kill me.” He tore open his collar to expose his throat. “Sacrifice my blood to our pupren.”
My nails sank deep into my palms. “Death is too cheap for you.”
I leaned down and whispered in his ear, “I want you to live and watch me take away everything you hold dear — just as you did to
me.”

The Wolf howled in the distance, and the two turned their heads at the same time – the search team of the snow pack was approaching.
“Get out of here.” I kicked him. “Don’t make
me suspect.”
“I’ll make it up to you,” Alpha Keal said before disappearing into the night.
