Layla’s eyes were fixed on the door, her mind racing as she anticipated the moment when Isis would roll out Samuel’s body. She could already imagine the scorn and fury Julian would unleash
Adrian was just as tense, but his emotions were more conflicted. As he thought about how huis would soon face condemnation from everyone, he felt a pang of sympathy for her.
Samuel was pushed out of the operating room, and Michael, sering the crowd gathered at the door, proudly announced, “The surgery was a surers. The patient is no longer in life threatening danger!”
This outcome was expected by Julian. After all, when Midnight stepped in, there was no one she couldn’t save. But still, hearing the news made a huge weight lift off his chest
The doctors and nurses, who had been anxiously waiting outside, let out a collective cheer. In the medical world, there was no greater victory than bringing someone back from the brink of death.
But while some were celebrating others were in complete shock. Layla felt as if she’d been struck by lightning. She thought, “The surgery succeeded! Samurl is saved? How is that even possible! It feels like some kind of fantasy!
She didn’t want to believe it, but Samuel did look stable as he was wheeled out. At least, he was alive.
Adrian was just as stunned. He knew Samuel’s condition well. His thoughts mirrored Layla’s–there was no way Samuel could be saved
He considered himself an expert in medicine, thinking, Tow can I have been wrong? Is there really someone out there who can do what he can’t? But that person it can’t possibly be Isis, can it? She clearly doesn’t know anything about medicine.
As the girl who knew nothing” walked out of the operating room, the doctors around her spontaneously began to clap, showering her with praise.
Layla’s face turned crimson with rage. Her hands clenched so tightly into fists that her nails nearly dug into her skin.
When Samuel was wheeled out, several doctors came forward to check on him. His breathing was steady, and his condition had definitely stabilized.
Michael, knowing that Isis didn’t like being surrounded and bombarded with questions, instructed everyone to disperse. He told them to ensure that Samuel was comfortably settled into his room to rest.

The crowd gradually broke up, leaving only Julian, Robert, and a few others. Layla, as the attending physician, stayed behind, and Adrian st with her.
Though far was there to keep her company, Adrian couldn’t help but steal glances at Isis.
As she was wearing her surgical scrubs with the mask now removed, Isis’s flawless face was exposed–pale and delicate, her eyes

Her gaze was calm, almost indifferent, yet there was an undeniable charm in the way her eyes moved, cool l

But more than just her beauty, in that moment, Isis seemed to embody the essence of a doctor–a calm, composed presence that exuded confidence and the quiet strength of someone who saved lives.
Adrian thought, “How could this be? He was completely confused. “The same Isis who has been playing the role of a housewife for so long now carries herself with such magnetic professionalism. How is that possible?
“Look at her sming face. I still don’t believe she was the one who performed the surgery on Samuel Layla muttered bitterly to Adrian
Adrian couldn’t believe it either. But the scene in front of him–luis looked so much like a doctor–made him wondered, How is she so captivating and confident, exuding that powerful energy? Adrian honestly felt like he was seeing a ghost.
Meanwhile, Robert stood there, stunned, his eyes wide. “Dr. Green, the patient is really okay?”
Michael beamed with pride. Isis had saved the patient’s life, and he felt a sense of pride just being a part of it.

He was incredibily tall. A1, 30, Isis had to tilt her head slightly to meet his cold, distant gaze.
“The surgery saver. If recovery goes smoothly, Samuel should be discharged in a week,” die said. Before Julian could respond, a mocking laugh broke the silence from the corner. It was Layla. Layla had been quiet until then, but the sound of her laugh immediately drew everyone’s attention. Julian’s expression so

But before Julian could say anything. Isis spoke first, She raised an eyebrow, her voice casual. “Dr. Wilson, do you have a problem with Samuel’s
“Of course not” Layla quickly denied. “It’s you who’s being arrogant Samuel is in such a fragile state. Even if the surgery is successful, there’s no way he will be out of the hospital in just a week”
Is chuckled softly. “Dr. Wilson, haven’t you learned anything from your lesson? You really are clueless, aren’t you?”
As she was humiliated in front of everyone, Layla’s face flushed with anger. “You’re talking nonsense! I’m the best chief physician at St. Stephen Hospital
She thought. How l
dare a mere housewife mock me, a medical genius!
Robert sighed, exasperated. He thought, Here we go again–she is giving herself titles again..!
lais’s ryes sparkled with sarcasm. “Oh! The best chief physician at St. Stephen Flospital, and you don’t even know how potent a cardiac stimulant is?
Layla, comamed by jealousy, had forgotten that she’d been the one who suggested using the cardiac stimulant in the first place.
His shot her a cold, assessing look. “Injecting a cardiac stimulant when the patient still has a chance to survive is essentially signing their death sentence. If you don’t think thut’s ignorant, then are you doing it on purpose! You were killing him”
“I didn’t” Layla gasped, horrified. Her hatred for Isis burned in her chest
She thought. How dare she say that Julian is standing right there does he really think I am trying to harm Samuel on purpose?
