After a few seconds of silence, Phoebe nodded and said, “Alright, can I go there tomorrow?”
“Sure.”
Early on the next morning. Phoebe drove to the police station.
The arrogance in Adrian a couple of days ago vanished, replaced by exhaustion like an old man. His hair even turned gray.
In his days of detention, he had witnessed the cruelty of the world.
All the relatives that he helped refused to help him and even drew a line with his family.
Adrian finally realized how ungrateful these bastards were, but it was way too late.
Now, Phoebe appeared in front of him, and he felt terribly unwilling to surrender to her.
“Felix is dead, and I’m imprisoned. Are you satisfied now, Phoebe?” he said.
Phoebe just looked at him so indifferently and said, “You and Felix have this coming. In fact, I feel nothing about you two’s end.”
Clenching his teeth, Adrian, albeit reluctantly, had to admit his undoubted defeat in the battle with Phoebe.
“I call you here today to ask what you are going to do with the ten percent shares of Miracle Youth under my name,” he said.
Phoebe looked at him with an eyebrow raised and said, “What are you suggesting?”
He continued, “I want to transfer them to my son. Don’t worry, he’s not going to work there. I just want you to transfer the annual dividends to his account.”
With a sneer, Phoebe said, “That is very unlikely to happen, Mr. Turner.”
Adrian had anticipated that. He said coldly, “If you agree, I’ll keep that secret to my grave. If you don’t, that secret can fetch a good price.”
Phoebe squinted and asked, “Is that a threat?”
Adrian shook his head and said, “How come? It’s a plea.”
Phoebe didn’t speak for a while. Then, she said, “I’ll transfer two million dollars to your family every year, but don’t ever think about the shares.”
“Phoebe, that’s over the line!” Adrian roared while gritting his teeth.
“Mr. Turner, you’ve been kicked away from the negotiating table,” said Phoebe.
“I’m not going to keep your secret for just two million dollars a year!” he shouted.
Phoebe still looked so calm and said, “You’re going to spend a very long time in jail. If your family knows they can have this money for your sake, they will visit you and make your life easier there.”
“However, if you sell me out, you can gain some money, but what will your family do to you once they know you are useless to them?” she continued.
Adrian’s face distorted because he knew Phoebe was right.

Adrian didn’t expect that Phoebe would see through his tricks.
“Fine. I can transfer my shares to you, but I need a lawyer to help with the procedure, demanded Adrian.
“No problem, Phoebe said.
Since they had made a deal, they signed without hesitation after a lawyer came there with a draft agreement.
“It’s always a pleasure to cooperate with you, Mr. Turner,” said Phoebe.
Adrian looked depressed and stared at Phoebe, “One day, you’ll pay for your ruthlessness.”
Phoebe just smiled at it and didn’t take what he said in heart at all.
“Mr. Turner, if I am really as ruthless as you said, I have already taken the ten percent shares back without paying you a penny. I gifted them to you before, remember?” she said.
Then, Phoebe left the police station.
Just as she approached the gate, she saw Yann’s car parked outside the police station.
“What’s up? Is everything alright?” he asked.
“Yeah. How do you know I’m here?” Phoebe asked.
“The nanny cooking in your villa told me your whereabouts when I came to pick you up,” he said.
