Felix frantically shook his head and kept denying it. “No, I was just joking, Ms. Greene. I know you’re generous and kind. Please don’t take my bullshit to heart.”
As he spoke, he even started slapping himself in the face. Phoebe watched him coldly, her expression unmoved.
It wasn’t until Felix’s face turned red from his own blows that she finally stepped off him, her movements calm and deliberate. Without another word, she walked away.
The moment she turned around, Felix’s fearful eyes turned venomous. He glared daggers at her retreating figure, his fists clenched tight. He silently swore, “This isn’t over. I’ll definitely make her pay for this.
Watching Pheobe leave, Declan turned around and went back to his table. His face was unreadable, but his mind was already working. Maybe it’s time to have Patrick look into Phoebe.’
Until now, all Declan knew about Phoebe was that she was the Greene family’s long–lost daughter, missing for sixteen years, and Jennifer’s twin. For three years, she had been a dutiful wife, taking care of him without any complaints. She had seemed ordinary–until tonight. Now, Declan wasn’t so sure.
Ian, still stunned, turned to Declan and asked, “Dude, Phoebe just beat the hell out of Felix. You know Felix won’t let this slide. You really gonna just sit back and watch?”
Declan’s expression remained indifferent, and he replied, “She didn’t ask for my help. Why should I stick my nose in?”
Ian shot back, “She’s your wife, man.”
Declan’s face turned slightly grim, and his voice turned cold, carrying a hint of disappointment. “Maybe not for much longer.”
Ian raised his eyebrows, looking surprised. “You’re planning to divorce her and get back with Jennifer?”
Declan didn’t respond, and Ian took his silence as confirmation. Ian then spoke, “Honestly, you’ve always loved Jennifer. If you get divorced, it’s better for both you and Phoebe.”
“Phoebe asked for the divorce,” Declan said curtly.
That actually caught Ian off guard. For the past three years, everyone had seen how much Phoebe cared about Declan. No one had expected her to be the one to ask for a divorce.
Ian asked, his tone curious, “Are you kidding me? Since she asked for the divorce, what’s there to hesitate about? Or is she asking for too much money?”
The questions made Declan’s mood sour further, and his gaze turned sharp. “You’ve got too much free time, huh? Have you dealt with your ex’s stuff yet?”
That question immediately shut Ian up.
When they walked into the private room, Scott and Marcus were already there.
Scott immediately noticed Declan’s sour mood and asked, “Why do you look so pissed off?”
Before Declan could answer, Ian said with a smirk, “Someone here got hit with a divorce request. He’s not taking it well. don’t piss him further.”
Scott paused and then said with a shrug, “Well, let’s just enjoy the meal. No need to dwell on unhappy things.”
To be honest, none of them had ever been optimistic about Declan and Phoebe’s marriage. And now that Jennifer was back,

the cracks in that marriage were even more obvious.
No one noticed that Marcus, who had remained silent all this time, tightened his grip around his glass.
After dinner, Scott and lan suggested heading to Regal Haven for drinks.
Declan shook his head. “You guys go ahead. I have something to take care of.”
Marcus also declined, saying he needed to go home.
Scott looked at lan and proposed, “They both left. Should we just hit up a random bar?”
lan let out a chuckle and shook his head. “Got a date with my girlfriend. Enjoy yourself.”
Scott stared at lan for a few seconds and said, “Damn, you really don’t waste time. This one isn’t a celebrity, is she?”
“Nope. I’ll introduce her to you guys next time,” replied Ian.
Scott raised his eyebrows and asked, “Oh? Sounds like you’re serious this time.”
“I always take relationships seriously
Scott rolled his eyes and said, “Yeah, sure,
Go on then. I’ll just go home and sleep.”
By the time Declan returned to the villa, it was already past 9 PM. As soon as he stepped inside, he saw Phoebe with a bag slung over her shoulder, about to leave.
She had changed into a tracksuit, and her long hair was tied into a high ponytail, making her look both sharp and effortlessly stunning.
Declan asked, “Where are you going this late?”
Phoebe hadn’t expected him to be home at this hour. After a brief moment of surprise, her expression turned neutral. “Got something to do. I won’t be back for the next few days.”
