Phoebe looked at him indifferently. “I am also curious about how you plan to not let me off.”
As her words fell, the entire room fell into a deep silence, so quiet that one could almost hear a pin drop.
Marcus sensed the icy aura emanating from Declan and, worried that he might actually harm Phoebe, quickly stepped forward. “Declan, we still don’t know exactly what happened or the reason behind Phoebe and Bianca’s argument. Let’s all stay calm for now.”
Scott sneered. “Does it matter why? Bianca has a broken bone, and Phoebe is perfectly fine. It’s clear who is right and who is wrong.”
Phoebe turned to look at Scott, suddenly smiling.
Coldness flashed in Scott’s eyes. “What are you laughing at?”
“I laugh because Cora must have been blind to ever fall for you, quietly being your secret girlfriend for two years,” she replied, her tone biting.
The moment her words dropped, both Scott and Declan’s faces darkened significantly.
Scott was angered that Phoebe had exposed his past, while Declan felt that Phoebe’s words carried a double meaning as if she was not only mocking Scott but also him.
Just as the tension rose, Bianca, still in Scott’s arms, spoke. “Phoebe, after I came back, Scott returned to my side.
“I know Cora must be unwilling to accept this. It’s normal for you, as her friend, to dislike me. But I cannot tolerate you using such a vicious method to take revenge on me.”
Phoebe raised an eyebrow, her gaze cold. “You’re overthinking. Cora is not unwilling. If she were here, she would thank you for taking this jerk away from her. After all, a jerk and a bitch are a perfect match.”
“Phoebe, enough.” Declan’s face turned ashen with anger. Her provocation of Scott and Bianca was equivalent to stepping on Scott’s last nerve. “Apologize to Scott and Bianca immediately.”
Phoebe raised an eyebrow and smiled, her eyes cold. “Declan, I told you. I will not apologize.”
With that, she turned to leave.
“Stop!” Scott set Bianca down, stood up, and walked toward Phoebe. “Apologize or fall off your horse like Bianca. You pick.”
Declan stared coldly at Phoebe, not speaking, clearly tacitly agreeing with Scott’s words.
Jennifer couldn’t suppress a feeling of triumph and thought, ‘It seems Phoebe is not that important to Declan, or he would not have allowed Scott to push Phoebe so much.
Phoebe lowered her eyes and smiled slightly, her voice quiet but clear for everyone to hear. “Sorry, I choose neither.”
“Phoebe, you are forcing my hand.” Scott reached out to grab Phoebe and force her to apologize, but before he could touch her, Phoebe seized his arm.

darkened, and before he could react, Phoebe threw him over her shoulder, sending him crashing to the ground.
Every inch of Scott’s body ached, and if it weren’t for his pride, he would have cried out in pain.
Except for Ian and Declan, everyone else in the room was shocked, not expecting Phoebe to be so skilled.

Just as Declan was about to respond, a staff member from the racetrack walked in. “Mr. Wright, here is the surveillance footage from the time Ms. Jennings had her accident. As soon as we found out about the incident, we immediately copied it for you.”
Jennifer and Bianca’s faces turned pale as they thought, ‘How could there be footage? If they see the surveillance video, we are finished. What should we do?
