“No.” Jennifer covered her mouth, her eyes filled with disbelief. Tears welled up instantly. “No way, Deck! I’ll find the best doctors for you. Your leg will definitely recover.”
“Jennie, let’s not talk about this right now,” Declan said.
Seeing that Declan did not want to bring up the subject, Jennifer remained silent. It took her a while to compose herself.

“Deck, you and Pheebs are about to get divorced. It’s not appropriate for her to stay here. Why don’t I take care of you from now on?” Jennifer suggested.

Realizing that Declan was now looking at her with an icy gaze, Jennifer quickly explained, “Deck, that’s not what I meant! Your leg will definitely heal. Pheebs finally agreed to the divorce. I just worry that if she spends too much time taking care of you, she might fall for you again and refuse to go through with it.”
Before Declan could respond, Phoebe, who had been watching them coldly from the side, finally spoke. “Don’t worry. I won’t fall for him again.”
