Chapter 17
The next day, Jane’s scandalous photos were flying everywhere and circulating within the upper–class circles.
Jane lay on the bed, barely breathing, wrapped in bandages with fresh blood seeping out.
She was completely disfigured by the fierce dog’s attack, feeling immense regret for deceiving Leroy, the madman. But now, it was too late to say anything.
She choked up and asked, “Leroy, what do you want?”
The man held his hand high and looked down, his voice cold, “Everything Jolie has suffered, I want you to return it all.”
Later, Jane saw a reporter walking in with a camera.
She suddenly realized what Leroy was about to do, helplessly reaching out and grabbing his sleeve, “Leroy, let me go, I’ll apologize to Jolie, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
Her hand was harshly pushed away by Leroy, his face filled with a look of disgust, deeply hurting her.
“Film it, and once it’s done, we’ll post this video on the trending topic.”
For the next whole week, entertainment news headlines were filled with scandals about Jane.
Under Leroy’s oppressive gaze, she kowtowed to the camera, repeatedly apologizing to Jolie until her head was broken and bleeding.

After it was over, Jane, her face covered in blood, begged Leroy, “Roy, I can’t do it anymore, please spare me.”
Leroy smiled and casually replied, “Of course.
Jane finally breathed a sigh of relief, and the next second, several doctors in white coats rushed in.
A deep voice fell on top of her head, “Jolie signed the waiver, so sending you to prison is probably not an option. However, I have found a better place for you. Don’t you want a worry–free life? I’ll make it happen for you.”
After speaking, Leroy looked at the several doctors in white coats with a fierce expression. “Oh, by the way, this young lady is sick and has been wanting to recover. Please, doctors, use any means necessary to treat her.”
Several doctors nodded in agreement, and then one quick–thinking doctor dragged her onto an ambulance.
Upon arriving at the destination, Jane’s face turned pale.
She screamed and cried out loud, “No, I don’t want to go to the mental hospital, I’m not crazy.”
Just as she was dragged out of the car, Jane’s attending physician solemnly instructed, “This patient has manic tendencies, take her to the electroconvulsive therapy room for testing.”
In a room of the mental hospital, there came heart–wrenching cries, but in the vast mental hospital, no one paid any attention. After all, such scenes played out here every day.

The moment the door opened, there was no trace of joy on Jolie’s face, instead a hint of impatience.

Leroy’s heart felt like it had been pricked with a needle, aching intensely. “Jolie, do you still not want to see me again?”
Jolie looked at him with a knowing expression and asked, “What do you think, Leroy?”
J’Okay, Jolie, I have avenged you. Jane not only deceived me from start to finish, but also plotted to kill your mother, framed you for killing her dog, pretended to fall down the stairs…”
“So what? What difference does it make if I know? Can my mother come back to life?”
In an instant, Leroy froze, looking at Jolie with a hint of despair.
After a while, Jolie sighed and prepared to close the door.
“No, darling!” He grabbed the door frame tightly, not caring about the pain as he was firmly caught, his amber eyes filled with guilt and pleading. “Jolie, can you give me a chance? I will make it up to you, I was wrong before.”
The always arrogant prince of New York’s elite, Leroy, actually had a moment of humble supplication, which Jolie found unbelievable. But in her heart, the Jolie who deeply loved Leroy was already dead. Besides hatred, she felt no other emotions towards Leroy.
The human heart will eventually change, and disappointment is not accumulated in just one or two days.
“Leroy, I don’t want your compensation. My mother is never coming back,

I just want to live a good life with Nikita,” Jolie looked at him, her voice calm as water. “Of course, it’s a life without you.”
After speaking, she pushed the man away and coldly closed the door.
