Jolie stood at the entrance of the hospital, taking a deep breath.
She couldn’t bear to part with the child, but she had to face it again. She had finally managed to leave behind that restrictive life and couldn’t afford to go back.
Kaeden gently patted her shoulder and spoke frankly, “Have you really made up your mind? I will support you no matter what you decide. If you want to keep the baby, I will help you raise him.”
Jolie frowned and punched him hard, “What are you saying? You can’t be too honest, raising someone else’s child, what were you thinking.”
Kaeden, however, had a warm smile that warmed the heart, “Not for someone else’s child, but for you.“,
“I didn’t want to put you in a difficult position by choosing not to have this child because of me.”
Jolie’s eyes rolled, her pink lips curled, and she looked up at him, glaring, “Who said I have to consider you, Kaeden? Don’t be so full of yourself.”

Jolie’s unhappiness immediately showed on her face, her proud thoughts shattered by the blunt insensitivity.

She shook her head, shook off all the inexplicable irritability, and walked

Kaeden was suddenly given a lot of cold looks, but he seemed completely unfazed, focusing all his attention on accompanying Jolie and keeping the doctor’s instructions firmly in mind.
Jolie felt for the first time that it was really nice to have someone like this accompanying her, without so many other thoughts. He was only good to her, and only good to her.
Before entering the operating room, a tall figure stood in front of Jolie, blocking out most of the sunlight. He suddenly bent down and gently embraced her, his extremely gentle voice falling into her ear, “Don’t be afraid, I’m here!”
Jolie remembered her deceased mother, who used to comfort her in the same way whenever they were homeless and wandering the streets.
She had never experienced that kind of peace of mind again.
Jolie was a little teary–eyed and rubbed her eyes with her hand.
Kaeden now only hated how clumsy his mouth was, unable to say any other comforting words. He clenched his fists, looking conflicted and sad.
Jolie saw through his dilemma and said with a smile, “It’s okay, having your comfort makes me feel much better.” Then, she turned and walked into the operating room.
Jolie had just entered the operating room when a figure lunged in front of
