Chapter 27 Kill Them All
Minerva had never expected the man to kiss her. She quickly struggled. “Mr. Lemieux, you’re crossing a line.”

With his handsome face lowered, Zevan forcefully and domineeringly trapped her in his arms. “Is it wrong for me to kiss my wife? So what if ours is a marriage alliance? What can you do to me now that I’ve kissed you?”
That left Minerva without a retort.
He’s playing dirty now, huh?
“Let go of me first, Mr. Lemieux!”
Minerva pressed against his muscular chest and shoved at him forcefully. As she was struggling, she suddenly heard a knock at the door. Outside, Quincy cried out, “Darling, what are you doing in there? I seem to hear another man’s voice.”
Minerva’s breath hitched, fear rendering her completely immobile. “Really? You must have misheard. I’m undressing to take a bath.”
“Hurry up, then. I can hardly wait.”
“Got it
While Minerva was busy replying to Quincy outside, she sensed Zevan’s thin lips drawing close once again.
A soft sensation came from her lips as the man’s supple ones found its way onto hers.
Minerva’s mind, which was tense in the first place, went blank in an instant. She seemingly caught a whiff of his clean and crisp masculine scent. He had been smoking, a faint whiff of tobacco lingering on him.
Zevan didn’t close his eyes but stared straight into her stunningly beautiful ones. Then, he slipped his tongue out and licked her lips lightly.
Minerva’s eyes abruptly constricted, the shimmering ebony pools within them quivering like a startled fawn. He was the first man to ever kiss her, hence her pronounced reaction.
Meanwhile, Zevan found himself reminiscing about the way she performed a pole dance on stage earlier. Although she wore a white dress, her sensual and provocative moves had captivated him completely.
Francis once asked him about Minerva’s charm.
Initially, he simply adopted a wait–and–see attitude toward the woman with whom he had a marriage alliance.
Right then, however, the answer that flashed through his mind was her beauty, intelligence, composure, and outstandingness
She was mischievous at times but cunning during others, not intimidated by his identity yet neither fawned over him because of it.
Just when Zevan wanted to involve his tongue in the kiss, Minerva suddenly opened her mouth and bit down on the corner of his lip hard.
Ouch!
When Zevan dropped his hold on her, he could sense that the skin at the corner of his lips had been broken. He could
ready taste the faint coppery taste of blood.
“Are
you a dog that you’re so fond of biting others?” He raised his hand and stroked the corner of his mouth that had been bitten.
Livid, Minerva harrumphed. “Serves you right for bullying me!”
At the sight of her animation born of indignance, Zevan’s initially gloomy mood unexpectedly eased. “Then, I apologize. I’m
sorry.”

marriage vows. However, it’s not my fault if other men are attracted to me or set their sights on me. You should blame the men who covet my beauty and not me for being beautiful,”
Zevan felt as if he had been lectured. His thin lips curved up in amusement. “From what you said, I indeed can’t blame you. Instead, I should kill all the men who cover you.”
Kill them all? Is the mafia’s way of doing things this crude and simple? No, no, I can’t allow him to do such a thing so impulsively
At times, the fact that her husband was a mafia boss gave her a headache. It seemed that any minor inconvenience was to be resolved by eliminating the other party in their world.
To them, taking someone’s life with a single gunshot was the simplest and most satisfying solution.
She wanted revenge but yearned to do so through her capabilities and methods to achieve it, refusing to be a woman who would only depend on her mafia husband.
At that moment, Quincy outside rushed her again. “Minerva, are you done yet? If you don’t come out soon, I’m going in. We can bath together.”
He chuckled lecherously.
