Alfred looked at Ashlee’s stubborn eyes, feeling very dissatisfied.
He felt that Ashlee had really become more and more unreasonable and disobedient.
In his mind, the Spencer family had provided for her so well for so long. All they did badly was to send her to prison instead of Sanaa for two years. And now look what attitude she had got towards them!
Sure enough, the country girl who grew up in the countryside is indeed ill–mannered!” Alfred thought.
A hint of disgust appeared in his eyes, and he snapped at Ashlee coldly, “What’s your attitude? Do you think I wanted weren’t for Mom and Dad’s request, I wouldn’t have come okay?
“With your disgraceful past, you should consider yourself lucky to be able to go home. Don’t be ungrateful!
“Sanaa is still waiting for you at home. She’s prepared a cake for you. Don’t let her down!”
Alfred’s hypocrisy really disgusted Ashlee.

She sneered coldly, “My disgraceful past? That’s all thanks to you guys, isn’t it? Especially you, my dear brother, who is a great lawyer.
Back then, Alfred did a lot of things in order to make Ashlee be imprisoned for Sanaa’s crime.
Of course, it was not just Alfred. Ashlee’s other three blood–related brothers and birth parents all “contributed” a lot.
Upon hearing this, Alfred was taken aback, and his expression changed instantly.
In the past, Ashlee was always cautious and tried her best to please the Spencer family.
She never dared to disobey them, let alone retort them.
But now, Ashlee was acting out of character. What happened to her?
Alfred furrowed his brow.
He then explained unhappily, “We had no choice but to protect Sanaa only in that situation.
“Sanaa is different from you. She has never suffered any hardships since she was a child. If she goes to prison, her life will be ruined.”
Ashlee sneered, “So I deserved to suffer those?
‘When you brought me back to the Spencer family, you promised me that you would try your best to make it up to me and let me feel what a family really was.
“I believed it foolishly. But what did I get in the end?”
She stared straight at Alfred coldly, with a hint of sarcasm at the corner of her mouth. The naïve Ashlee from before has long been dead in prison.
“Now, I don’t need you guys anymore.”
Alfred was stunned.
When Ashlee raised her foot to leave, he finally came to his senses.
He frowned and shouted ather, “Don’t forget that you’ve stayed in jail for years, and now, you’re nothing without the Spencer family! If you leave us, you’ll be even poorer than the beggars on the street!”
Alfred’s cold gaze fixed on Ashlee.
He knew that she would apologize because she was most afraid of hearing harsh words from them. Besides, she cared most about family, so she would definitely compromise and apologize this time.
