With this thought in mind, he continued, “It’s hard for you to go from luxury to frugality. You lived a year of luxurious life in the Spencer family. I don’t believe you can adapt to a simple and poor life!”
Luxury?
Ashlee suddenly laughed and turned her head slowly.
*First, you guys have never bought me any new clothes. Sanaa had countless famous brand clothes, while my clothes were all old and torn, but still couldn’t bear to throw them away.
“Second, you’ve never let me eat at the table at home. I either ate at school or ate alone outside.
“Third, I lived in the small utility room in your villa, where the rooms for the maids and servants were all bigger and brighter than mine.
“Fourth, I had to walk over six miles to school every day, while Sanaa had an exclusive driver.
“Finally, Sanaa has a bank card specifically for her pocket money, but you have never even paid for my tuition fees.”
She looked at Alfred, who was sullen, and concluded coldly, “Neither materially nor spiritually have you ever given me any real help.
“So, may I ask, who lived my luxurious life instead?”
Alfred’s face became increasingly sullen.
His expression was complicated. After a brief moment of panic, he quickly regained his usual calm and tried to make the Spencer family appear less heartless.
*Ashlee, just say what you need. Our Spencer family will not mistreat you in terms of material things.”
“No need,” Ashlee interrupted him expressionlessly.
“I said, I don’t need you guys anymore.”
Just at this time, a Maybach stopped in front of Ashlee,
A man got out of it and quickly walked up to Ashlee, respectfully bowed, and said, “Excuse me, are you Ms. Ashlee Spencer?”
Ashlee nodded.“I am.”
The man became more respectful.“I’m very sorry for being late. Ms. Spencer, please get in the car.”
When Alfred saw this scene, he was astonished.
if he remembered correctly, there were no more than five Maybachs in that model in the whole country.
Ashlee made a sound of agreement, and when getting into the car, she turned around to look at Alfred, who was standing still in place, saying, “By the way, there is another reason why I don’t wanna go back to the Spencer family. That is, I don’t like to stay with some inhuman animals.”
The driver of that Maybach glanced at Alfred from a distance, then walked around the front of the car, and got into the driver’s seat. Alfred watched that Maybach leaving, and his expression turned particularly gloomy.
“Who was it?” he wondered.
Who else would come to pick Ashlee up when she was released from prison besides the Spencer family?
