Chapter 11
Theodore’s POV
Janice and I shared a lot of ups and downs in our relationship.
The first time I met her was during a college fashion show. She was a fashion design major, and I heard that the clothes worn by the models on stage were her creations.
She was a very talented woman and was rightfully famous in college with many pursuers.
From the very first moment I saw her, I liked what I saw. But my feelings for her leaned more toward admiration.
At the time, I still couldn’t let go of someone else. That person was none other than Ivanna, my childhood sweetheart.
Ivanna and I had grown up together. She was sweet, cute, and very dependent on me.
But neither of us dared to express our true feelings. I thought Ivanna didn’t love me the way I loved her. During my sophomore year, I saw a photo on Ivanna’s social media of her holding hands with someone else.
That moment crushed me.
That year, I began to pursue Janice relentlessly.
Janice wasn’t actually as aloof as she seemed. At first, she resisted my advances. But over time, my persistence through her, and her attitude toward me gradually softened.

I hadn’t contacted Ivanna in a long time. But one day, she suddenly reached out to ask why I had stopped talking to her. That photo of her holding hands with another guy lingered in my mind, and it made me feel bitter. So, I made an excuse that I was busy and didn’t have time to chat.
Ivanna was pretty upset that I brushed her off.
even blocked me from seeing her posts.
I was down in the dumps that day, but then Janice asked me out. It seemed like she had never dinner together made her blush.

I took her virginity.
I knew that meant I had to take responsibility. After all, a girl’s first time still carried weight. But I still felt a when I thought about Iyanna.
Still, it was better to be with someone who loved me more than I loved them.

We moved in together before graduation. I realized that with her around, my life became a lot simpler, and I had fewer problems to deal with.
The year we graduated, we both went job hunting. She landed a position as a designer at a big company. The salary and benefits she was offered were excellent, but I always had the feeling her boss had ulterior motives.
Yet, Janice didn’t seem to notice it at all.
At the time, I still hadn’t found a suitable job.
Janice was beautiful and capable, and honestly, I was afraid she’d end up with someone else.
So, I tried to persuade her to leave that company,
That was the first time we had a huge row.
