Chapter 13
Lately, Lucian had been busy trying to make up for what he did to Raina.
He kicked Elaine out of the Ferguson’s residence.
Since I was staying at the Simpson’s residence, my parents didn’t dare
to return.
They had no choice but to move to another place with Elaine.
I had nothing to do for a while until Elaine suddenly showed up at the
door.
“Raina! How dare you take my things!” she shouted.
I smiled at her. “Call me Ophelia. That’s who I am now.”
Elaine looked at me with scorn. “I don’t care who you pretend to be. You’re still pathetic!”
I leaned back in the chair leisurely. “Funny. But these things originally belonged to someone pathetic like me.”
“You-”
Her expression turned cold, and she suddenly pulled a fruit knife from her bag.
I smiled as I caught her wrist and yanked the knife from her grip. “No need to pin anything on me. I can do it myself.”

While she stared in disbelief, I grabbed her hair and forced her to her knees.
I smiled as I dragged the blade gently across her cheek. “Do you hear that? It’s such a pretty sound.”
Elaine had never witnessed anything like that and was frozen in terror. “Please, let me go! I’ll leave right now!”
Cuts opened on both sides of her face, and pain brought tears streaming down her cheeks.
I leaned over to her ear and whispered, “Your real parents used to do this to me. They’d cut me with a knife whenever they felt like it.”
Elaine screamed in fear, “Raina! If Lucian finds out, you’re doomed!”
I chuckled. “Ever heard the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf?”
Before Elaine could react, I gripped the knife tightly and burst into fake tears. “Dad, Mom, please don’t hit me… I promise I’ll earn money…”
Lucian rushed in just in time to see the scene.
He immediately kicked Elaine aside, snatched the fruit knife from my hand, and hugged me. “You’re safe now. No one’s going to hurt you.”
He shot Elaine a deadly glare. “I won’t let her accuse you again!”
