Imana’s words instantly brought to mind that messy forum drama from before,
Briar was an orphan, adopted by Imani’s parents.
Briar just clckled lightly. “I don’t think it’s necessary. What’s your take, Imani!”
Imani’s face went pale as she realized Briar was threatening her.
But seeing Spencer beside her, looking clueless, she couldn’t help but feel resentful.

She thought to herself, ‘No matter why Briar revealed I’m Ronan’s sister, Ronan is a top–tier star, after all. Now that Spencer knows who I am, surely he’ll treat me differently, right!
To everyone’s surprise, Spencer’s expression instantly darkened.

Imani, usually so perceptive, instantly became flustered when she saw Spencer’s expression darken
Spencer frowned at Briar. “Miss Shepherdd, are you also Ronan’s sister?”
“Not really,” Briar said without hesitation. I have nothing to do with that family.”
“That’s a relief.” Spencer let out a visible sigh of relief, pulled a business card from inside his jacket, and handed it to Briar. I won’t disturb you any further, Miss Shepherd. We can reconnect after your boot camp ends, or feel free to reach out to me anytime.”
“Take care, Director Walsh,” Briar said with a bright, knowing smile,
Once Spencer was gone, Briar’s smile widened ingo–atriumphant grin.
“Terling frustrated, Immans? Like a dog staring at meat but never getting a bite?”
Imani spar through gritted teeth, her voice trembling with anger. “You did that on purpose!”
Briar smirked. “So what if I did it on purpose? Båte me!”
Branched her eyebrows dramatically, “Oh right, forgot–spoiled rich girls like you never fight back. When you get slapped around, all you do is whine pitifully on the forums. What good does that do you?”

Strip away the Blusions of the internet age, and one thith remained–the strong would always come out on top.
The watching students were sharply divided in their reactions.
Some people thought liniar was nutrageously arrogant and vulgar, really going too far, and they actually felt sorry for Imani.
Still others, noticing manis flustered demeanor, could tell there was more to the story between her and Briar than met the eye.
Imani stood frouen, unable to unter a single word.
Imani thought stealing Briar’s identity meant victory, but Briar couldn’t care less.
Even with nothing to her name, Briar could still get under Imani’s skin!
The team quickly assembled, but Briar shing on her weighted backpack and took off running laps around the track by herself. She breezed through three miles like it was nothing
At dinnertime, Briar skipped the cafeteria and cozied up alone in her dorm, scrolling through her phone.

The boot camp wasn’t even over yet, but the sports faculty had set their sights on Briar. With her exceptional athletic talent, everyone agreed she shouldn’t be wasting her potential in fine arts major
