“Ahhh!” Daphne let out a piercing scream, startled by the sudden chaos.
As the round table flipped, Abel scooped Daphne into his arms and stumbled several steps back in panic

“Elara! Come out here!” Abel shouted, striding toward the kitchen as he loosened the buckle on his belt. He pulled it free, wielding it like a seasoned warden.

Then Elara appeared at the kitchen doorway with a sharp knife in her hand. She had Bambi stay behind her in while she stood firmly in the doorway, radiating a defiant aura.
Her eyes were bloodshot, and when she saw the belt in Abel’s hand, it didn’t frighten her. Instead, it ignited her maternal
instincts. Her resolve was now as fierce as a roaring flame.
She had once longed to feel familial love from the parents she had been separated from for 18 years.
But now, she finally understood something–if she wanted to protect Bambi and live a good life, she needed to sever this already fragile bond entirely.
“Dad, are we really going to see who’s faster–your belt or my knife?”
Abel was tall, muscular, and a regular at the gym, while Elara was a weary housewife worn thin by years of toil. Did he need to fear her knife? (4)

“Are you really going to come at me with a knife?” he roared, but he didn’t step forward
Elara noticed his hesitation. Abel, for all his bluster, wasn’t about to take a chance.
She reached a hand behind her, and Bambi rushed forward to grab her arm. Keeping her eyes locked on Abel, Elara took Bambi’s hand and began retreating toward the front door.
Realizing her intent, Abel barked, “If you dare leave the Jones residence today, don’t even think about coming back!”
Elara quickened her pace as her grip on Bambi tightened
Abel let out a short, his nostrils flating as he watched them go. His voice boomed like a lion’s roar. “From this day forward, I disown Elara Jones as my daughter! If she dares to return, don’t let her in!” 1
“Abel Daphne cried, throwing herself into his arms while trembling with fear. “Are you really giving up on Lara?”

Niamh watched the scene unfold with cold indifference, and a sneer escaped her lips.
After all, Elara taking Bambi and slinking back to the Fisher family in disgrace would only earn Harvey’s contempt
