Chapter 30
Tobias frowned deeply, the phrase “shameless spectacle” nearly escaping his lips.
“What did you do to yourself?” he asked.
Theodore was dressed, technically, but his appearance seemed even more suggestive than if he hadn’t been. Tobias‘ thick eyebrows twitched furiously.
“I got caught in the rain,” Theodore replied nonchalantly as he casually brushed his soaked hair back.
From Elara’s perspective, Theodore’s profile was breathtakingly symmetrical, embodying the golden ratio. His high–bridged nose curved gracefully like a slide, mesmerizing in its perfection.
On the side of his face that faced Elara, his dimples deepened, making him all the more captivating.
Tobias, who was now leaning on Theodore for support, raised a hand to shield his eyes. He needed sunglasses–his son’s
radiant aura was too blinding!
“Let me help you to bed Dad. Don’t push yourself too hard.” Theodore said
“What do you mean, push myself?” Tobias snapped.
He continued thinking to himself, “You’re the one putting on a show! You’ve turned yourself into a peacock flaunting its
feathers!

Before Tobias could say another word, Elara shot him a worried look. Tobias hadn’t quite figured out the situation when
Theodore lowered him firmly onto the bed.
Theodore patted the pillow with a heavy hand, sending a small cloud of dust into the air. Tobias coughed violently, and Elara quickly stepped in to help.
“Dr Snapp, have some water,” she said while holding out a cup of water with concern in her eyes.

While trying to speak to Elara through his coughing, Theodore firmly pressed a hand on Tobias‘ shoulder and took the glass
of water from Elara

Tobias nearly choked in sheer frustration
Theodore then bent down, leaning closer to Tobias and effectively blocking Elara’s view. As a result, Elara couldn’t make out what Tobias was trying to say
Theodore gave Tobias a fum nod and said, “Got it”
What did he get? What nonsense! Tobias fumed internally. He hadn’t said a word!
Straightening up, Theodore turned to Elara and announced, “My dad gave his students a set of advanced math problems today If you can solve all of them, he’ll let the past go and forgive you.”
“Uh..“Tobias tried to sit up, but Theodore swiftly pressed him back down with one hand. The motion sent Tobias into

another coughing fit.
To make matters worse, Theodore began patting Tobias‘ chest with exaggerated vigor, ensuring the coughing continued
unabated
“Mr. Tobias! I will help too!” Bambi exclaimed. She was also concerned about Tobias.
Theodore pointed at the pillow. ‘Pat here.”
Taking the instruction to heart, Bambi energetically alternated her hands, patting the pillow with such enthusiasm that fine hint filled the air. Tobias felt as though he might faint on the spot!
When did he ever say he would forgive Elara? This was all Theodore’s fabrication!
Fine, whatever. Elara had been a homemaker for seven years, and the fact that she managed to solve the earlier problem was already impressive.
None of his students had ever completed all the problems on his worksheet. But forgiving Elara? They’d have to do that over his dead body.
Tobias shut his eyes in frustration.
“Mr. Tobias fell asleep Bambi suddenly exclaimed
“Let me check if he’s a
still breathing” Theodore leaned down, pretending to check Tobias” breathing, only for Tobias to glare and swat his hand away with a grimace.
Elara’s face lit up with gratitude. “Alright, I’ll get started on the worksheet right away!”
The realization that Tobias was still willing to give her a chance warmed her heart.
Every time she thought of Tobias for the past seven years, guilt weighed heavily on her. Apart from her adoptive parents, he was the person she felt she had wronged the most.
He had placed such high hopes in her, only for her to let him down
Elata nodded lightly and said, “Dr. Snapp, please rest well”
Tobias let out a long sigh of exasperation on the bed, waving her off
As soon as Elara and Bambi left the room, Tobias bolted upright. He grabbed the cane beside him and swung it directly at Theodore’s legs
