Nathan was drowning in work, scrambling to fix the mess. For the first time in weeks, he was too busy to hold my urn and make me sick.
That night, as Nathan was about to drive home, Trinity ambushed him from the backseat. She knocked him unconscious and dragged him to an abandoned warehouse.
When he woke up, he struggled against the restraints, only to realize he was tied up, completely immobilized.
His eyes burned with fury as he gritted his teeth and snarled, “Have you lost your mind? Let me go!”
Trinity’s laugh was unhinged. “Oh, I lost my mind a long time ago. And guess what? You drove me there! You threw me out of the hospital, left me with no money, and ruined my recovery.
“Now, my kidney’s failing, my body’s falling apart. I don’t even want to live anymore! Before I die, I’m taking you with me.”
Nathan’s gaze flickered to the knife in her hand, and he gulped. “Let me go. I’ll find the best doctors in the world to treat you.”
Trinity let out a hysterical laugh. “Too late. Go to hell.”
With that, she plunged the blade into his stomach and carved out both kidneys.

I turned away, drifting out of the warehouse. I didn’t dare look back.
Nathan’s agonized screams echoed in my ears. A single tear slipped down my cheek before it vanished into nothing.
Eventually, the screaming stopped.
Moments later, a fire ignited inside the warehouse, its flames spreading rapidly. Trinity had ended her own life.
Without Nathan, Heath Group didn’t last long. The company was devoured within days. When Jake was handling Nathan’s affairs, he could only sigh.
I had no more regrets. With nothing left to tether me to this world, I disappeared into the void.
