Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Julia’s father was merely an Alpha of a small pack affiliated with the Blood Moon Pack,
considered low in status.
According to the pack’s rules, she had no right
to step into this council hall. Her presence here was solely due to Emil’s insistence.
As soon as Emil finished speaking, the hall erupted in disbelief.
Julia blushed deeply, gazing at Emil with unabashed adoration in her eyes.
Stepping out from the crowd, she knelt and said, “Alpha Rex, but I… I truly love Emil. As long as I can be by his side, even if… even if I can’t become his mate, I am willing.”
Emil turned his head, grasped her hand tightly, then looked at Alpha Rex, “Father, I refuse to let Julia be slighted. I want her, she must be my only officially marked mate! I swear, I, Emil, will unite with only her in this life, becoming each other’s one and only!”
“Emil, do you realize what nonsense you’re spouting?” Alpha Rex stared at him, his face full of disappointment and discontent.
Chapter 10
The daughter of an Alpha from a subordinate pack aspiring to be the mate of the future Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack–it was sheer lunacy.
Emil abruptly raised his head, his tone firm, “Father! I will not unite with Sylvie! What I feel
for her is just sibling affection! If she insists, all she’ll get from me is a corpse.”
Alpha Rex, furious, rose sharply, but I interrupted them, “Please don’t be angry, Alpha.”
I placed the moon petal flower steadily into my cousin James’s hand, then turned to Alpha Rex, “Uncle, I’ve made my choice. I choose James as
my mate.”
Emil looked at me holding James’s hand and was initially stunned, but then his face broke into an expression of utter joy. He excitedly pulled Julia’s hand, “Julia, do you see? There’s no one left to compete with you! I told you, I would only unite with you, you’re my only one!”
Alpha Rex looked at him, disappointed, and sighed deeply, “Emil, are you truly not going to regret this? The bonding ceremony hasn’t been held yet; there’s still time.”

Emil nodded emphatically, “I want only Julia,
no regrets!”
As I was leaving the council hall, I encountered Emil escorting Julia out.
He looked at me with disdain, “I told your I’d never choose you, and today you had the good sense to make an exit for yourself. Even if you forced me to become your mate, I wouldn’t touch you! I promised Julia that my descendants could only come from her. Don’t. think of bearing my child!”
Julia leaned against him, her face flushed, “Sylvie, I never wanted to take Emil from you, but I genuinely love him. It’s the first time I’ve wanted to fight for something for myself; you don’t blame me, do you?”
Emil held her and comforted her gently, “Silly
girl, what are you afraid of? With me protecting you, no one can do anything to you. In the future, you’ll be the Luna of the Blood Moon.
Pack, and even Sylvie will have to bow to you.”
