Chapter 2

When Lesly opened her eyes, it was already dark outside.
Looking at the empty ward, a hint of sarcasm flashed in her eyes.
The nurse walked over with the examination report and briefly explained the condition, informing her that she would be discharged tomorrow after paying the fees.
She was flipping through the medical records, while her phone kept vibrating on the side.
It was Jessie’s message.
She sent dozens of photos, showing coff non–stop.
Justin carried her home, Cedric tied an apron and cooked for her, the two men pampered her and surrounded her, with a pile of gifts at their feet
“Sister, brother, and Justin really spoiled me. I was the happiest little girl in the whole world.”
Lesly glanced and didn’t reply to any messages.
After resting for a night, she finally completed the discharge procedures and returned home.
As soon as she entered, she saw three people sitting together watching a movie. Two men were protecting her in the middle, Cedric fed her fruits, and Justin handed her a drink.
And the horrifying bloodstains on the ground had already been cleaned up, with no one paying any attention.
Lesly moved her eyes away and silently returned to her room.
She took out a cardboard box and packed many things into it, then threw them away.
After filling it up, she walked out carrying the box.
In a short while, the flickering flames outside caught the attention of Justin and Cedric
They only then realized something was wrong, got up and walked out one after another, only to see Lesly standing in front of a huge brazier, throwing something into it
The two men’s hearts sank immediately, “Lesly, what are you doing?
Lesly didn’t answer, but just picked up a veil from the box and looked at Justin.
Justin, this is what you gave me when y you were seven years old. We were playing house and you claimed me as your own, saying I could only be your bride. Then you gave me this veil, saying it would be our wedding veil in the future.
After saying that, Lesly threw it into the brazer without hesitation.
In the next second, amidst the shocked gazes of everyone, she took out another amulet from the box
“Brother, this is what you gave me when I was fifteen. At that time, I was weak and often fell M, always having a fever. You were so concerned and went to the church, climbing thousands of steps, praying with every step, asking for my health, asking for my safety
After saying that, Lesly once again threw it into the fire pit without hestration.
Next, Justin wrote a love letter to her.
Next, Cedric gave her a pair of crystal shoes.
The next thing was the princess dress that Justin gave her.
Watching her burn all the memories to ashes, not even sparing the photos from childhood to adulthood, Justin couldn’t bear it any longer and rushed up to grab her hand.
“Lesly, I know you are still angry about what happened yesterday, but Jessie is an adopted daughter and already lacks a sense of security. Soon she will have to marry into the Leach lanily for you. There are not many good days left for her. This is what you owe her. Do you really have to argue with her?
Cedric also looked at her with disappointment, his tone carrying a hint of hidden anger. “Lesly, you just bumped your head, but what Jessie is about to lose is a lifetime of happiness. It seems Jessie was right, you really have been spoiled and can’t compare to her in the slightest bit of maturity!”
Lesly shook her head, “No, you’re wrong”
In was her who married into the Leach family, not Jessie!
Watching the flames gradually die out and the ashes on the ground, she turned and went back to the bedroom.
No explanation at all.
The next morning, Lesly was about to leave when she caught sight of a dozen gift boxes piled up at the doorstep.
She knew that these were all sent by Justin and Cedric
Every time the two of them made her angry in the past, they would never let her feel uncomfortable until the next day.
Cedric stood outside her door, red–eyed, for a whole day and night. “Sister, if you don’t forgive me,
, I won’t leave.”
Justin appeared pitifully holding a bunch of gifts and said, “Lesly, if you are still angry, just hit me, scold me, but please don’t get angry at yourself.”
But now, neither of them came, only a pile of cold items.
However, Lesly didn’t mind anymore. She chuckled self–deprecatingly and threw all these things into the trash can.
Jessie, who had just woken up, covered her mouth in feigned surprise when she saw it.
How did you throw them all away? Sister, don’t you like these gifts?
Oh, I have told my brother and Justin that you have been spoiled since childhood and definitely won’t appreciate these things. I advised them to give you the genuine article in my hand, but they insisted on me staying. I am just a lonely and helpless foster daughter, yet they are so kind to me..
Lesly
Lesly tugged at her lip, “Congratulations, from now on, this home is all yours.”
After saying that, without paying attention to Jessie’s bewildered and puzzled expression, he turned around and left.
