Chapter 11
Olivia took one look at Elena’s pathetic state and didn’t bother wasting words. With a snap of her fingers, a squad of stone–faced bodyguards stormed in. “Take her away.”
Elena flailed like a wild animal, her face contorted with fury. “Get your hands off me.”
But resistance was useless. Within seconds, they had her in a firm grip, dragging her out as she screeched and kicked, leaving nothing behind but a single red stiletto. “Cheryl, do something. Help me!”
As if Cheryl would dare. She stood rooted to the spot, silently praying the fallout wouldn’t land on her.
Then, from the crowd; a phone camera went off.
“Delete those,” Elena shrieked, desperately trying to shield her face with her hair.
didn’t you?”
Her voice faded as she was hauled out, and finally, silence settled over the room.
Olivia smirked, turning to Beau. “So, Beau, you knew about her little charity scam,
He gulped, playing dumb instantly. “Me? No idea what you’re talking about, Ms. Summers.”
“Ohhh, really?” Olivia drawled, arching a brow.
Beau broke into a cold sweat and wisely shut his mouth.

Olivia knew all about his fling with Elena. But she wasn’t the type to burn everything down. Elena had already served as the perfect example. Beau understood exactly where he stood now.
“Consider this your first and last warning,” Olivia said, her tone light but lethal. “Next time, you’ll be leaving more than just a shoe behind.” She nudged Elena’s abandoned stiletto with her foot, grinning.
The room collectively stiffened, unease rippling through the crowd at her unnerving aura.
Cheryl, still standing nearby, shot Olivia a venomous glare. Olivia met her gaze and raised a challenging eyebrow in return.
Then, with a sigh, Olivia turned back to Beau. “Beau, Ms. Sherman is still here. Do me a favor and escort her back where she belongs.”
-Catching her meaning immediately, Beau nodded. A couple of guards stepped forward, firmly guiding Cheryl back to the private room.
With the drama finally over, the onlookers who’d mocked Olivia carlier were now scrambling for ways to win her favor.
But Olivia couldn’t care less. She’d only come to dig up intel on NecroFlora Labs, and tonight had been a dead end.
Beau noticed her spinning idly in her chair and leaned in. “Ms. Summers, let me take you to the high–end VIP suite.”
Olivia tilted her head, fixing him with a stare that made everyone, even Beau, a seasoned player, tense up.
After a long pause, she stood. “No need. We’re done here.” With a dismissive wave, she signaled for him to stay put.
As Olivia walked down the corridor, she suddenly felt the weight of someone’s gaze on her. She spun around only to find the hallway empty. She thought maybe she was just being paranoid.
Then, out of nowhere, a blur of bright yellow came rushing at her. Caught off guard, Olivia stumbled back from the impact, landing
hard on the floor.
“Olivia, a high–pitched, sugary voice chirped. A pair of huge, doll–like eyes stared up at her, so bright that they might as well have been sparkling with stars.
“Olivia, don’t you recognize me?” Jenny blinked, putting on her best pout. But inside, she was giddy. I only came here to kill time, and now look. This is way better than I expected. Up close, Olivia is even cuter than usual.
Finally getting a proper look at the little whirlwind, Olivia took in the pale yellow princess dress, the soft hair, and the faint whiff of something sweet.

Chapter 11
“Of course I recognize you,” Olivia said, scooping her up without thinking, her voice softening. “Are you hurt?”
“Nope.” Jenny wrapped her arms around Olivia’s neck, nuzzling into her. “I missed you sooo much.”
Olivia laughed, “We just saw each other this morning. How can you miss me already?”
Beau, who’d been trailing Olivia just in case she caused trouble again, hurried over. When he saw Jenny clinging to Olivia, he asked, “Hey, where are your parents?”
Jenny shot him a glare that could’ve melted steel. ‘Ugh, seriously? Can’t you see I’m busy?‘ she thought. ‘I’ll have Ethan fire you for this.
Beau froze, suddenly unsure whether to stay or bolt.
“Just leave,” Olivia said flatly.
He didn’t need to be told twice and left.
Jenny snuggled closer, grinning. “Forget this morning. This is different. Oh, Andrew’s here too. We came to bid on the Phantom Healers Refreshing Pill. Wanna go see him?”
Olivia froze. “The Phantom Healer’s Refreshing Pill? The ingredients for that are nearly impossible to find, and I haven’t brewed one in years. There’s no way a real one could be up for auction tonight. What’s the item anyway?‘
She gently cupped Jenny’s face. “Listen, sweetheart. Go tell Andrew not to bid on that pill, okay?”
Jenny didn’t understand why, but if Olivia said so, she’d believe it.

“Don’t worry, I’ll tell him!” Jenny promised, squeezing Olivia in another hug. “But Olivia, you have to meet Andrew. He’s super hot.”
Olivia couldn’t help but laugh at her enthusiasm. “Not today. I’m busy. Maybe next time.”
But next time, promise! Oh, and don’t forget my name, okay? You may know a lot of
Jenny’s face fell, but she nodded stubbornly. “Fine. B Jennies, but I’m the most special one.”
“Got it,” Olivia said, ruffling her hair before standing to leave.
The second Olivia was out of sight, Jenny stomped her foot, arms crossed in a huff.
Ethan, who’d just arrived, barely stifled his laugh.
Jenny whirled around, eyes blazing, and drew a finger across her throat. “I heard that.”
Ethan immediately raised his hands in surrender.
“Jenny.” A deep voice cut through the air behind them.
She spun around to see a man in an impeccably tailored suit approaching with measured steps. Broad–shouldered with a trim waist, his pale features gave him an air of cool detachment as he casually dabbed at his hands with a handkerchief.
“Andrew,” Jenny huffed, her tone dripping with annoyance.
He looked down at her, his stern expression softening slightly. When he reached to pat her head, she ducked away with practiced ease.
“I told you not to run off,” he chided, though his voice carried more concern than reproach. “What if you cause trouble like you did this morning?”
