Kael’s POV
It was an official document from the Werewolf Council of Elders.

The parchment cover was stamped with the ancient seal of
Moon Goddess, signifying it was a legal document of the
highest order.
Kael opened it with trembling hands.
Petition for Dissolution of Mate Bond
Petitioner: Clara Moonwhisper (formerly Luna of the Silver Moon Pack)
Respondent: Kael Silvermoon (Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack)
Reasons for Petition:
Respondent engaged in long–term mental and physical abuse against the Petitioner.
Respondent betrayed the mate vow, maintaining an improper relationship with a third party.
Respondent deliberately withheld critical information, causing physical and mental harm to the Petitioner.
Decision: Upon review by the Council of Elders, the petition to initiate the severing ritual for the aforementioned mate bond is hereby APPROVED.
Effective immediately upon the date of this document, both parties are released from all mate obligations and rights.
At the bottom of the document were seven different seals, representing the unanimous consent of the seven great ancient
families.
Kael’s hand shook violently, and the document slipped from his fingers.
Dissolution.
Clara was cutting all ties with him.
No.
He couldn’t accept it.
Ignoring his pack’s crisis, Kael immediately booked the earliest flight to Europe.
“Alpha, you can’t go!” his Beta blocked his path. “The pack needs you to lead us right now!”
“Let the legal team handle it for now,” Kael hastily packed a bag. “I have to stop this.”
“But if you leave now…”
“Nothing is more important than Clara!” Kael roared. “Do you understand?”
He shoved his Beta aside and stormed out of the building.
But as he reached the entrance, a familiar figure blocked his way.
“Kael…”
It was Selene.
She looked utterly wretched–hair disheveled, clothes torn, face gaunt. Since being exiled, her life had clearly been hard.
“Kael, I know I was wrong,” she knelt before him, her eyes filled with desperate tears. “Please, give me a chance. Let’s start

over”
“Get out of my way,” Kael looked at her coldly. “Don’t block my path.”
“I have nowhere else to go!” Selene clutched his pant leg. “Everyone has abandoned me! Only you… only you can save me!”
“Me? Save you?” Kael scoffed. “You think I’ve forgotten what you did to Clara?”
“I can change! I can be the woman Clara was…”
“You could never be like her,” Kael shook her hand off in disgust. “You’re nothing but a venomous snake.”
“Don’t you talk about me!” Selene suddenly shrieked hysterically. “It’s all because of that bitch Clara! If it weren’t for her, we would be the happiest couple right now!”
“You dare speak her name?”
Kael’s eyes instantly turned gold, and a powerful rage made him lose all reason.
“This is all your fault!” he grabbed Selene by the neck. “You ruined everything!”
“Kael… I… can’t breathe…”
But Kael was completely out of control.
Three years of pent–up anger, despair, and regret exploded.
He shifted into his half–wolf form, his sharp claws plunging directly into Selene’s abdomen.
“Aaargh-!” Selene let out a bloodcurdling scream.
Blood gushed from the wound, her face instantly turning ashen.
“This is what you deserve!” Kael’s claws struck again. “Pay the price for what you did to Clara!”
“Help… me…” Selene collapsed in a pool of blood, her life force draining away.
It wasn’t until he saw all the blood that Kael snapped back to reality.
He looked at the dying Selene on the ground and realized what he had done.
“Someone! Call an ambulance!” he yelled at the staff around him.
But it was too late.
Selene’s injuries were too severe. Not even a werewolf’s powerful healing could save her.
Clara’s POV
Europe, Moonlight Castle.
Today was my birthday.
My twenty–second birthday.
“Happy birthday, my granddaughter,” my grandfather handed me an exquisite box. “This is my gift to you.”
I opened the box. Inside was a document.
It was the Petition for Dissolution of Mate Bond, stamped with a red “APPROVED” seal.
“From this day forward, you are completely free. The severing ritual will be performed today,” my grandfather smiled gently.”

No one can ever bind you again for any reason.”
I looked at the document, tears of joy welling in my eyes.
Free.
I was finally free.
“And one more gift,” Asher came over, handing me an envelope. “You might like this.”
I opened it. Inside was a letter of appointment.
Guest Professor Appointment, Parisian Academy of Werewolf Arts.
This was the most prestigious art academy in Europe, a place countless artists dreamed of.
“If you accept this position,” Asher said gently, “you can teach psychic art and have your own studio.”
“This… this is too precious,” I looked at the letter, moved.
“You deserve the best,” Asher said sincerely. “Clara, you have talent and genius. More people should see your art.”
Overcome with emotion, I threw my arms around my grandfather. “Grandfather, thank you. This is the best gift I’ve ever
received.”
