Time passed, yet there was no sign of movement in the water tank.
I sneered as I watched Zachary spout nonsense.
He didn’t know that I was already dead. How could I possibly respond to him? After all, the dead could never speak.
The unease in Zachary’s heart grew stronger. Finally, his patience ran out. “Sarah, you ungrateful bitch! Do you not
understand how lucky you are that I even came to see you?
“You used tricks to marry me, and you got pregnant with my children just to fight for

His senseless accusations and insults left me numb. My heart no longer stirred.
I stared coldly at Zachary, the man I had loved for 12 years. The noble gentleman I once admired was now gone, replaced by
nothing but a mass of hypocrisy and ugliness.
At that moment, Bobby kindly suggested, “Mr. Finch, why don’t you let Mrs. Finch out first?”
I could see that Bobby had already resigned himself to whatever would happen, and
