Chapter 16
Then he said, his tone laced with indulgence and helplessness, “I’ve been looking for you everywhere. And here you are, enjoying yourself.”
She froze slightly.
Meanwhile, he waved his hand in her face.
“I came here in person. Come out with me, alright? I’ve got something to say to you.”
She arched an eyebrow slightly, wondering if he had finally realized she was serious and was flustered.
Curving her lips, she said flatly, “Mr. Burnham, I have nothing to say to you.
“We divorced, and I quit my job already. You’re not the type to cling, aren’t you?”
Florentino didn’t say anything.
His expression darkened.
“Come out. Let’s talk.”
When saying this, he reached out to pull her forcibly.
The gap in their strength was so vast that her struggle was to no avail.
He dragged her, forcing her to stand up.
Seeing this, Lynette stood up and pushed him nervously.
“Florentino, didn’t you hear what Sandy said? You’re divorced already. Let go of her!”
Being Sandria’s best friend, Lynette naturally knew Florentino.
They had met a couple of times, but they never got along.
As always, Florentino faced her with an icy expression.
His gaze darkened as he said to her coldly, “This is between us. Piss off!”
Furious, Lynette was about to retort when Sandria stopped her.
“Lyn, let’s meet another day. I’ll leave to deal with this today.”
Sandria knew what Florentino was capable of, and she didn’t want to cause Lynette any trouble.
Still uneasy, Lynette looked at her and didn’t move.

She comforted Lynette, “Don’t worry. Nothing is gonna happen.”
After saying this, she left with Florentino under Lynette’s worried gaze.
Florentino shoved her into the passenger seat.
She was immediately hit by a sickly–sweet perfume. Clearly, it belonged to Courtney.
As she looked around, she saw a few women’s trinkets, which were all exquisite and expensive.

When Florentino bought the car, he had promised her, “Baby, you’ll be the only woman ever in the passenger seat.”
his car.
But it didn’t even take him a full month to let another woman clutter up
It reminded her of a dog pissing to mark its territory.
She couldn’t help but feel disgusted.
“I’m here now. Mr. Burnham, speak up. I’m in a hurry,” she said, her tone icy.
Florentino, however, missed the complicated emotions in her eyes. As he looked at her defiant expression, he frowned and said with displeasure, “Sandy, I’ve been too lenient toward you lately, haven’t I?
“I didn’t approve your resignation. Stop throwing a tantrum.”
A tantrum?
Was that what he thought this was?
He continued before she could respond, “I know you’re upset about me getting remarried so soon.
“If it’s really too much for you to take, I’ll send Courtney on a business trip for a few days.”
He looked at her, his eyes dripping with the same old tenderness, “Before she comes back, I’ll stay with you to help you adjust…”
When saying this, he reached out to stroke her face.
It was as if she had really been throwing a tantrum, and he was doing his best to coax her.
She finally couldn’t help but chuckle and dodged aside.
How charming she was–he’d ditch his fiancee just to be with her.
But the truth was, she no longer wanted him.
After what he had done, she’d be a fool if she wanted him back.
The sight of his disgusting face sickened her. If she had to suffer, so would he,
She patted his hand away and grabbed a tissue to wipe her chin several times in disgust.
“Mr. Burnham, I’ve said this several times already. We’re over.

“In case you don’t know, I’m with Fulbert now.
“He’ll be upset seeing you pestering me.”
When saying this, she deliberately blinked and smiled charmingly, pissing Florentino off.
She didn’t mind using Fulbert to get under Florentino’s skin.
