I walked closer and said calmly, “You’ve changed a lot.”
“Am I scaring you?”
Tyler forced a smile with his dry lips.
I shook my head and said nothing.
“You must be tired. Please sit.”
He patted the bed and gestured for me to sit next to him.
I sat down and looked indifferently at the man I loved and hated.
The atmosphere was stagnant for a moment, and Tyler said in a nostalgic tone, “Wendy, I really want to go back to the past.”
“How far back?”
I asked with some curiosity.
He looked at me and said deeply, “Go back to the time when you were still the nice girl.”
“In the past six months, every time I had a dream, I dreamed you sat there with your head tilted, listening to the teacher’s lecture, and I sat in the last row, tilting my head, quietly looking at you.
“Everything was so beautiful and simple back then.”
As he spoke, Tyler smiled.
There was endless nostalgia in that smile.
“You may not know, but I hated you so much at that time.‘
I couldn’t help but think of those days. That naughty Tyler was the childish kid I hated the
most.
“Of course I know.”
Tyler smiled knowingly and said directly, “I just deliberately made teachers angry at that time.”
“There was no other reason.
“I just wanted to get your attention.
“Look, you still remember how annoying I was back then.
“That means I succeeded, right?”
Tyler and I looked at each other and smiled.
I looked at him quietly, and he looked at me quietly.
Just like before, when I looked back at him.
His eyes were still blazing.
But there was not much emotion in my eyes, and I continued to speak calmly, “So, did you start liking me a long time ago?”
