The window started to roll up. The car was turning claustrophobic.
My muscles tensed.
“Oh, that was so much fun. Jeannie meets the weirdest guys.” Soleil sighed, leaning against my shoulder- squeezing me even closer to the other side… 0
Before I could say anything, Soren suddenly spoke. “How much did you drink?”
“Not a lot! I could drink one more bottle of that stuff!”
Soren chuckled darkly. “Ah, I see. Already addicted?”
Soleil fell conspicuously silent for a moment. “Er… I’m feeling a little faint! I need to nap for a bit! Yawn! Don’t talk me for some time, guys.”
She leaned against the car door, resting her head there–her body taking up even more space.
I was forced even closer to Soren. My legs were practically brushing against his now.
Ever the gentleman, he shifted to the side as much as he could to give me space.
Gritting through my embarrassment, I moved my butt aside to give Soleil more room.
But then–her legs started pushing into my spot.
I was basically pressed against Soren’s body now!
The car was quiet. I could feel his warmth. It was grilling me, damn it!
This was different from the last time he sent me home–back then, I was drunk out of my wits.
Right now, though? I was very conscious. Too conscious.
I was pressed up against a guy who made my heart race faster than a jet. Hell, my blood was boiling. My head was fed with all sorts of… fantasies…
Would he suddenly hold my hand? Would he… suddenly pull me into his arms?!

“Soleil Crowe, be considerate of others!” His voice cut through the silence, stern and commanding.

I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing, She knew exactly what she was doing–trying to path me toward Soren’s side.
And now, to deny Soren’s implied accusation, she was blaming the car.
A while later, Soleil drifted off to sleep.
