Chapter 332
My grandmother and aunt were right. I really was too quick to fall in love.
I decided to go to work today.

When you really thought about it, what was a man for, other than to add a little spice to your life? No way was I letting him stop me from making money and building my business.
That pep talk did the trick–I felt much better.
Unfortunately, I got a call from Cameron on my way to the company.
“You leave me no choice, Taylor. Give me money, or I’ll dump your father at your door after I get him! And yes, I know where you live–I asked Edward!” she snarled.
Cameron was getting more shameless by the day.
I laughed scornfully. “I could just move right now. Want to bet who’s quicker? If you abandon him in an empty unit, you’ll be charged with negligence. Good luck finding a new way to get back at me after that,” I retorted.
“Don’t bullshit me. That’s not a thing!”
“The Internet is your friend, ma’am. Or a lawyer.”
She went quiet.
I snickered. This woman really thought she had the brains to fight me? She and her ilk only won back then because they ganged up on one person.
But now? They were barely an alliance. Not a single one of them could take me on alone.
“Well, you’re in luck. I consider myself more of a humanitarian than you people.”
“What?! You’re gonna pay?!” Cameron asked.
“I could. But will I? That depends on you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
セン
An idea struck me. “I’ll come with you to fetch him from prison. I’ll tell you more when I get there.”
“You’re… coming to get your father?!” she cried, her voice breaking.
“Why? You don’t want me to?” I asked.
“Yes! I want you to do this! We’ll send him to a hospital, and you’ll foot the bill!” Cameron blurted, afraid I’d take back my offer. She then gave me the address.
Well, so much for my plans today.
I was in a bad mood, right? It was time to find some idiot to screw for my own pleasure.
Traffic was heavy–it was a Saturday, after all. By the time arrived, Cameron had already gotten Harry out of prison.
I spotted them from a distance. It felt damn good to see what he had become. He looked like he’d aged several decades. His hair had turned silver. He was haggard, frail. He couldn’t even bend his own legs without Cameron and Miles holding his hands to help him walk.

Chapter 332
Prison life hadn’t been kind to him, huh?
As I pulled up, they waved excitedly.
I sneered. They were so happy to see me, actually thinking I was here to save them.
They had never once looked at me or spoken to me like I was human back then. And now look at them, welcoming the beginning of their nightmare with open arms.
I slowed down, rolled down my window, but didn’t get out. smiled and glanced at Harry.
“Aren’t you guys quick?” I remarked.
Harry looked away. Out of hatred? Embarrassment?
“You’re the one who’s late! I told you, your dad’s legs can’t stand for this long!”
“So? You say that like it’s worse than the time you stripped me naked and left me outside in the freezing cold.”
