Chapter 396
Hearing Soren say it would happen “sooner or later” only made me more anxious. Did he mean sooner… or later?
While my mind was still racing, he had already brought me the presidential suite. The place was lavish and expansive, complete with a personal butler.
I snapped out of my spiraling thoughts. “Which room am leeping in?”
“The master bedroom,” he said, pointing
I gathered my clothes and stepped inside. The king–sized bed caught my eye, and a sudden realization hit me. Wait, if I’m sleeping here. then you-
He followed me into the room and closed the door behind him with a soft thud, using his back. “I’m sleeping here as well.”
I stared into his smiling eyes, stunned. “B–But t–then…”
“We’re just going to sleep in the same bed. Relax,” he said in a low, teasing voice. “Or… were you hoping for something more?”
I froze, baffled and jittery. I had a feeling I knew what he meant, and it was sending me into a quiet panic

He tilted my chin up, guiding my eyes to meet his.

Soren’s handsome face hovered closer. I instinctively backed away, but he held me still, his grip firm but gentle at the back of my neck.
Our lips met. A jolt of electricity surged between us, sharp and undeniable. I trembled
His eyes stayed open, watching me–smiling, amused, satisfied.
My cheeks flushed hot. My heart pounded like a drum.
His kiss was tender, like a gentleman’s… but laced with seduction. I felt my strength drain from my body. I couldn’t even hold on to the clothes in my arms.
He noticed. He took them from me and tossed them aside without a word.
A shaky breath escaped me. He paused, studying me with quiet curiosity, I looked down, trying to steady myself.
His smile deepened, taking on a devilish edge. Then, without warning, he scooped me into his arms and dropped me onto the bed.
It felt like falling into clouds. Everything around me turned unreal, dreamlike.

He knelt beside the bed. Even from there, his frame loomed over me.
His lips brushed against my face, tracing the rhythm of my breath. Then…
