I didn’t feel bad, though. She had brought this on herself. If she’d been a decent person, God wouldn’t have punished her like this.
“Do you agree or not?! She’s your sister! Don’t tell me you’d just watch her die!”
He was supposed to be begging me for help, but his tone bordered on a command.
Still, I had a plan.
“Fine. I guess I’ll do a good deed for once,” I said hesitantly
“Good. Show up at the hospital tomorrow with the bracelet.”
“Before that, transfer the shares,” I demanded.
“You… You’re an even bigger schemer than your mom!” he barked.
“I have to be, considering the kind of people I’m dealing with,” I rebuked.
I knew Harry was putting on an act. He wanted to transfer the shares to me but had to stage this charade because he knew I didn’t trust him.
