Chapter 46
After the final violent collision, the two of them came to a stop on the ground. Deborah was lying on top of Damian.
She lifted her hand from his chest, and the first thing she saw was the large stains of blood on his clothes.
His body was covered in wounds, all bleeding. The most severe was the sword wound on his shoulder, from which blood continued to pour out.
His face was as pale as paper, his eyes tightly shut, and he was completely still.
Deborah was so terrified that her heart nearly stopped. She gently cupped his face, her fingers trembling. “Your Highness, Your Highness, are you okay? Wake up, don’t scare me, Your Highness!”
In her panic, she even forgot that she knew medicine. She simply held his face carefully, tears streaming down her cheeks as a cold fear gripped her. “Your Highness…”
Damian’s dark eyebrows furrowed slightly.
Seeing this, Deborah suddenly remembered something. She quickly grabbed his hand and pressed her fingers to his wrist to check his pulse. He was still breathing! No, his pulse was still strong!
A huge sigh of relief escaped Deborah. She climbed beside him and knelt down, carefully pulling open his clothes. The wound on his shoulder was bleeding heavily. Thankfully, it seemed to be just a flesh wound and hadn’t damaged any muscles or bones.
She looked around. She wondered, ‘Are there any hemostatic herbs nearby?” She quickly scanned the area and was about to stand when Damian suddenly seized her wrist and yanked her back. She lost her balance and fell onto him.
Deborah nearly screamed in shock. She had pressed against his wound! “Your Highness…”
“Still… trying to run?” Damian squinted, his voice coming out in a strained breath. He coughed, and blood filled his mouth.
“No, I’m not trying to run, really!” Deborah just wanted to pull her hand away as quickly as possible.
But he held her firmly, not giving her any chance to escape. “Stop testing my patience.”
“Your Highness, I pressed on your wound.” She wondered, ‘Doesn’t it hurt?‘
Deborah could barely look at the injury herself; it made her shudder. Her hands were covered in his blood.
“Your Highness, I need to find some herbs to stop the bleeding and bandage your wound… Please, don’t move, you’re still bleeding!”
But Damian had already propped himself up. The pain from his wounds was excruciating.
However, the surroundings weren’t safe. If she left, wild wolves could easily tear her apart.
“Just stay with me for a little while,” he murmured, closing his eyes. His body was on fire with pain, but he used his internal energy to stay conscious.
“The wound needs treatment. Your Highness, you’ve lost so much blood…”
“You’re still aware that I’m bleeding?” Damian opened his eyes and looked at her coldly, sneering. “Do you remember who wounded me?”
“I…” It wasn’t intentional. But with how he treated her then, her actions had been purely instinctive,
“I’m sorry…”
“Attempting to assassinate a prince is a grave crime…”
“It’s all my fault alone, Your Highness. Please don’t take your anger out on anyone else. I’ll take full responsibility!”
“You seem to know the laws of Suensonland well. You even understand this will implicate your entire family!” Damian’s face grew even colder.
Deborah anxiously said, “Your Highness…”
Damian snorted. “When we get back, don’t mention this again.”
But Deborah’s heart twisted painfully. Even now, his thoughts were focused on how to protect her.
Damian tried to rise.

Chapter 46
Deborah’s eyes welled up with tears. “The wound needs treatment, Your Highness, please don’t move anymore!”
She gently pushed him back down and spoke softly, “I’ll look for some herbs right here, within your line of sight. Is that okay?”
“Not planning to run?” Damian fixed her with a cold stare.
Deborah lowered her head. “I’m not running.”
“Not afraid I’ll force you?”
“Your Highness!” She felt utterly wronged. He had humiliated her, yet he was now risking his life to protect her.
This strange relationship left her completely uncertain about how to deal with hi
in the future. Right now, she was already feeling anxious and
uneasy.
“Your Highness, can you stop scaring me?”
But this time, Damian seemed just as stubborn, his tone serious. “If I really forced you, would you kill m
