Chapter 90
“Oh, I see now. You’ve really taken good care of your sister–in–law, haven’t you? No wonder she’s so happy to support you.”
His tone was mocking, but his expression quickly turned serious as he looked at Sabrina.”
“Sister–in–law, everyone knows how much Mr. Ward loves you. Don’t you feel any shame treating him like this? How can you be so heartless?”
With that, he spat on the ground, turned, and walked away.”
Sabrina stood frozen, staring at Mickey in shock.
When had he ever provided emotional support? When had he ever put in any effort?”
When did he start thinking she owed him a life of comfort?”
Was this all a calculated scheme from the very beginning?”
Her stomach twisted, and her face darkened.”
“Mickey, we had an agreement. I only did this to give the Field family a descendant and repay my aunt’s kindness. You promised I wouldn’t have to worry about raising the child. What are you doing now?“”
Mickey dusted off his sleeves, his lips curling in disdain.”
“Sabrina, let me make this clear–you gave birth to all three of these kids. It’s your duty to support them. You should be the one buying them cars and houses!” His voice turned cold. “If you don’t sue Zach for the money, I’ll leave all three children with you and wash my hands of them.”
His eyes glinted with something cruel.
“For ten years, I’ve been flattering you, serving you, putting up with you even though you’re six years older than me. And now you want to walk away? Supporting me is the least you can do!”
Sabrina staggered, her knees buckling as she collapsed onto the floor. She looked up at Mickey in disbelief, her throat dry, her voice barely a whisper.
“Mickey… your mother is a liar.“\
She lunged at him, but before she could reach him, Mickey kicked her back.
“Sabrina, if you want a peaceful life, sue Ward for the money. Otherwise, don’t blame me for making things ugly.”
With that, he grabbed the three children and strutted out the door like a victor.”
At first, Sabrina thought Mickey was just bluffing. But to her shock, he actually moved himself and the children into her mother–in–law’s small two–bedroom apartment.
Without hesitation, he rolled up his mother–in–law’s bedding and dumped it in the living room. Then, he claimed the master bedroom for himself and Macky, while Mike and Mick were crammed into the second bedroom.
His justification?”
He had spent over a decade raising the kids, so he deserved to be compensated.
Brazenly, he even declared,”
“If you don’t like it, let’s ask the neighbors–shouldn’t a man who’s been humiliated for ten years and forced to raise someone else’s child be compensated?“}
Sabrina’s mother–in–law, for all her fierceness, still had some dignity left. How could she let the whole neighborhood find out that her daughter had taken in a gigolo and borne illegitimate children?”
Meanwhile, Mickey and the kids turned the apartment into chaos.\
Every day, they lounged around eating, drinking, watching TV, and playing games. The three kids ran wild–knocking over vases, toppling clothes racks, and turning the place into a battlefield.”
Fights broke out over the TV remote. One wanted fried chicken, another wanted ribs, and the third demanded sweet and sour fish. Anyone who didn’t get their way banged the table and screamed.[
The noise was endless.
Within a week, Sabrina’s mother–in–law collapsed in the bathroom from a heart attack in the middle of the night.” And Mickey?!!
He didn’t even lift a finger.”
It wasn’t until the sun was high in the sky that he finally called for an ambulance.
By the time she was rushed to the hospital, it was too late. The doctors immediately pushed her into the ICU. Though they managed to save her life, the prolonged lack of oxygen had left her partially paralyzed from the waist down.”
Mickey had barely moved out of the old house when he suddenly found himself burdened again.
His solution?
He didn’t hesitate to sell off her branded bags, clothes, and jewelry just to cover the medical bills.
Sabrina, on the other hand, spent every last cent of her savings taking care of her mother–in–law after she was discharged.
Mickey, seeing no hope of squeezing more money out of the situation, became even more unbearable 2
He spent his days sleeping and his nights blasting music at full volume, howling along with the lyrics.
Her mother–in–law, still weak from her condition, was tortured to the brink, fainting multiple times from the stress.
Sabrina no longer had time for dance performances
Now, her days were spent at home, tending to the ancestors she had never expected to serve
