It was my pregnancy report, and the word ‘triplets‘ were especially conspicuous on the sheet of paper.
Silence ensued in the banquet hall, just before thunderous cheers erupted.

Dylan was left standing in a corner, his face ashen.
I walked up to him, twirling my champagne glass as I flashed a meaningful smile. “Aren’t you happy, Dylan? You’ll have three

“Address me as Mrs. Sullivan,” I said, cutting him short as I raised my glass for an elegant sip.
Then I finished, “Or, Mom, if you like.”
Dylan’s face darkened further as he clenched his knuckles, his nails digging into his own flesh.
Just seeing him like that left me endlessly gleeful.
While news of John’s virility and that he was expecting triplets soon spread amongst elites, I was told just days later that Dylan
took Lily to the best hospital to get checked.
As the examination revealed that his sperm count was too low for natural conception, Lily had to take hormone injections
