Even so, every attempt at IVF ended in failure for Dylan and Lily.
And just the other day, I was having beluga caviar in the garden when I heard Dylan bellowing in a nearby gazebo, “Why are you such a failure?! You can’t even conceive a single child!”
“I’m sorry… just give me another chance, okay?” Lily pleaded. “The doctor said this time-”
“Shut up! Just look at you–so fat and ugly! I must be blind to ever have chosen you!”
As Dylan stormed out furiously, he paused when he saw me sitting there so elegantly.
With John doting on me for a while now, I was dazzling despite my pregnancy.
“Wendy…” Dylan leered at me obsessively, “I regret so much not being with you.”
I laughed coolly. “Are you drunk?”
Nonetheless, Dylan was suddenly kneeling before me with a gaze of wistfulness and regret. “Actually, I was reborn… You helped me when I was drugged in our last life, and we had twins after we got married… Just come with me. I will marry you once my dad
dies. I know you have loved me ever since you started working for my family.”
I paused, before putting down my spoon while my eyes flashed with contempt, “Well, do you know why it was Lily this time?”
Dylan appeared taken aback, and I smiled meaningfully while regarding him coolly. “I was reborn too, and I still remember how you murdered me and my twins. You were bent on getting together with Lily Bright, weren’t you?”
“That’s why I granted your wish–you two are going to be together for the rest of your lives. It’s just a shame that you’re never
going to have any children because of that.”
“No!!!” Dylan bellowed manically. “It’s all my fault! Please, just forgive me! Let’s start over, okay?”
That was when his eyes moved up to my swelling belly and narrowed ferociously, “Those brats shouldn’t exist!”
He suddenly stretched out his arm, ready to push my belly!
