Heath pursed his lips before nodding. “Yeah,” he said. “Is that alright?”
I could feel the other’s gazes on me. Heath was looking at me with hopeful eyes. I felt like I still had a lot I wanted to ask him, so I had the urge to agree. However, Rul suddenly Interrupted the moment.
“Sir Heath,” he said, his phone in his hand. “I think there has been a problem with the production of the denim.”
Heath frowned, “What?” he asked. “I contacted them this morning, and they said everything was alright.”
“Well, the pigment for the dark denim had been doubled, and it became extra dark wash,” Rui said.
Heath’s frown deepened. “Why did they call you though?”
Rui straightened his spine. “I am always on top of things, sir. Every supplier and contractor is under my supervision.”
Evan nodded in agreement. Heath sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.
“Alright, I’ll speak with them,” he said. Then, he turned to me with a disappointed smile. “I’ll be back in a bit.”
I nodded in understanding. I glanced at Rui and saw him winking at Evan, who had a small smile playing on his lips.

The attendant sighed, appearing tired of her job. “I’ve heard that before.”
With that, she opened the pod and let us in before quickly shutting it close.

“Really,” he reminisced, clicking his tongue. “Why did I let you go?”
The way he said those words was filled with melancholy. I placed my hand over his and removed them from my cheeks.
“Yeah, why did you?” I muttered.
“It’s a choice that will haunt me for the rest of my life,” he said.
We were engulfed in silence again.
“After the project with Mr. Miyagi, I’m going to leave Astor” he suddenly said, capturing my attention.
“What?” I exclaimed, not believing my ears.
He chuckled and ruffled my hair. “Why do you look so shocked?”
“Y–you’re going to leave the company? You’ve been working hard, though,” I muttered.
“Yeah,” he said. “But I realized it wasn’t worth it. I realized I felt it was my obligation to keep, but it wasn’t.”
“I talked to Ellie yesterday night,” he continued. “And I want to be as courageous as her, too.”
“The company had been my main focus for the time you weren’t there, but now, you’re back–my biggest priority, along with Andy.”
“Evan,” I couldn’t help but say his name tenderly.
The smile on his face couldn’t be painted.
“You know, I’m happy you never stopped calling me that name.”

“Evan,” he said, his gaze focused on his lap now. “You were the only one who called me in such a way.”
“I like it a lot,” he continued, lifting his head and looking to my eyes.
Just then, more orange light entered the pod, making me feel warmer than I already was

Then, with a small smile, he asked, “Can I kiss you?”
