Chapter 51
Third Person POV
“Why don’t we go find Ethan?” Ryan asks, turning toward Fiona, Only, she’s not there anymore. She’d been there just a second ago, but when he looks around, Ryan finds no trace of the woman he’s supposed to be protecting.
A direct order from his Alpha, and he failed.
It wasn’t good for him as second in command. He was there to serve and help the Alpha, not cause problems.
His Alpha had given him the honor to protect Fiona, and now she was missing. Worry and panic rise in the Beta, tightening his chest as he looks around the stadium. She had been three feet away from him.
How did he not realize she was gone?
One second, they were watching Ethan win the game, and the next, she was missing. The crowds funneling through the doors and down to the main floor were massive, much larger than anyone thought it would be. This was a fund raiser game, but people loved their sports. It was one of their better chances at fundraising, but now, Ryan wished it wasn’t.
The crowd would be difficult to search through, but as he looks around, Ryan hopes she didn’t get far.
Ryan didn’t know where Fiona was going, so he didn’t know where to start. Instead of standing there longer, he pushed his way through the masses. Maybe she went to the bathroom or back to the lobby where he found her earlier.
“Fiona!” He called, but with all the shouting and celebrating, there’s no way a human like her could hear him over this noise. If he didn’t find her soon, she could be hurt in a crowd like this.
So, Ryan did his best to search through the people, looking for a blue and white jersey. He uses his senses to search for her scent, but growls when all he can smell is human sweat.
“Alpha, Fiona is missing.” he says through the mind link with Ethan.
“What do you mean she’s missing?!” Ethan growls through the link. Ryan flinches back at the hard Alpha tone in Ethan’s
voice.
“I turned around, and she was gone.”
Another growl sounds through the link before Ethan orders, “Look everywhere! She could get hurt in a crowd this large.”
Fiona
I cry out, falling to the ground as someone in the crowd knocks into me. My knees hit the ground, pain spearing up my legs. Before I can move, a booted foot lands on my fingers, making me shriek and pull away.
Pain throbs through my hand as I force myself to my feet, cradling the now double injured hand to my chest. First my wrist. and now my hand. I guess I should be at least grateful that it wasn’t my good hand.
“Move, please!” I yell out, but no one does. “I need to get through!” In fact, it feels like they ignore me even more. I’m jumbled between people like a ball in a pinball machine. The crowd pushes and pushes, and within a minute, I’m against wall, being pressed flat.
the
“Let me through” I push against he nearest man with my good hand, but he doesn’t budge. A woman to my right screeches as the slams into the wall and slumps to the floor.
A jolt of fear races through me when I reach down to help her, but before I can, another body falls against the wall and lands on top of her. She lets out a groan, and I try to pull him off of her, but he’s too heavy.

Chapter 51
My chest tightens with anxiety as everything and everyone close in on me, making me feel trapped and helpless. I gasp, my breaths coming out in short, quick bursts. My vision spins and the noise grows so loud that I cover my ears. It doesn’t do much to block out the deafening noise.
The loud noise becomes hollow, but doesn’t dampen any. Instead, it just makes my head swirl.
“P–please let m–me through!” I scream again, my words coming out stuttered and pleading.
I want to get out of here.
Someone turns and looks at me, his eyes narrowing on me. For a second, I’m glad someone has spotted me. Maybe he can help me get out of here, but when his lip curls back into a sneer, my stomach drops. He doesn’t look like someone who wants to help nie.
“She’s with the Silverclaw team!” He yells, gaining the attention of several men around him. They’re all wearing shirts that proudly show off that they’re supporters of the other team.
The wall at my back keeps me trapped as they advance on me like animals after their prey. I didn’t think this could get any worse, but I was very, very wrong
“Wh–what do you want?” I ask, dropping my hands from my ears.
“We want your player to regret what he’s done,” the man in the middle- the one who saw me first- yells over the noise.
Shaking my head, I hold a hand out.
“Stop! You can’t do anything to me. This isn’t right! I haven’t done anything to you,” I yell, hoping they’ll just leave. My stomach flips as each man narrows their eyes on me. This jersey was supposed to help me, not hurt me.
“Get her, the man in the middle growls. The four men jump at me. Fear skitters through me, and I dodge to the left, narrowly missing a fist that slams into the wall.
“Leave me alone!” I scream. I jump duck under one man’s arms and try to run for it, but another attacker spins and slams his elbow int my jaw. The hit sends me to the stumbling to the side. I fall into one of the men, and he throws me down.
Crying out, I clutch my face and ribs as pain spread through my body. The aching throb makes me whimper.
“It was just a stupid game!” I scream at them while trying to push myself up. Who gets this angry over a soccer game.
One of the men growls again and grabs me by the hair, dragging me back up. He smirks when I fight against him.
“This is more than just a pathetic soccer game. I have issues with your man,” the main attacker says, plucking at Ethan’s jersey. I look down at it and then back up at the man. “Your little boyfriend won’t think about messing with our team again if be finds out his actions got his girlfriend hurt.”
I open my mouth to respond, but the man’s hand flies faster than I can speak.
The impact causes my head to snap to the side.
“This’ll be fun,” he chuckles, pulling me toward the other side of the room. I struggle against his holi, hoping someone or anyone would come to help me because even as I fight, the

When the man continues to drag me with no hint of stopping. I decide to try another approach.
“Help! Someone, help me!” I cry, but everyone around us is too loud. They’re yelling and shoving at each other, but even as the man drags me, no one pays attention. They’re too consumed in their excitement and anger to notice one woman being
