Chapter 205
Chapter 205
Josef opened his mouth to say more, but Sienna was already striding away. He couldn’t help but stare at Sienna’s long, slender legs, his heart swelling with admiration. She was stunning, cool, and powerful.
‘One day. I’m going to find a wife as incredible as Sienna, he swore to himself.
“Wait up. Sienna! Are we seriously letting that guy off? I can’t swallow this. I mean, he almost killed me he called after her.
Sienna got into the car, her expression indifferent as she shot a casual glance at his face, which flushed with anger.
“Let him
strut around a bit longer. Tonight, you’ll get front row seats to some real drama, and then he’ll pay the price,” she said.
Her words instantly sparked Josef’s curiosity. His frustration dissolved, replaced by bubbling anticipation.
“What kind of show? You’ve got something planned, right?” he asked, eyes gleaming.
Sienna cleared her throat and crooked her finger.
- r. When Josef leaned closer, she whispered her plan.
Josef clapped his hands in glee, grinning widely. “Sienna, you’re brilliant as always! If that bastard can’t cough up what he promised Jonight, let’s see how he tries to wriggle out of this. He’s finally going to get a taste of his own medicine!”
Sienna’s gaze flicked to the muddy shoe print still smeared across his cheek. She handed him another handkerchief. “Here. Wipe that off. You look funny.”
On her way home from school, Winifred noticed someone tailing her. It was just as she expected, and a sly smile curled at the corner of her lips. They think they can catch someone like me? Dream on, she scoffed inwardly.
Acting like nothing was wrong, she lured them into a secluded alley. It had been days since she’d had a proper fight. The thought of beating the arrogance out of these lackeys–and sending them crawling back to Iris–sent a flicker of excitement through her veins.
Elsewhere, Iris was absolutely livid when she heard that Winifred had called her a “crazy bitch” and a “úseless quack“, even daring her to come over and settle things face to face.
Useless! Useless! she cursed at her subordinates in her mind.
Not only had they failed to catch Winifred, but they’d let her turn the tables and humiliate her!
If she hadn’t been knee–deep in critical matters right now, she would’ve stormed over there herself to deal with that little bitch.
The 25 Serum was crucial. It could decide her entire future.
Just as she stepped out the door, Tris ran into a battered and bruised Leo. She frowned and asked, “What the hell happened to you? You
went out for a bit and came back looking half–dead”
“It was Josef. He found out I switched the serum! Iris, I was going to get rid of him, but out of nowhere, two women showed up and ruined everything. I almost got myself killed! We have to move up the deal. I can’t wait any longer. If Josef and Calvin call the cops, I’m screwed‘ We’ll lose everything, and I’ll end up behind bars!” Leo blurted out, panicked.
Iris denched her fists in frustration, her anger boiling over. With a sharp bang, she slammed her fist against the glass door, making it shudder “How many times have I told you to be careful? Do you have any idea what kind of mess that would cause for me if this leaks!”
If they found out, the serum she had could be taken away, and everything she’d built would crumble overnight
Tris. I had no choice! How was I supposed to know two women would just show up out of nowhere! Just call them, move the deal up. I’ll bring the goods over right now” Leo pleaded anxiously
turned around and grabbed her plicne with a map of irritation Fine. Get the stuff ready and take it over
