“Enough” Before he could finish, Sienna suddenly shot to her feet, her expression darkening like a gathering storm. Her voice was icy as she snapped, “They called me their daughter, but you know what they wanted. Thorn. To use me. To erase who I am. To turn me into someone I’m not. And you dare call that family?”
Her sudden burst of fury scared the hell out of Thom. In all his memories, she’d never lost control like this.
Sienna drew in a slow breath, lowered her voice, and just like that, she was back to her usual calm and collected self.
I’m not denying the kindness they showed me. They gave me a second chance at life, and for that, I owe the Noir family. But don’t forget, I paid that debt in full. Her tone was calm, but her words were steel.
