Iris waited anxiously at the entrance, her whole body tense with anticipation. She was finally about to meet the idol she’d been dreaming about day and night.
When she saw the woman in a white lab coat and wearing a mask appear before her, Iris didn’t hesitate for a second. She rushed forward, grabbed Sienna’s arm, and bowed right then and there.
“Dr. Solis, I’m your biggest fan. I finally get to meet you. Please, take me as your apprentice.” Iris’s eyes shone with excitement, her smile bright and radiant.
Sienna lowered her gaze, meeting Iris’s eyes.
Iris’s smile froze on her face, her expression twisting into something almost grotesque. Her eyes went wide with disbelief as she suddenly shot to her feet. “It’s you.
“Sienna, why are you coming out of the operating room? Don’t tell me you’re. No way, that’s impossible. Sienna, you must just be a family member, right?”
Iris couldn’t believe it. The shock hit her so hard it felt like the sky was about to collapse. Her smile drained away bit by bit, her face contorting into something ugly and full of spite.
“Sienna, say it. You’re not Dr. Solis, are you?” Iris snapped.
Iris just couldn’t accept it. She’d rather believe that Nicholas was that nurse from earlier–anyone but Sienna.
The hospital director, Isaac, hurried over with a group of doctors in tow. “Dr. Solis, it’s such an honor to meet you here. I’m Isaac Thornton, the director of this hospital.”
Noticing Iris, Isaac grinned and said, “Dr. Grant, you sure got the news fast. You’re here to see Dr. Solis, too, huh?”
Having a chance to see someone as important as Nicholas was the best luck.
“You mean she’s Dr. Solis?” Iris’s worst nightmare had just been spoken out loud.
Sienna didn’t even spare her a second glance. She brushed off the spot where Iris had touched her, her disgust written all over her face.
That look of revulsion was like a loud slap, landing squarely on Iris’s face. Everything about the moment screamed one thing; she was
the clown.
Iris shot a venomous glare at Sienna’s back as she walked away, grinding her molars so hard it felt like they might crack. ‘Sienna, why did it have to be you? Did you show up just to make me the laughingstock?‘ she wondered.
Meanwhile, Sylvie was all smiles after hearing from her classmates that Winifred hadn’t shown up at school. She felt a wave of smug satisfaction, like she’d finally gotten her revenge and could breathe easy for once,
‘Winifred, don’t blame me. You brought this on yourself. Serves you right for picking a fight with me,‘ Sylvie thought with a smirk. ‘Maybe in your next life, you’ll be lucky enough to be born into a better family.
‘Don’t even dream about getting close to high society.
Sienna only entered the operating room with Zane after Winifred was out of danger. The moment she lay down, she blacked out.
When Wayne and Nora heard about the car accident, they rushed to the hospital without a moment’s delay. Hearing that Winifred was out of danger but Sienna was still in surgery, their hearts were in their throats.
Reng hadn’t told Vivian or Amber about the accident yet. Letting them know now would only make things even messier.
Meanwhile, Reno was relentlessly investigating the car accident. She finally tracked down the suspect. Even if he had already fled overseas, catching him would be a walk in the park.
The Grant family, Reno sneered inwardly. ‘Looks like it’s time for them to go bankrupt. Just wait. Miss Enna will make you wish you were dead‘
Iris listened to the hospital staff gushing about Nicholas, her jealousy growing like a vine, wrapping tighter and tighter around her heart.

Chapter 254
“Wayne?” As Iris walked, she spotted Wayne.
“Hi, Miss Grant,” Nora greeted her with a frosty face. As for Wayne, he acted like Iris was invisible, not even sparing her a glance.
Iris’s eyes were glued to Wayne, her smile dazzling. “Wayne, it’s been ages. How have you been all these years?”
Wayne frowned, his eyes full of disdain and disgust. “Stay away from me.”
The look in Wayne’s eyes stabbed at Iris’s heart all over again. The whispers and stares from everyone else were nothing compared to the knife–twist of his disgust.
‘Did he really hate her this much?‘ Iris thought, her heart aching. ‘I love him so much. Doesn’t he see that? We are childhood friends, after all.’
“She’s out of danger and will wake up in a few hours,” Zane said as he walked out of the operating room.
Nora felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders, almost going weak at the knees. “As long as Enna’s okay, that’s all that matters.”
Upon watching Wayne rush anxiously toward Sienna, Iris’s heart burned with jealousy and hate, disappointment mixing with bitterness inside her.
Of course, it’s Sienna again, Iris thought bitterly. ‘You are such a troublemaker. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have ended up like this.
Iris clenched her fists, seething with hatred as she made her way to Winifred’s hospital room. The place was crawling with bodyguards- not even allowed to get close, let alone go in if you were a stranger.
But this was a hospital, and Iris was a doctor.
Getting into the room would be a breeze. ‘Heh, Sienna, I’m going to take Winifred’s life, Iris thought coldly to herself.
