Chapter 264
Sienna Hart felt like this wasn’t real, almost convinced she was hallucinating. She dug her nails deep into her palm, the sharp pain finally snapping her back to reality.
Sienna’s heart skipped a beat. She never imagined their reunion would be like this, a mix of disbelief and irony swirling inside her.
“Twenty million. Him! I’m bidding on him,” she declared this ten years ago.
At her bid, no one else bothered to raise the price. Who would really pay more for these people? They were just here to scratch some sick itch.
“Lana Yost, tell them to bring the person to my room, Sienna instructed, stepping into the elevator–she needed to take care of the Black Horse situation first.
Black Horse was lurking by the roadside, waiting for Sienna Hart to show up. But he never expected Sienna to come after him to settle the score. Before he could even say a word, someone pressed a gun on his head and marched him into a dark room.
The room was shrouded in darkness, with only fragments of moonlight scattered across the floor. Sienna hid herself in the shadows, her figure barely discernible.
Lana landed a sharp kick to Black Horse’s leg, forcing him to his knees. His face twisted in pain and anger. “Who are you? What do you want–money, or something else?”
Sienna spoke in a cool, detached tone, “Weren’t you waiting for me outside? The wind’s biting out on the street. I was just being nice.Why are you upset?”
Black Horse’s expression froze. He realized she was the one from the private room.
Black Horse gritted out. “What exactly do you want?”
Instead of coming closer, Sienna turned to face the window. “Black Horse, I know who you are. Killing you would just dirty my hands. So do yourself a favor–tell me who told you about the island.”
“Who are you?” Black Horse muttered, a chill running down his spine.
“You’re too noisy,” Sienna said impatiently, waving her hand, Lana immediately got the message, pulled out a knife, and stabbed it hard into Black Horse’s palm.
“Ah! My hand” Black Horse screamed.
Lana leaned in, her voice cold and unyielding. “If you still don’t talk, you can say goodbye to that hand.”
Realizing he’d messed
up
someone he shouldn’t have, Black Horse quickly lowered himself, desperation in his voice. “Three months ago, someone approached me…”
Sienna instantly knew who it was, “Wow, I barely left and she’s already making her move. I want her in front of me by tomorrow night”
“As you wish,” Lana replied.
Meanwhile, Finn Eaton found himself lying on a bed. He pushed himself up, disoriented. He vaguely remembered being betrayed by his most trusted subordinate, who had poisoned him.
Finn rubbed his temples, feeling a strange heat coursing through his body. He got out of bed and walked to the window. He was still in Pyreson, in the hotel of the region’s largest underground auction house. He didn’t know how he ended up here.
Without wasting another second, he started searching for his personal belongings. He found nothing, then opened the door and stepped out. No one was guarding.
As soon as he got downstairs, he ran right into the people who were looking for him. Finn bolted, making a dash for the elevator. Getting down was easy, but getting upstairs required a key card–and he didn’t have one.
“Mr. Eaton, come with us, the leader said coldly, giving him a hard, icy stare.
Finn didn’t even spare him a glance. “Don’t even think about it. Go back and tell him–I’m going to get to the bottom of this, no matter
what.”
