“Scarlett, tell me, what’s going on?”
Scarlett froze. Her pupils contracted and she muttered in a daze.§
“How could the Butterfly Etching Water be poison? He told me it would heal your leg… How could he lie to me?”
“There must be a mistake! I didn’t do this–it wasn’t me!“}
Richard could no longer lie to himself.”
“So, it really was you… Scarlett, you actually did this to me…”
With the truth exposed, Richard became a true invalid.}
Max and I took our leave, giving the Thaddeus Family space to handle their issues.
In the next two months, Max found every excuse to meet with me.”
One day, he brought new information about Richard.
It turned out Scarlett never went to the snowy mountains for Snow Lotus.
Instead, she spent a month with a fraudster, hoping for a miracle cure.
That fraud was someone Richard had offended. He used Scarlett to take revenge.}
When Richard found out, they fought bitterly.
In a rage, Scarlett screamed, “You’re a cripple no, who would want you besides me?! If I’d known I couldn’t cure you, I’d have found
someone else already! You still have the nerve to scold me?!“}
“You should face reality. Everyone calls you ‘Disabled Thaddeus‘ now!” Enraged, Richard hit her. Scarlett fled and quickly found a new benefactor. But she was beaten and sent back to the Thaddeus household in disgrace.
This time, Richard snapped. He locked Scarlett in and tortured her.

Diana had her committed to a mental institution.

Richard wheeled himself over, desperation in his eyes.
“Victoria, don’t marry him.
“I remember everything now. I was wrong in our past life. I know that. Will you give me another chance?”
I froze.
He had been reborn too.
Max shielded me.
“Richard, what nonsense are you spouting?”
“I haven’t even dealt with you for what you did. How dare you show your face?“}
Richard looked past him and into my eyes.
“Victoria, I know you were reborn too. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have let me die in this life.”
“I know you resent and hate me. It’s all my fault.”
“But I regret it, everything. I regret not cherishing you. I regret how I treated you. I’ve loved you all along. I just didn’t realize it.” “Please, give me another chance.”
I looked at him coldly.
“Richard, what are you regretting? Isn’t this the ending you wanted in your last life?“!
