At this point, Andy also chuckled before getting to the point. “I’m going to race you.”
Upon hearing those words, Madelyn raised an eyebrow, unsurprised.
“The rules are pretty straightforward,” Andy explained patiently. “We start from the same spot at a designated time. Whoever reaches the finish line first, wins.”
“If you win,” he proposed, “not only can you take your friend with you, but I’ll also reward you with a bonus -one million in cash.”
After a brief pause, Andy continued with a smirk, “Of course, if you lose, not only will you fail to leave, but you’ll have to pay me five million in return. Moreover, if luck isn’t on your side, there’s a good chance you might end up in a fatal accident. So, are you still willing to gamble with me?”
After Andy finished speaking, he was certain Madelyn wouldn’t dare accept the terms. He said, “This is your last chance to back out. It’s better if you quit now while you still can.”
After he finished speaking, a burst of laughter erupted from the people around him.
“Exactly, hurry up and leave!”
“Her, racing a car? No way.”
For a moment, everyone doubted Madelyn’s abilities, clamoring for her to back out.
Jillian anxiously advised, “Madelyn, you should stop worrying about me. Just leave quickly.”
Unexpectedly, Madelyn suddenly laughed in a carefree manner and agreed, “No problem.”

Christopher, however, unabashedly moved closer. “Of course it concerns me. Your affairs are my affairs. Moreover, it’s fortunate that you ran into me today. Who knows what kind of danger you might have encountered if you were here alone.”

Her gaze swept over the crowd, still in search of her partner.
Just then, out of the corner of her eye, it seemed as though she caught sight of a familiar figure.
Madelyn was worried that she might have been seeing things, so she rubbed her eyes.
When she took another look, she realized she hadn’t been mistaken.
The man was lean and tall, his features strikingly handsome. He appeared to be only a few years older than Madelyn.
His every movement brimmed with youthful energy. His irreverent and carefree demeanor was unforgettable, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who saw him.
Thus, there was no way Madelyn could possibly forget him.
In her past life, during her darkest times when she was penniless, it was this man who had sold the last pair of earrings his mother had left him before her death, using the proceeds to aid her.
After Madelyn was imprisoned, this person went above and beyond, exhausting every possible method and putting forth his utmost effort to try and get her out.
