Chapter 162 Step Away From Me
“Sebastian!” Madelyn shrieked in terror, abruptly jolting awake from her dream.
Sebastian was jolted awake by a piercing scream. He immediately switched on the light, only to find Madelyn in a state of shock.
A fine sheen of sweat coated her forehead, her breathing becoming increasingly labored in sync with her racing heartbeat. She looked as if she had just narrowly escaped death in a dream.
Seeing her condition, Sebastian quickly patted her back. “Did you have a nightmare?”
Tears welled up in Madelyn’s eyes as she suddenly lunged forward, throwing herself into Sebastian’s arms, holding him tightly.
“Sebastian, can you promise me not to go on the business trip? I’m begging you, can you please not go?”
“What happened?” Sebastian gently soothed as he patiently inquired.
Madelyn, shivering, confessed, “I had a dream carlier. You were on a business trip and got ambushed. Many people died, and you were covered in blood. Sebastian, I’m genuinely worried about you. Can you please not go on the business trip?”
As Madelyn spoke, a hint of a sob crept into her voice. It seemed like she was on the verge of tears, overwhelmed by a sense of grievance.
Sebastian’s heart ached as he watched her, unable to resist gently holding her frail body, patiently comforting her. “Don’t worry, didn’t you say this is just a dream? Besides, dreams are often the opposite of reality, nothing will happen to me.”
However, Madelyn, upon hearing those words, was resolute in her refusal to comply. She mumbled, “Just don’t go…”
She was genuinely worried as most of the events from her past life had reoccurred in this one.
Holding Sebastian tightly, Madelyn couldn’t help but whine, “Will you just agree not to go, please? I’m really worried about you. What if something happens to you, how am I supposed to live?”
Upon hearing her gentle and tender voice, Sebastian’s heart warmed.
However, visiting Rodunst was a must. The matter at hand pertained to the significant influence the Lockhart family held abroad. If it was left unattended, the loss would be substantial.
As a businessman, Sebastian refused to tolerate such mistakes.
Yet, upon seeing how delicate and adorable Madelyn was, Sebastian couldn’t bring himself to refuse. He could only verbally agree, saying, “Mhm, mhm, you’re right, I won’t go.”
Madelyn could immediately tell from his tonality that he was being insincere.

Sebastian’s face paled as he said in a calm manner. “Get off me.

Unexpectedly, Madelyn still had a smug look on her face. “So what if I don’t? What can you do about it?” she retorted.
“Really?” Sebastian chuckled playfully. He leaned in, his breath tickling her ear as he teased, “I can eat you up.”
No sooner had the words fallen than a surge of strength enveloped the petite figure in his arms, flipping her over. His towering frame immediately pinned her underneath him.
This suggestive pose immediately sparked Madelyn’s regret.
Her face was flushed all the way to the tips of her ears as she pleaded pitifully, “Sebastian, I was wrong…”
Sebastian gave a nonchalant smirk. “Too late.”
Following that, in a swift, almost effortless motion, Madelyn’s pajamas were unceremoniously tossed off the bed.
Following closely behind, two pitiful pieces of intimate clothing were also tossed off.
In just a short while, he began to move under the covers.
That night, sparks flew uncontrollably, as if the heavens were clashing with the earth, creating an unstoppable force.
After what felt like hours of turmoil, as the sky began to brighten with the first light of dawn, Madelyn finally succumbed to exhaustion. Her body went limp, and she was at last left alone. Then, she fell into a deep sleep.
When she woke up again, it was already noon and Sebastian was nowhere to be found.
After asking Lydia, Madelyn found out that Sebastian had gone to the office early in the morning. What a headache.
Having no other choice, she tidied up and rushed off to school.
After arriving at school, she once again ran into Janessa.

Madelyn replied honestly, “I’m heading off to the combat training center for my class.”
“Huh? You’re taking classes on this too?” Jillian was taken aback, considering it was uncommon for girls to pick up martial arts.
Madelyn cheerfully nodded in agreement. “Yeah, I thought I’d learn something for self–defense.”
Suddenly, an idea popped up and she said, “Oh right, Jillian, if you’re interested, why don’t you join us. would be great to practice together.”
“Huh? Me?” Jillian immediately shook her head, expressing her lack of confidence. “Never mind, I’m sure I wouldn’t be good at it.”
Her response greatly displeased Madelyn. “Nonsense,” she retorted. “How can you claim to be bad at something you’ve never even tried?”
