On the bustling road, Madelyn sat in a taxi heading straight for the black market, followed closely by Malcolm and his team.
A short while later, they arrived at the black market.
Using the pass given by Septimus, Madelyn smoothly reached the second floor of the casino.
“Hey, where’s that kid who usually follows you around? Why didn’t he come today?” Septimus greeted her

Madelyn smiled back. “He’s busy.”
In truth, she hadn’t informed Josiah about this matter and didn’t intend to.
She knew she would meet the person who sold the drug to Eunice tonight. That would possibly make her some enemies. Bringing Josiah along would only get him involved.
“Mr. Septimus, how’s the investigation going?” she asked, casually sitting on a nearby sofa.
Septimus sat down as well, calmly saying, “According to the investigation, the person behind these drugs is another high–level manager of our black market, named Pigeon. This person has a shady background and was previously imprisoned for dealing illegal drugs. Later, by a twist of fate, he ended up in our black market.
